Out of time: In the hospital room

"There you are," Laura's voice suddenly rang out. Laura was sitting casually on a bench next to the sickroom, waiting for Nora and the Hargreeves siblings. So she interrupted the answer to the question. "We're here!" Nora announced solemnly. Nora opened the door to the hospital room where Lila was lying.

"What do we have to do to save Lila?", Diego asked shakily. "Leave that to us. You have another mission now." Nora replied. "What do we have to do now?" asked Five, totally confused. Nora began to grin mischievously. "Do you remember the conversation we had a few days ago? At the Hotel Obsidian. In the Sparrow timeline?" Nora helped the Hargreeves siblings get started.

Flashback: 2019 Sparrow timeline

... In the Hotel Obsidian, the Umbrella members were sitting at one of the tables and discussing things. Suddenly, someone appeared behind Five.

It was a woman in her twenties. Her hair was brown and long. A few purple highlights accentuated her long straight hair.

"Nice to see you again. You've really messed up a lot." said the woman behind Five. Startled, they all turned to her and stared into her very familiar turquoise-blue eyes.

"Ah, man! I was startled. At first, I thought you were the manager!" Diego exclaimed, startled. But he calmed down again.

In fact, Nora had a very similar sense of humor to the manager. But hers was a little more caring than the manager's.

"Nora Soraya! ... How do you know who we are? I mean, we're from a different timeline." Viktor asked, confused.

"I know that you are from another timeline. I have ways and means to transfer my consciousness to one of my other "I's" via the various parallel timelines and to speak to you briefly. But we don't have much time. It gets exhausting in the long run." Nora answered the question.

"Okay, just as secretive as Dad," said Klaus. "So you got the message from Ben?", Nora said casually. "Wait, that was your work?", Allison asked, puzzled. "Yes, cleverly summarized. Allison. It would be better not to bring it up with Ben from the Sparrow's. He doesn't know anything about it himself." Nora said with a forced smile.

"But how...?" Diego faltered. "All in good time," Nora said calmly. "Okay, back to the original topic. How do you Nora think we can get back home?" asked Five, who had regained his composure.

"First of all, you've gotten yourself into a lot of trouble, and you're not thinking about the consequences. You were wrong. I'm very disappointed in you. Especially you five. You should know all about time travel. Shouldn't you? But you didn't follow any of the rules and instead did the stupidest thing you could possibly do on a time travel trip! Take a look around you! You can see the result in front of you. The rest of you may not have known, but it would have done you good to have such important information! Do you realize what you've actually done?" Nora lectured the siblings.

"A telling off, what should we have expected?" Klaus said. The others sighed at Klaus' comment and shook their heads. "Okay, yes, we messed up, and we can really see and feel it. But it happened. The important thing is. How can we straighten this out?" Viktor tried calmly. "Okay, guys, we don't have much time. I won't be here in a minute, so here's the plan. You have to travel back in time again, but this time you have to stick to the rules. Do you understand?" asked Nora Ernst. Everyone nodded and listened intently.

"So firstly: Nobody, absolutely nobody, is allowed to see you. Secondly: Normally, let things take their course. But in your case, you need to stop your other "I's" from doing the things that have already happened for you. Is anything unclear?" Nora asked the Umbrella group.

"Yes, what mistakes do we have to correct exactly?", asked Diego. "Think carefully!", said Five, now also a little annoyed. "Five must be getting fed up with having to deal with paradox psychoses all the time," said Nora with an ironic smile. "Yup. That pretty much hits the nail on the head." Five confirmed sarcastically with a sigh.

"First: Harlan must be stopped from drowning himself in the lake. Vanya must not revive him. Because if that happens, your existence will be jeopardized. Secondly: Under no circumstances are you to make contact with Sir Reginald Hargreeves! Otherwise, you will not be adopted! Third: The five problem. Luther and Five. You shouldn't even visit the Five in the adult body. Do you understand that?" Nora said bitterly. "Fine, but how do we do it without a paradox psychosis?" asked Luther.

"Quite simply, there are two options. First: We let our other siblings do it, so we're not around ourselves. Or second: we have to intercept them in the alley year after year and take them with us. Before this story even emerges, and deal with the paradox psychosis until we find a way to stop it all." Five named the possibilities.

"Five, you can do it after all. What's the saying? You learn from your mistakes," said Nora appreciatively. "Okay, but now we just need a suitcase to put the plan into action," said Five. "All in good time. The messenger told you that someone would come and pick you up with a suitcase at the right time. The question now is, which of the two options will you choose?" Nora asked with a mysterious smile. Nora didn't want to reveal, yet, that Ben from the Umbrella Academy was back among the living. This was going to be a surprise. "That's a really good and difficult question," said Allison.

"There's one more important thing to consider. It's about Ben. He has to rescue Vanya in the FBI building. This thing of a ghost doesn't really change much. But it's important, otherwise there's another paradox." Nora explained.

"I think we'll go for the first option," said Five. "Good, then we have our plan now. Next question. Who takes over when?" asked Diego. "You'll have to discuss this further without me. My time is up now. End of message." Nora said her last words before turning and leaving.

Just as Nora had taken a few steps, a jolt went through her body and the Nora from the Sparrow timeline had regained full consciousness. The Umbrella Group looked after Nora for a moment. Then they turned around again and looked at each other questioningly.

Then Lila joined them at the table. "Did I miss anything?", Lila asked after a close inspection of the group. "Yes, you did," said Five, honestly but sarcastically. "Lila, sit down first, then we'll tell you," said Diego. Lila silently followed Diego's request. "Okay, out with the language! What did I miss?" asked Lila directly. "So that was..." Viktor began to recount what had been discussed earlier. Review over.

Back in the hospital room. Out of time

Suddenly, Five realized something. "That's why the kidnapping!", Five exclaimed in recognition. "Excuse me?", Viktor asked. "What do you mean?", asked Luther. "I don't quite follow you," said Diego. "Well, I have no idea at all." said Klaus. "Let's hear it." Nora asked Five with interest.

"It was never about kidnapping us..." Five began, but was then interrupted. "But what?" asked Diego. "Don't interrupt Five!" Laura hissed. "... But to bring us together. To enable us to undo our mistakes!" concluded Five. "That's right." Nora confirmed.

"But with Allison's death. With Sparrow Ben's disappearance. Or Lila's death injury and the dead baby. Doesn't make sense to me yet." Five added. "You'll understand all that when the time comes." Laura repeated Nora's words. "You don't have to worry about Sparrow Ben now. The matter is already settled," Nora said firmly.

"Okay, next question. How do we even get to the year 1963? Without One Suitcase or Five's powers?" asked Luther. The Hargreeves siblings looked at the One Classics seriously and questioningly. "Funny you should ask," said Laura with amusement. "What's funny about that anyway?" asked Diego seriously. Laura continued to grin. Alex, the quadruplets and Nora were grinning too.

"What's there to grin about? That's a very serious question." Viktor also spoke up. "That's my part. I'll take care of it." Laura finally spoke up. "How are you going to do that, please?" asked Five with narrowed eyes. "Did you know that my power includes time travel?", Laura replied with a know-it-all tone.

That annoyed Five a little. It was so annoying to him that someone knew something better than he did. Especially in this situation, he had no powers, so like the rest of his siblings, he had to rely on the One Classics . If they wanted to fix the problem, they were forced to work together. Five snorted. "Okay, then." Five said between clenched teeth. "What exactly is going to happen next?" Luther asked. Laura grinned mischievously. "All right then," Laura just said.

She walked towards the mirror in the room. Laura placed one hand on the mirror surface and concentrated. She closed her eyes briefly and imagined the mirror surface slowly dissolving and transforming into a portal opening.

Laura opened her eyes again. The mirror portal shimmered in all the colors that refracted in the light. Laura's hand slowly sank into the mirror surface of the portal. Her arm was already disappearing into the mirror. But she stopped, but she noticed how the portal sucked at her.

The Hargreeves siblings gasped in surprise. They had never seen Laura's power live before. "You're amazed, aren't you?" grinned Olivia. "Speechless?" asked Leon, amused. "Come on, hurry up! Jump through the portal. I can't hold it off for too long." Laura spoke emphatically. "Are you sure we won't all end up looking like 13-year-olds?" asked Diego, not really convinced.

"Absolutely sure! Provided you really want to be teenagers again." Finja added her two cents. "What, you can do that? Really?" asked Luther in amazement. "Yes, you fools! Now jump in, or we'll have to do plan C," said Laura energetically. "What would plan C be?", asked Viktor. "You'd rather not know," replied Nico.

"One more thing. Don't forget to stay very close to me. Understood?" Laura reminded them. "Why?" asked Five curiously. "So that you don't get lost! This is a mirror maze! You can get lost there!" Laura explained seriously. "Okay, it's okay." Five raised her hands defensively.

One by one, the Hargreeves siblings reluctantly jumped into the mirror portal. Then, Laura gave herself a push and went all the way into the mirror. The mirror portal closed again behind her. ...

Third timeline: Reginald Hargreeve's estate

Three, Tiara and Sara were cleaning up the bloodbath mess. They were so engrossed that the three of them didn't realize that someone had entered the mansion. "What on earth has happened here?" asked Reginald Hargreeves, surprised and not exactly pleased. Reginald Hargreeves had come home with his alien wife, Abigail. "We were attacked," Three replied curtly. "A fight broke out here and some of our members were killed." Tiara began to report. "But one of the attackers also died." Sara finished out loud. "WHAT!", Abigail Hargreeves exclaimed in surprise.

"DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU'VE GOT YOURSELVES INTO?" thundered Reginald Hargreeves. "Guys, I think we have a problem," whispered Three to Sara and Tiara. "You can say that again," replied Tiara, annoyed. "What do we do now?", Sara asked meekly. "The world is going to end!", Reginald Hargreeves shouted in frustration. "That's not good," said Sara nervously. "Can we stop this somehow?", Tiara asked.

"No, that's no longer possible. The chance is already gone. With the bodies lying here, it's too late." replied Abigail Hargreeves gruffly. "What is this heat all of a sudden?" asked Sara. "Look out the window!" exclaimed Tiara. She pointed her finger outside. "This is the end of the world!" said Three emotionlessly. Sir Reginald Hargreeves began to rage with anger.

... In the distance, you could hear a window of the property shatter and a flower pot fly out in a high arc. ...

"Now calm down, darling. It's all too late now anyway." sighed Abigail Hargreeves. "I'm making an exit." announced Three. A blue-purple flash appeared and disappeared as it had come. Three had taken off faster than Reginald and Abigail could react.

... In the next moment, an unknown hot pressure wave caused the house to explode. ... The entire third timeline collapsed and disintegrated piece by piece. ... Another end of the world. ... The only one who could save himself from the third timeline was Three.
