Darkness ...

... "Hey! Wake up!" a voice called out. "No. Five more minutes," Viktor mumbled sleepily to himself. "I said you should wake up!" the voice spoke more forcefully. This was followed by a slap. Viktor blinked a few times, but it remained dark. All at once, he was wide awake. He stood up abruptly and looked around. Everything was pitch black. "Where am I?" Viktor asked into the room. "Well, you're finally awake. It took me half an eternity to get you awake. By the way, the question should rather be. Where are we?" complained a female voice. "Who are you?" Viktor asked, perplexed.

He might not have been able to see the person, but he could hear them. The voice also sounded somehow familiar. "Why don't you introduce yourself first?" bluffed the female voice, annoyed. (All right, then.) Viktor thought to himself. He really wasn't in the mood for arguments. "So I'm Viktor Hargreeves. So who are you now?" Viktor asked curiously. The female voice sighed. "All right. So I am. Melody Evergreeves" imagine the girl ...

Outside of time: In the dark room

... After a few minutes, they arrived at a door labeled no. 7. Aidan opened the door and Five was pushed through with all his strength by Luther Soraya. Five immediately tried to run back out, but the door was immediately shut and locked. "Hey! Let me out!" Five roared and pounded his fists against the locked door in rage. But no one answered.

After a while, he gave up and tried to calm down and think. (How could he get out of here?) Then he turned around and registered the room. The first thing you immediately noticed was that he was enveloped in absolute darkness, that you couldn't see your own hand in front of your eyes. (That's great!) (What's the point of all this now?) Five thought mockingly. But before Five could think any further, he heard something strange in the darkness. (Wasn't he here alone?) "Hello, is there anyone else here?", another female voice asked through the darkness ...

... "Stop making so much noise! That won't help us get out of here!", another female voice bluffed, annoyed. "Ouch!" said a third voice, but this time it was male. You could hear what, or rather someone, slapping the floor. "What was that all about?", asked the first female voice again, indignant through the darkness. "I'm sorry, but I can't see anything in the darkness myself," the second female voice replied snappishly.

"You're pretty strong for a girl." came the male voice that had fallen to the ground. This was followed only by another thud that could be heard. "I'm older than you and no longer a little girl!", the second female voice scolded again. But this time threateningly. "It's all right, I'm sorry. I can't see anything in the dark." the male voice apologized.

"I just wonder how you keep catching my brother?" asked the first female voice. "I wonder how you can claim that I'm still a little girl?" the second female voice got upset again. "Maybe because your voice sounds so young?" the male voice intervened. "Appearances can be deceiving! You know?" snapped the second female voice unpleasantly.

"Okay, calm down again." suggested the first female voice. "You want me to chill out?" asked the second female voice ironically. "YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S AT STAKE! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT I HAVE BEHIND ME!" the second female voice began to rage.

Five couldn't listen to any more of this. The three of them had probably forgotten about him again. (Or, was there more here?) Five breathed in and out once more, then gave himself a jerk. "Hello? Who are you anyway?" asked Five suspiciously, but also curiously. He recognized the second girl's voice from somewhere, but he couldn't place it at the moment. Five had stopped banging on the door by now and had turned around to where he thought the voices were.

"You're still here too. Sorry, the darkness can make you forget someone when they're sitting so still," said the male voice. "Why should you care?", the second female voice bluffed unkindly. "Maybe because there are four of us stuck here now!", replied the first female voice. "Okay, if there are already four of us stuck here, there must be a reason." mused the male voice.

"I'd be in favor of us introducing ourselves first and working together to get out of here." suggested the first female voice. "Yes! So I'm Sam Porter." the male voice introduced himself. "I'm Luna Porter. Sam and I are twins." the first female voice introduced herself. (So Luna and Sam were twins.) (Interesting.) (But who was the other girl?) Five asked himself mentally.

"Who are you? I don't think the other girl is. Um, excuse me. I mean, the woman will introduce herself. The way she is." said Luna. "Just because you can't see me doesn't mean I can't hear you!" the female voice who hadn't introduced herself spoke up.

Five pondered. (Should he introduce himself?) (How would you react to his number?) He didn't have a name. Just a number. "Aren't you going to introduce yourself either?" asked Sam, a little disappointed. Five gave himself a jolt. "I'm Five." Five hesitantly introduced himself. "Uh. Are you saying you're five years old? But your voice sounds older than five years old," said Luna, confused.

"I don't think five is his age. It's his name," said Sam hesitantly and surprised. "Well, you can't exactly say that the number five is a name." said Luna. "But his name is Five." the unknown person intervened in a female voice. "You can sound a bit friendlier after all," Sam said. The female did not reply.

"Well, to be precise, I'm Five Hargreeves." Five completed his surname. "Wait, did you just say Hargreeves?", asked the female who still hadn't said her name. "Yes." Five confirmed, a little confused. "I know you!" exclaimed the young female voice, who still hadn't introduced herself. "How do you know me, please, without seeing me?", Five asked suspiciously.

"Does the Time Travel Commission mean anything to you?", the female voice continued. "Yes, but what do you mean? I can't follow you." Five was a bit overwhelmed. He was on the edge of his seat. (What did the other woman want from him?)

"Okay, I apologize for pissing you off just now. But it's because of the situation. I hope you'll accept my apology?" the girl apologized. "I'm fine," Luna replied. "Sorry, accepted," replied Sam.

"I am Two. To be precise: Two Evergreeves." she finally introduced herself. "Okay, just as weird as Five's name." Luna spoke. "You don't say," agreed Sam with his twin sister. "But wait. Something is really ringing a bell. Yes, it does. I think we had a few jobs together once." mused Five aloud. "Yes. We had some jobs together, but not all of them." confirmed the girl, who was called Two.

"But what I don't understand is. How you all got to this time?" Five asked aloud. "I wonder the same about you," replied Two. "We're wondering the same about both of you," said the twins as if from the same mouth. "But there's one more question we're interested in." Sam began. "What's that?" asked Five curiously. "Your voices sound so young, almost like teenagers. How old are you and when were you born?" asked Luna cautiously. "Luna and I were born on October 1. 1989. We're about 30 years old," Sam added.

"WHAT!", Five and Two exclaimed in surprise. "You're from the 43 other children who were born on October 1. 1989!" exclaimed Two in surprise. "Wait. You too?" asked Luna and Sam at the same time. "Okay, I think this is going to blow your minds." began Five. Tell me!" demanded the twins. "Take it easy," said Two energetically.

"So I ran away from home when I was 13 years old. I had the power of teleportation and time jumping. Before all this happened. I got stuck in the future. Well, then the whole mess began. I turned 58 years old. Returned back to 2019 and got stuck in my 13-year-old body. I must have miscalculated and yes, the end of the world was coming. Three times." Five began to narrate.

"Okay, that works..." began Luna. "... Off we go." Sam finished the sentence. Typical twins. Thought Two at the same time as Five. "Guys, now let Five finish his story. That certainly wasn't all." guessed Two. "What?", Sam asked incredulously. "More?", Luna's voice asked, a little shocked. "Yes, more." confirmed Five. "Get out!", said Two curiously and excitedly.

"So. The first time on April 01. 2019. In the time, we all know. I'm going to say the first timeline. I took my family back in time before the first end of the world. Where the second world ended in Dallas. On November 25, 1963. In the past had awaited us. Fortunately, we managed to prevent it. But there were consequences, and it triggered the grandfather paradox. We thought we had jumped back to the right time, to April 2, 2019. But it wasn't the Umbrella Academy that awaited us there, but the Sparrow Academy. Let's call it the Second Timeline for Paradox. In this timeline, a ball lightning awaited us, which was responsible for the third end of the world. In the end, Reginald Hargreeves the adoptive father of me and my siblings had drained Umbrella Academy and Sparrow Academy of our powers, charged a weird machine with them and reset the world. We were then now transported to, say, the third timeline. Then I was abducted by Nora's adopted children. Learned that outside of time my body took on the appearance of a 16-year-old and yes. Here I am now," Five told.

"That's really a lot," said Luna incredulously. "I guess that was just the short version," replied Two. "Just the short version?" Sam asked, still in disbelief. "Yes. Two guessed it." confirmed Five. "But how did you know Two?" asked Luna curiously. "It was a feeling. A vague hunch." replied Two. "But you were right!" Sam exclaimed.

"Okay, now I'm curious about your stories. How did you end up here?" Five now asked curiously too. "Phew. That's a long story too." replied Two with a sigh. "It's a long story for us too." Luna sighed as well. "You don't say." Sam agreed with his sister. "Which one of you wants to start?", Five asked a little impatiently.

"How about me?" suggested Two. "Let's hear it. I'm curious to hear your story," said Five with interest. "I'm curious to hear your story, too." agreed Luna. "I'm curious too." agreed Sam, Luna, and Five.

"Okay. So. It was actually similar to you Five, but maybe a little different, and it wasn't out of insubordination. It was more of an accident ..." Two began her story ...
