Third timeline
"Right, everyone. Aidan, Ben, Sara, Lila and I have to get going." announced Tiara. "Can you manage without us?" asked Sara. Addressed to Luther, Diego, Thalia, and Klaus. This would mean the corpses and the unconscious Double version of Luther, Diego, and Klaus. "Yes, of course. You go ahead. I'm sure Nora needs you more." Thalia replied. Aidan, Ben, Sara, Lila, and Tiara all held on to Aidan. Aidan jumped and took Ben, Sara, Lila, and Tiara with him. Together they disappeared into the blue-violet light.
"Now let's get to work," said Diego Soraya, who was still holding an axe. "Do you all think they're really dead?" Luther Soraya, asked as a precaution. "Like hell they are! I can already see their spirits coming out of their bodies." Klaus replied to Soraya. "I have to agree with Klaus. I did the same with Allison..." Thalia smacked her lips, blood all around her mouth.
Thalia could also see ghosts. Since she herself was somehow dead. She was a vampire, after all.
Thalia sucked all the blood out of Allison until she was drained of blood. Then Thalia pounced on the other corpses where there was still blood to be had. Meanwhile, Luther, Diego, and Klaus tied up their doubles. They had to hurry. Who knew how long their Double version would remain unconscious. When the quartet had finished, they each pressed a button on their bracelets and all disappeared into the blue light. Back to the headquarters.
Flashback: 22 years earlier
Laura, Cecilia, Klaus, and Thalia sat alone and locked up in a dark room. They were shaking with fear, and ghosts surrounded them. They were still eight years old at the time. "Please let us out!", Klaus shouted against the door. But no one answered. "Klaus, she's not here!" Cecilia replied in tears. "There are no mirrors here that I could use to teleport us out," Laura sobbed. She already had tears on her face, like the rest.
"There are too many dead ghosts here!" Thalia whimpered fearfully. "Why are you scared too, Thalia? You kill people almost every day, and you're a vampire. So you're also partly dead." Klaus said reproachfully. "But I need it to survive. I can't testify against my family. But when I see it like this, I feel sick, too." Thalia howled.
"You killed some of these people right here. We have to sit here with the ghosts of them now!" said Cecilia angrily. "I didn't think Cora would lock you up here too. Nora doesn't know anything about this place. Cora forced me!" Thalia cried with guilt. "We didn't know that. Why didn't you say anything?" Laura asked, surprised but in tears.
"Aunt Cora lied to me. She said that this was an important lesson in survival. The blood and survival thing is true, but not that I kill innocent people. Nora had always said that I was only allowed to suck the blood of people who didn't follow the timeline as they should. Cora also said that it was an order from Nora and that she knew about it. But Cora was lying. Nora didn't know any of this!" Thalia wailed, full of guilt.
"To be honest, Aunt Cora locked me in here too." Klaus confessed. "Me too." Cecilia agreed with them. "WHAT!" Laura exclaimed in horror. "Why didn't you all tell us?", Laura asked her siblings in horror. "We were never locked up together. We didn't know about each other, either. Aunt Cora lied to us all and threatened us." Cecilia put one and one together. "But why is Aunt Cora coming for you now? That's a mystery to me." wondered Klaus. "That's a really good question." Thalia was still shaking with fear.
Laura took a moment to process all the information. "Maybe there's something the four of us have in common. Something the others don't have." Laura suspected. "The four of us can all see ghosts and talk to them! That must be it!" Cecilia exclaimed. "But I can't see ghosts like you three. I can always hear them, but I can only see them in the mirror or if one of you or someone with the gift of seeing spirits is nearby, I can copy the gift. Aunt Cora only found that out the other day." Laura told me.
"Maybe that's exactly it. But why Aunt Cora locked us in here with ghosts. It still doesn't make sense to me." Klaus thought aloud. "Hey! Either, we keep thinking about why Aunt Cora locked us in here and continue to fear the ghosts. Or we find a way out of here together!" Thalia said out loud.
Everyone turned to Thalia. "Thalia is right, we have to get out of here!" Cecilia agreed with her. "Yes, but how are we going to get out of here? Everything is sealed up and there's nothing that could help us escape. Not even anything that reflects," said Klaus in frustration. Laura began to ponder. But after a while she remembered something. It was a memory that Nora had given her along the way.
... ("You are still so young, Laura. The time will come when you will develop your full strength. But that will only happen if you keep training and firmly believe in yourself. Never forget who you are and never give up. No matter how difficult life may be. You have to know that life is never fair, so you have to fight for it. Believe in yourself and you will achieve a lot. But you will achieve even more with the people who mean something to you. You are strong. You can do it, Laura. Never forget the words I just told you.") Nora said to a still very young Laura ...
Those were exactly the words Nora had once given her. Laura had the mirror power. You could do a lot with it. Jumping through the mirrors was particularly cool. Or the duplication. You can imagine it like this. If you hold two mirrors on top of each other, they multiply to form a tunnel. The mirror power could also be copied by other people with powers so that Laura could take them over. Laura could also jump through time with the mirrors. That was also very cool. I wonder what else she could do?
(But how could her powers be of any use here?) Laura asked herself. (Could that really be all there was to it?) (No!) Laura was just like her other siblings. Only eight years old. So still very young. There must still be something dormant in Laura that might even be able to help them out.
"Guys, I might have an idea, but I'm not sure if it will work," Laura began hesitantly. "Try it out!", said Thalia as if shot from a pistol. "The proof of the pudding is in the eating." agreed Cecilia. "What do we have to lose?" asked Klaus with a sigh. "Okay." Laura breathed in and out a few times. She was nervous.
Laura closed her eyes and tried to concentrate. She went inside herself and blocked out everything around her. Laura tried to concentrate on her mirror power. Something must still be dormant inside her. Laura began to glow in the violet-turquoise light.
"Guys, what's happening to Laura right now?" asked Klaus wonderingly. "I don't know," Cecilia replied in a whisper. "Neither do I," whispered Thalia. All three of them somehow felt the need not to speak out loud. Because they didn't want to interrupt what was happening with Laura. They were afraid that their plan wouldn't work otherwise.
The light around Laura grew bigger and bigger. Laura concentrated on the closed door and what was behind it. Namely, freedom. It became glaringly bright, and in the next moment the light was gone with Laura. "Where has Laura gone?", Klaus asked anxiously.
The spirits had retreated for a moment because of the bright light. But as soon as the light disappeared, the ghosts returned. "I don't know," Thalia replied in a panic. "If Laura made it out, maybe she can get help and..." Cecilia was interrupted. Suddenly there was a rattle on the locked doors. (Who or what was that?) (Not nasty Aunt Cora, please.) hoped the three siblings who had stayed behind.
Suddenly, the light came back on and Laura reappeared. "Where were you?", Cecilia asked, relieved that nothing had happened to Laura. "I managed to teleport out like Aidan. But it worked like a normal mirror jump. I was outside and tried to get the door open, but unfortunately I wasn't successful." Laura replied, out of breath and gasping for air.
"Great, what do we do now?" asked Thalia in frustration. "I have another idea to get out of here." announced Laura. "What kind?" asked Klaus hopefully. "Everyone hold hands. I'm going to get us out of here." Laura spoke bravely.
Laura didn't know if this would work, but it was definitely worth a try. The four siblings joined hands and Laura concentrated on the jump. Laura began to glow again. The glow became a sphere. Then the light sucked in all four siblings. They had made it and they were gone. ... Review end.
Flashback: What happened to Viktor
... Soon a restaurant came into view. Viktor had second thoughts. He couldn't pay after all. "Don't worry, you're our guest today, we'll pay for you," said Cecilia. As if Cecilia had read Viktor's mind. Viktor smiled gratefully. Then the four of them disappeared into the restaurant ...
... When the four of them wanted to enter the restaurant, Viktor was asked to go first. Somehow, Viktor had a strange feeling. (Something wasn't right here.) But Viktor couldn't say exactly what it was. He hesitated when he was the first to walk through the doorway. But then Klaus Soraya took the first step and walked through. Nothing happened. Then Viktor went through next. Nothing happened either. Viktor breathed a sigh of relief. Next came Melody and finally Cecilia. It was a nice little restaurant. The four of them looked for a table together.
"What would you like to order?", Melody asked very kindly. "Hmmm. Maybe..." mused Viktor and looked at the menu. "Jaaaa?", Klaus asked impatiently. "Klaus, behave yourself! We know you like to play the circus clown from time to time, but not now! We're in a restaurant!" Cecilia hissed at Klaus. "Sorry," Klaus whispered back. "Okay, so where were we?", Cecilia asked the group again. "At the orders," Melody replied. "Oh yes, that's right. So who's ordering what?" asked Cecilia.
"Well, I'll have spaghetti and apple juice," replied Melody. "I'll have a burrito and orange juice," said Klaus. "I think I'll order pancakes and plain water," said Cecilia. "What are you having, Viktor?", Melody asked again. "How about pizza and a glass of wine?", Viktor asked uncertainly. "Of course. We can do that. We'll pay you," said Cecilia. "Thank you." Viktor thanked her.
Then the waiter came to their table. "What can I get you?", the waiter asked the four of them. "So one spaghetti and apple juice for her. Then a burrito and orange juice for him. Pancakes and sparkling water for me and pizza and a wine for him." Cecilia ordered and pointed to everyone who had ordered what. The waiter wrote it down. "Okay, I'll pass it on," said the waiter and walked on.
After a while, the waiter returned with the orders. "Your order, please." announced the waiter. "Thank you." Melody thanked him on behalf of all four of them. The waiter left again, leaving the four of them alone with their food.
After a while, Klaus began to get restless. "What's wrong, Klaus?", Melody asked Klaus. "I just have to go to the loo," replied Klaus. "Then just go," grumbled Cecilia, annoyed. "Yes, but don't you sometimes wonder how urgently you really need to go to the loo? That you think back and forth?" Klaus continued. "Not at dinner, Klaus!" Cecilia tried to set him straight.
Viktor overheard the conversation, of course, and thought about Klaus' question. The longer he thought about it, the more he felt the urge to go to the loo. "Em, guys, I'll be right back. I really have to go to the restroom too." Viktor apologized and got up from the table. "I'm coming with you!" said Klaus and followed Viktor to the toilet. Cecilia and Melody looked at each other, grinning. "Perfect acting. Let's get started." Cecilia whispered to Melody. Melody nodded affirmatively.
When Klaus and Viktor came back. Cecilia and Melody had already finished their meal. "Boys, Melody's going to pay, and I'm going to the loo again. See you in a minute." Cecilia announced. Viktor thought nothing of it. He sat back down at the table with Klaus Soraya.
But after a few more bites, Viktor suddenly felt dizzy and somehow sleepy. He wanted to fall asleep, he felt so tired. (But where did the tiredness suddenly come from?) Viktor could no longer think clearly. Before he knew it, Viktor's face fell over, and he landed in his half-eaten pizza. Klaus started to chuckle as it looked a bit funny. Viktor's eyes went black ... Review over.
