Y/N's mom

"You don't need to be ashamed, Y/N," Y/N's mom cooed to me as we drove back to the house in her fancy car, "Everybody has done something wrong in their life."

"Besides," She added with a little grin my way, "the police are easily bribed." I gave her a tight smile in response, awkward at how blasé she was about the situation. My mother would have probably tried to press charges against me for being a disappointment.

The rich, however, had no consequences for their actions.

"So," Y/N's mom tried to casually redirect the conversation from literal crime, "How is Jackson?"

I forgot that she was the only character that hadn't been in the loop of what had happened since going to see Jackson.

I looked out the window at the blur of passing buildings, "We're... um... not together anymore," I told her, hoping it wouldn't fuck up the story more if I did so, "He cheated on me." I hoped she was prepared for the surprise. Jackson and Y/N had been together for years, after all.

Y/N's mother quickly whipped toward me with a pitiful expression, "Oh my gosh, Y/N, I'm so sorry!" She responded genuinely. This woman had a hell lot of sympathy to spread over her daughter, that was for sure.

My mother would have said something else upon the lines of, "What? You want me to cry for you or something? Men are like snakes. Plenty of them in the world and they will all bite you. And they give you children too. Children are fucking stupid. That's why you should have a dog instead, Hija." But then again, she was a single mother, so her response would be a little bias.

"It's fine; he was a stupid fuck anyway." I brushed the conversation off quickly, looking out the window and wondering when Yoongi was going to pop out of the blue and tell me I was idiotic for telling Y/N's mother what had happened. He was easy to miss; despite the fact the only thing he ever did to me was berate me.

He really was a cat.

At least I got to four wheel drive! Take that you fucking mint head!

"Oh dear," Y/N's mom hummed, still not over the conversation, "You'll find someone better. Taehyung's far better than Jackson was. Far richer too-"

At the unexpected sound of Taehyung's name from her lips, I looked straight at the woman, my shock written in black and white upon my face.

"How do you know about Taehyung?"

The question seemed to surprise her, as if she was wondering herself how she knew about Taehyung.

Or why she was speaking about him.

"Oh," She tried to excuse in a clutter of stammering, "I just...um...I just heard his name on the news."

"You're shipping me with someone you heard about from the news?" I scoffed, growing suspicious of the woman, "Sounds fake." I looked over at her sceptically, and she tensed up. She looked almost angry.

"I must have got his name mixed up with someone else." She laughed nervously, placing a feathery hand upon my arm. A while ago I would have happily taken the affection, but now it felt like she was wordlessly threatening me.

She was being extra sus.... like an 'among us' character.

I ignored her pathetic excuse and swiped her hand away from my arm, trying to piece together how she could know about the mafia overlord.

I was confused...so confused. Y/N's mother never knew anything about Taehyung in the original story. In fact, she didn't know anything at all. She was the background character that only existed so she could wake Y/N up in the first chapter.

So was the sudden knowledge another consequence of my presence in the story? And why was she trying to hide the fact that she knew about him?

We pulled up at the gates of Y/N's parent's mansion – something that I hadn't seen since the first chapter sequence. It was almost nostalgic. I watched them roll away and we drove through the driveway in an awkward silence that was filled with the crunching of gravel beneath the car wheels.

Y/N's mom brought the car to an abrupt halt out the front of the stairwell and turned to me with a smile, "Welcome home, darling."

My eyebrow rose as I turned to open the door, "Thanks."

To my dismay, it wouldn't budge. I pulled the handle again, but it seemed to be locked.

Confused, I turned back to Y/N's mother, and almost immediately, my sight of her was blinded by a large cloth over my mouth.

Even more disorientated than I was before, I began to kick and punch and scream the rag away, but to no avail. It was pushed roughly against my face by the usually gentle woman. As I slowly found myself slipping into temporary slumber, I realised why she was talking about Taehyung. It was one of those mafia stories.

My – or rather, Y/N's mother, had sold me to Taehyung without my consent and without interference of the law.

There probably wasn't even a law against the marketing of children in this universe.

When I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room and blinded by a large and very bright light placed in front of my face. I was sitting on a plastic garden chair with my wrists and ankles zip tied to the legs and arm rests of the chair.

It was giving Deja-vu, honestly.

Yet another person who was kidnapping me for no reason whatsoever.

When I got back to real life I was going to be the pro of getting kidnapped.

The older woman's face came into view and her teeth, which were inhumanly white, shone in a creepy grin as she titled her head to look at me. The once gentle features had become shrivelled on her face and looked like something straight out of a horror movie. I took back anything nice I had ever said about her.

I was sure that if Pennywise had have been in the room, he would have run away, crying like a little kid.

That's how bad she looked.

She was like the other mother from Coraline, in all honesty.

"Oh, hello, Y/N dear." She cooed in her sickeningly sweet voice as she made her way to my side. Her thin fingers brushed my hair out of my face in an eerie way.

"Oh, hey mom." I muttered out, still a little woozy from whatever she had put into the rag, "Thanks for selling me."

There was a brief look of surprise that crossed her face before it resumed it's default creepy expression. "So, you finally figured it out, huh?" She chuckled to herself, "You were always a little dense, Y/N."

I'm going to take that as an insult to Y/N and not myself.

She stepped behind my chair with her hands placed behind her back, "Your father and I were in a little bit of bankruptcy, and Taehyung gave us the perfect proposition." Her heels drummed against the cement floor as she made her way to my other side.

"That's great and all, but did you ever consider selling my car instead? Like, you could have made a decent profit on that," I suggested casually as she frowned darkly, "Or your house, maybe? Maybe the reason you're so bankrupt is because 90% of your income is going into building your own personal Buckingham palace and not enough is going into your bills."

I shot her a toothy smile, "It's just a thought."

"Excuse me?" She ground out lowly.

"You're excused."

"What?" She scowled in confusion at my response, before shaking her mind clear again, "I've brought you here for a reason, Y/N."

I hmmed, "Mother and daughter time?"

"No, Y/N," She hissed in annoyance, reaching forward as if she wanted to crush me between her fingers, "I've brought you here to give back to Taehyung."

"Could you not just drop me off by his house?" I scoffed, "Ya know, I know where it is, I could show you-"

An abrupt slam of a door drew my attention away from the woman in front of me, and we both turned to see two tall figures approach the light through the darkness.

"Y/N." The dark voice of one spoke.

Great.

A/N:

Yes, finally, another update! A little bit shitty in the writing department, but its as good as you're gonna get lmaoooo

And I will continue to update as I have the rest of the story planned out, and let me tell you, its pretty hectic.

Idk if anyone was complaining to Wattpad or smth but I got a literal message from them saying that I hadn't updated this 💀💀💀 and that I should update because people hate it when a story is never updated.

So here yall go,

Also, if ya'll didn't know I edited all previous chapters a bit just so the story flowed a little better.

Anyway, did anyone expect that Y/N's mother would be like this? lol
