Grand Multiverse Space

Outside of the Land of Light, Ultraman Zero halts in midair as he looks around, finding himself floating in the middle of a large space filled with gigantic spheres of universes. Ultraman Zero looks at the diamond shaped synchronizer, watching as a small slender beam emits from the device, transmitting back to a large sphere as he remembers his father's words.

Ultraman Zero looks at the device, watching as dark minus energy emits from the device, transmitting towards a nearby universe." It must be that one." Ultraman Zero launches himself up, flying towards the very source of the energy.

However, as he enters the universal atmosphere, the device began glowing brightly before going off in a small explosion, startling Ultraman Zero. Ultraman Zero stares at his now empty hand as he looks around the dark star-filled void, questioning himself," Is this another universe?"

As Ultraman Zero contemplates the identity of his new location, far away, a large Legionoid ship fleet flies past the Milky Way, towards the Planet Annu.

Planet Annu

On the Planet Annu, people screams in terror as squadrons of Legionoids rises from the ground, opening fire at the village below.

As the Legionoids continues their attack, a woman hid under a large tent, frantically screaming into a walkie talkie in distress," This is the Planet Annu! We are under attack by Legionoids! The exploitation caravans won't work any longer!"

" All of you! Get out of here!" An old lady shouts at the Legionoids as a young man tries to pull her away, frantically screaming," It's dangerous! Let's get out of here!"

Just as a Legionoid raises up it's feet, ready to squash the innocent bystanders with it's foot, right at that moment, a small speeder flies past the Legionoid, firing barrages of lasers on it's headpiece.

The Legionoid looks at the speeder before shifting it's entire body, narrowingly missing the couple before going after the vehicle in hot pursuit.

As the speeder continues flying, it's turrents fires continuous rounds of lasers as it swerves left and right, dodging the Legionoid's lasers in the process.

Inside the speeder, Ran, a tall young man cladded in baggy desert clothing looks back from his turret, shouting at his younger brother," It's catching up with us Nao!" Nao, a short young boy cladded in identical clothing as his older brother assures him," That's all part of my plan!"

Nao then steps onto the pedal, accelerating the vehicle right through a cliff, causing both the speeder and the Legionoid to fall into a large volcanic crater." We're going down!" Nao screams out, causing Ran to question in distress," Are you serious?!"

The speeder shifts itself upwards, flying over the blazing hot lava just as the Legionoid crashes into the flaming liquid with a loud splash. The speeder then shifts itself up, flying up onto a nearby cliff before halting right in front of a large boulder.

Both Nao and Ran dashes out of the speeder, their face brightens as they stare at the Legionoid in the bottom of the volcano." We did it!"" We did!" Both Run and Nao laughs as the two brothers smacks each other's hands in a form of a hi-five.

However, their moment of triumph was interrupted by a large rumbling sound, causing the two brothers to look around in shock and confusion. And at that moment, a large drill-like aspandage crashes through the rocks, sending both Ran and Nao flying into the air.

" Ran!" Nao screams out just as the two brothers crashes onto the rocky hard ground roughly, rolling across the floor just as the speeder falls over the cliff, crashing into the volcanic lava below just as Ran lands body first on the edge of the cliff, holding up his younger brother.

" Ran!" Nao screams out in fear as he looks over his shoulder, a cold chill running through his back as he stares down at the lava below him.

Ran grunts out in agony, the injury he sustained along with the weight of his younger brother opened his wound, causing blood to run down his arm. Nao notices the crimson liquid flowing from his brother's wound and he exclaims," You're bleeding!" Although wounded, Ran grits his teeth as he struggles to pull Nao up, assuring him," Don't worry about me! I'm going to pull you up!"

As Ran tries again in another attempt to pull his brother, right at that moment, the amulet on dangling around his neck emits a bright glow, sending a signal deep into space.

Space

As the signal light flashes in the cold void of space, Ultraman Zero looks up and it suddenly dawns on him." Someone is calling me!"

Ultraman Zero accelerates his speed as he sings out.

Planet Annu

Down on the planet, the Legionoid turns it's head, looking down at the two brothers, lifting up it's drill-like arm before activating it, thrusting it towards the path of the brothers.

The sheer impact of the blow causing the cliff to go off in an explosion of rocks and rubble, sending both Ran and Nao flying into the air.

" Ran!" Nao screams out as the two brothers held onto each other tightly, tumbling down into the lava below. As the two closes in onto the lava, Ran hugs his brother and he calls out in a begging tone," Somebody help!"

At that exact moment, loud cheery music began playing as something bright swoops down from the sky, catching the brothers right on the nick of time.

The figure then gently places both Ran and Nao onto the ground, causing Ran to turn his head to look at his mysterious saviour. Nao lifts his head as he and his brother watches the figure points a hand at the Legionoid, a bright blast of energy emits from his hand, striking into the robot.

As the Legionoid goes off in a massive explosion, both brothers jumps back, startled by the attack before looking up, finding themselves staring face to face at a large yellow eyed figure with two sharp aspandage on his head.

Mistakening him for a Darclops, Nao pulls out his blaster, pointing it at Ultraman Zero just as Ran grabs onto him, stopping his brother from pulling the trigger," Nao! He's the one who saved us! He's not a Darclops!"

However, the strain of the impact of the blow causes Ran to grunt out in agony, falling back first onto the ground just as Nao kneels next to his brother. Realizing that time is running out, Ran roughly tugs the amulet out of his next, placing it into his younger brother's hand.

Refusing to believe the reality of the situation, Nao shouts at him angrily," Stop acting like that!"" This...is our last hope..." Ran whispers with his last dying breath as he looks up at his brother," You...you must find it!"

" What are you talking about?!" Nao questions out," We'll find it together!" Completely exhausted of his energy, Ran lies back onto the floor, straining in agony just as Ultraman Zero raises up his hand, only to find his chest beeping.

Horrified, Ultraman Zero thought," How can this be? I'm already out of energy." Ultraman Zero grunts out as he drops knee first onto the ground, panting as he contemplates his situation. Unlike the infinite solar energy from his homeworld, Planet Annu's sun rays emits a far different form of solar energy, which Ultraman Zero unfortunately is unable to absorb.

Realizing the situation both of them are in, Ultraman Zero listens just as Ran asks," Please take care of my brother." Ultraman Zero places a hand to his chest before shifting it back at Ran, swearing his vow.

Ran nods at Ultraman Zero, turning his head as his eyes closes, whispering out as the last of his lifeforce leaves his body," Believe in him."' Brother!" Nao screams out just as Ultraman Zero's entire body glows a flash of bright light, shining a powerful beam down onto Ran's lifeless body.

Nao moves back, shielding his eyes from the blinding lights as Ran's entire body glows brightly, causing Ultraman Zero's body to disappear, merging right into the body of Ran.

" Brother! Brother!" Ran's eyes snaps open as he looks up, finding himself staring at the tear-stained face of Nao." Brother!" Relieved, Nao cries out as he hugged his brother tightly, or so he thought was his brother." I'm so glad! Something was shining so brightly I couldn't see anything. That giant from earlier did something to you, didn't he?"

Ultraman Zero looks at his newly merged body, finding the synchronizer attached on his wrist, before looking up, watching just as three Legionoids crashes feet first a few feet away from them.

" Legionoids!" Nao shouts just as Zero faces the three. Knowing he is unable to fight in his current form, Zero turns to Nao and he urges the boy," Let's hide." Nao nods and the two dashes towards a nearby cave, ducking into the safety of the crevices.

Cave

Inside the cave, Nao dug through the rocks before declaring out," Found it!" Nao then pulls out blaster, firing a small streamline beam at a crystal, causing it to emit a bright glow of green light.

Nao then picks up the glowing crystal and he holds it up to Zero, asking," Will this do Ran?" Zero looks back, showing his brother his glowing synchronizer before leading his companion into a crevice, listening as Nao remarks," I wonder if everyone was able to get away? What do you think brother?"

Realizing that what he must do, Zero then began unfolding the truth to his companion," Hey Nao."" Hm?"" I am your brother, but at the same time, I am not."" What?!"" I am Ultraman Zero, an Ultra Warrior from the Land of Light."" Ultraman Zero?"" Yeah. Remember that giant from earlier? That was me."

As Zero continues leading Neo up through the crevice, Nao questions," So what happened to by brother, Ran?" Zero looks back and he answers," He is resting inside of me." Confused, Nao questions again," Did Ran die?!" Zero stares at him silently before walking up to him, kneeling down to face Nao before answering him in an assuring tone," Don't worry, he is still alive. We are two people in one body."" Two people in one body?"" Yeah," Zero nods," I wanted to save him because of how selfless your brother is in protecting you. Your brother will come back when the time comes. I will protect you, I promised your brother. Trust me."

Nao did not say a word, he just moves past him, standing there silently before turning back, putting out a hand and he smiles," I believe you, because Ran believed in you." Zero smiles and he grabs onto Nao's hand, acknowledging his companion. He will do everything in his power to fulfill his promise and keep Nao safe.

Right at that moment, a bright light glows from Nao's amulet, causing both of them to look at the amulet." Oh! This is the first time it happened." Nao said." What's that?" Zero questions." It's the key to the Shield of Baradhi." Nao answers." Shield of Baradhi?" Zero asks.

" It's what Ran and I are looking for." Nao nods." So that's how it is." Zero says, finally understanding what Nao and Ran were talking about." The Shield of Baradhi protects the universe. It's a legend of our home planet." Nao explains to Zero.

Nao looks down and he says," That's why this should protect me...from that scary Emperor, Kaiser Belial."" Kaiser...Belial?!' Zero questions, horrified at the name. He remembered defeating the rogue Ultra a few days back and now, he has returned.

Knowing that there is no time to waste, Zero and Nao continues walking before stopping in front of a giant crystalline wall." What's that?" Zero asks." It's an emerald like this one. We extract energy from these minerals to convert into power." Nao answers.

Zero takes a step forward, placing a hand on emerald and he said," I see...so this is what powered those Darclopes." Nao looks up at the wall and he remarks," Big ones like these are very rare!" As the two continues staring at the emerald, suddenly the ceiling caved in right from above, causing both Zero and Nao to scream out in terror.

" They found us!" As a Legionoid peers it's head through the ceiling, suddenly, the ground below Zero and Nao began glowing, causing the two to look down.

" What the?" Right at that moment, the ground caved in, sending both Nao and Zero tumbling through the floor.

Massive explosions booms across the radius, sending the Legionoids stumbling back.

As the Legionoids pushes themselves up, a large avian-like machine rose from the ground, flying up into the air and putting itself at a safe distance away from the Legionoids.

Inside the ship

In the ship's hangar, both Zero and Nao stares down from the window, questioning out," What is it?" Nao looks around before answering," It's a space ship!" Nao and Zero watches just as the ship takes off into the sky, flying out of Planet Annu in what looks light the speed of sound.

As the ship leaves the planet, both Zero and Nao steps into through the door, walking into the bridge of the ship. And there sat a tall feminine figure on the chair of the ship.

Princess Emerana pants in fear as Zero questions," Are you the one who saved us?" The princess didn't answer, prompting Nao to introduce himself," I'm Nao, and this is my brother Zero. Thank you." Again, the princess didn't say a thing.

Now completely full of curiosity, both Zero and Nao approaches the Princess, only to be stopped by a surge of electrical energy.

Several energy rings shot out of the shield, restraining both Nao and Zero onto the wall just as a loud mechanical voice echoes from the ship's radio," Commencing memory wiping process." A blast of red energy shot right onto both Zero and Nao, causing the two to scream out in agony as they felt like what feels like a burst of fire searing through their minds.

As their screams echoes throughout the bridge, Princess Emerana winces, unable to take the sound of their agonizing screams before commanding," Stop it Jean-Bird!"" But..." Jean-Bird protests, only for the Princess to insist," That's an order! Let them go!"

Jean-Bird then deactivates the beam, causing both Nao and Zero to drop down onto the floor." Are you okay?" Princess Emerana questions in concern, only for Zero to push her away, holding onto Nao.

Overwhelmed in guilt, Princess Emerana dropped down onto her knees, apologizing purposely," Forgive me. We have done a terrible deed."" We agreed we won't kill anyone." Jean-Bird says, But wipe their memories and leave them at some planet nearby. If anything were to happen to you now..."

" I know, but..." Princess Emerana said just as Zero questions her with hints of hostility in his voice," Who the hell are you?!"" Some weird voice has been calling you Princess?" Nao adds.

Outraged, Jean-Bird shouts at the two," Insolence! I am a Steel Warrior used by many generations of the Esmerald royal family! My name is Jean-Bird!"

Ignoring the voice, Nao steps towards the Princess, continuing," That means you are the Princess of Esmerald?"" Listen until I am done talking!" Jean-Bird shouts, annoyed at being ignored," Before you stands the second daughter of the Esmerald royal family, her highness Emerana Luludo."

Princess Emerana looks down, quietly saying," My planet was attacked by Kaiser Belial too. I alone was transferred onto Jean-Bird. I've been hiding since..." Realization dawns on Nao as he concludes," You're all alone?"

Emerana solemnly nods as she sings out.

As the Princess finishes her verse, Zero looks down, his eyes filled with sympathy just as Nao rushes to her side, offering," Why don't we become friends then?"" Friends?" Princess Emerana looks up, shifting her head back to face Nao. Nao offers her a hand, saying to her," Then you won't be alone anymore."

" Do you...want to be friends with me?" Princess Emerana questions hesitantly, prompting Nao to nod," Of course!" Princess Emerana held Nao's hand just as Zero smiles at her." You too."" Yeah." Zero places his hand over the two, causing the amulet around Nao's neck to glow brightly.

" It shined again." Nao remarks, causing Zero to look away. The computer screen then activates, showing Zero footages of Belial and his army storming through the ruined city of Esmeralda. Zero narrows his eyes, growling," It's no doubt, it's Belial alright."

Nao notices the burning inferno behind the army and he questions," Is Esmeralda burning?"" Yes," Princess Emerana agrees," The planet Esmeralda is made out of emerald mineral alloy. Kaiser Belial stole that energy to create a big army."

" Belial's imperial army is bringing carnage to the universe and plunders everything they set their sights on." Jean-Bird explains further.

Unable to tolerate the injustice any further, Zero then questions," Where is Belial? I'll go and defeat him!" Zero storms off, attempting to pry the door open as Jean-Bird explains," We do not know of his whereabouts."" Who are you Zero?" Princess Emerana questions, causing Zero to raise up his head, answering her question grimly," Belial came from the same universe as I do, we come from the same clan. This body's belongs to Nao's brother. My true form, is an Ultra warrior from the Land of Light."

" Ultra warrior?" Princess Emerana questions. Nao then points out," Ran, we need to look for the Shield of Baradhi. Don't say you're going to fight them all by yourself." Zero looks down, pondering the boy's words as he continues," Belial is not the only enemy. He has a huge army of minions. Look at the monitor and you'll understand!"

" Nao..."" The Shield of Baradhi," Both Zero and Nao turns to look at Emerana as she finishes her question," That was the legend you were talking about earlier?" Both Zero and Nao nods, only for Jean-Bird to question their intentions," Can you really protect the universe with something you know nothing about? Can you defeat Belial with it?"

" Yes! We can! My father said so!" Nao states only for Jean-Bird to insist," But you have no proof."" It's not a lie!" Nao argues. Zero steps up and he said," I believe Nao." He places both hands onto Nao's shoulder and he said," Let's go look for the Shield of Baradhi."" Yeah."

Princess Emerana steps towards them and she volunteers," I shall join you."" I cannot agree," Jean-Bird objects," It's my job to protect you Princess."" Please," Princess Emerana pleads to Jean-Bird," I want to help my friends."

The trio looks just as Jean-Bird activates it's accelerator, moving faster into the depths of space.

Princess Emerana smiles and she thanked Jean-Bird," Thank you Jean-Bird."" I had no choice." Jean-Bird shrugs as Nao remarks out happily," This is great."" But how will we find it?" Zero questions. Nao looks out and he answers," The Pirates of Flames should know it."

" Then let's go there. But not without a song! Hit it!" Zero instructs, prompting Jean-Bird to play out a melodious tune.
