Summary:

Spider-Man accepts Nick Fury's offer to train with S.H.I.E.L.D., and is put together with four other teenage superheroes: Nova (Sam Alexander), White Tiger (Ava Ayala), Luke Cage (Power Man) and Iron Fist (Danny Rand). Doctor Octopus sends the Frightful Four after Spider-Man again, and while Spider-Man doesn't initially get on with his new teammates, he has to learn to work alongside them to defeat the Frightful Four.

A beautiful sunset covered New York. It was the perfect time to snuggle up with your boyfriend and watch cheesy movies or going on a romantic date and making out under the sunset. Unfortunately, Sam Alexander- or Nova- could do neither of those things as Fury was hell bent on seeing what his boyfriend could do. Speaking of Nova's boyfriend, the poor spider was up against an army of S.H.I.E.L.D. robots, with said super spy watching him and laughing.

"He's not gonna make it," Ava Ayala said, frowning at the picture through her tiger mask. Sam imdently jumped (Not Literally of course!) to protect his boyfriend.

"Hey!" the hero protested. Ava scoffed. "Of course he can do it, he's your boyfriend after all," the tiger said sarcastically. Nova glared at her, which she returned.

"I think he can do it," Luke said and Danny nodded in agreement. "Oh look, he's done."

Sam looked up to find the room empty and a nearby door sliding open, revealing a grinning Spider-Man. Nova smiled at him softly, which earned him a hard shove in the shoulder. The hero then promptly glared at a snickering Ava.

"So, how'd I do?" Peter said, turning to Fury. Fury nodded and then smirked, which worried Iron Fist, Power Man, and -of course- Nova.

Ava smiled and tried to contain her laugh, and nearly failed. Fury then pressed a button and a trap door opened under Spidey, making him fall through the floor. The three boy's eyes widened and Ava snickered. Nova was about to fly after his -hopefully- not dead boyfriend when Fury spoke.

"Parachute test," was all the super spy said before opening a link with Spidey and telling him the same two words. Then, a video feed opened up just as Spidey used a web parachute to save his own life. Though it went unnoticed by the team and Fury, Sam silently thanked his boyfriend's quick thinking.

Place: Peter Parker's house

Time: 22:30

Peter yawned as he flopped onto the bed after a grueling day of training. Sam walked in and laughed.

"How do you deal with him?" Peter moaned, rubbing his- yes- still sore back from when the Trapster hit him against the wall. Sam frowned and gestured to Peter's shirt, silently telling him to take it off so he could see the bruise.

"Wow," Sam said, tracing the now yellow bruise which was beginning to blister. Then, Sam kissed the bruise and sighed. "You get used to it."

Peter winced as Sam ran his fingers over the bruise. Sam's frown deepened at that. He got up and headed down the stairs to get an ice pack.

*Ow, God that hurts! And now it's blistering... HOW AWESOME IS THAT? Yeah, I know, its horrible. Ow, ow, ow.*

Sam walked back into the room and sighed, seeing Peter had fallen asleep right then and there. Then, Nova just walked over and put the ice on the horrid looking bruise and kissed the spider's head. This was gonna be a long night.

Place: Harry Osborn's Hospital room

Time: 9:30

"Thanks, Pete," Harry said as said teen handed him his homework. His head was wrapped and it still hurt, but not as much as before.

Peter shrugged and sat down, smiling.

"What're friends for?" Was the spider's reply. Harry laughed.

Place: Midtown High

Time: 7:01

The next day at Midtown, Peter walks down the hall and stops, seeing that Mary Jane is gluing posters on the walls asking Spider-Man for an interview.

"MJ, what are you doing?" He asked. MJ smiled. "Spidey could be anybody."

Peter looked at her with a weird look. "You're really obsessed with Spidey."

MJ snorted. "I'm no Flash Thompson," she said, making them both laugh at that idea.

*Mj is one of the only people that can make me laugh, well besides Sam- obviously*

Place: S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

Time: 16:45

Spider-Man walked behind Nick Fury, rubbing his sore back. Fury offered to give him a full tour since said super spy didn't want to leave Nova and Spidey alone.

*Wow, SAM was right. This place is HUGE! Speaking of Sam, I wonder where the little bucket-head is...*

Fury leads the web hero into a room, a orange-haired person working at a desk.

"Spider-Man, meet Doctor Curt Connors," the super spy says, making Peter jump. Spider-Man smiles under his mask and gads out his right hand, but instantly regretted it as he just now notice that the man only had one arm.

"Ah... Where-?" The spider started, but stopped because he didn't want to insult the man. Said man laughed merrily and- to Peter's surprise- pulled his hand out of his sleeve.

"Doctor Connors," he said, shaking Peter's out stretched hand. Peter, having finally gotten over his shock smiled and shook the doctor's hand.

The resident scientist then began to show Spider-Man some technology based on his powers. There were some that were really cool to the little spider as he had only made web-shooters based on his powers, not whole items.

Something caught Peter's attention. He walked over and was about to pull it off. Coulson stops him.

"I don't think Spider-Man being in S.H.I.E.L.D. is a good thing," the spy said, making Fury smile.

"Spider-Man is here to learn about being responsible." Was all the super spy replied to the statement, but Peter could understand that Nick was giving him permission to reveal the mysterious object.

The thing under the cover is a special motorcycle. Spider-Man frowns, automatically thinking it's useless. "Fury, I don't really need a motorcycle to get places."

Spider-Man holds up his web shooters to prove his point.

Fury just laughs and says, "Try it out first then tell me you don't need it."

*Of course, when I turns it on, I instantly loses control of it and ends up falling out of the Helicarrier, just like that. Ain't that great guys? (PLEASE NOTE SARCASM) Guess I have to try and control this crazy thing now.

Spider-Man looks at the motorcycle and is instantly distracted.

Hmm, so many buttons...OOO! SHINY!*

Via communicator, Fury calls Spider-Man telling to, "Push the big red button to activate the web-shooters." After saving his life, Spider-Man tests the cycle around New York. As he goes through a tunnel, he thinks to himself. Wow, this is sorta fun.

Well, just as Spider-Man thought that, he nearly crashed crash against a gasoline truck. It just so happened that Nova was flying around the city, looking for the spider.

Sam sighed as he couldn't find the spider. Then, he almost had a heart attack when he looked down. Nova flew down to save him when Peter just flipped the motorcycle over the truck and lands the cycle perfectly.

Sam flew over and glared at his boyfriend.

"Oh, hey Sam." Peter said, which only ticked off said person. "That-That... You- you just-" the hero stumbled. Peter laughed. "I just jumped over a truck? Yep, also, it was fun!"

Sam stared at the hero with horror. Then, he heard laughing behind him. He turned around and glared at them. Peter looked just plain confused.

"We're your new team," Ava said simply. Peter looked at her.

"What do you mean new team?" He asked cautiously.

"It means you're on our team now web head," Luke said. Peter looked at them, then at Sam, who was looking a bit guilty.

Peter muttered something under his breath then got on his motorcycle and left.

"Well, he took that horribly," Sam stated.

"No dip, Sherlock," Ava countered.

Place: S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

Time: 17:15

After learning they are also part of S.H.I.E.L.D., Spider-Man discusses with Agent Coulson at the HQ why he didn't want to be in the team.

"Don't get me wrong, I love Nova and all, but I didn't sign up to be on a team. I signed up to go solo," Spider-Man insisted in expasteration. Fury still didn't say anything. Peter sighed and turned around.

"Fine, if you won't listen to me, then I quit," Spider-Man said and swung away from the helicarrier.

Peter landed on a nearby building and sighed, putting his head into his hands.

*Did I just quit S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Spider-man sighed and looked at the sky

(Angel: Yes, you did. You'll probably break poor Sam's heart!)

What? Spider-Man looked over to the Angel version of him on his shoulder. The devil on his other shoulder snorted.

(Devil: No it won't!)

I wasn't thinking this through, was I? Spider-Man sighed and put his head into his hands again.

(Angel: Oh, you might want pay attention to the world around you now.)

Why?

(Devil: Because the Frightful Four are going to whip your ass pretty bad.)

Huh?*

Spider-Man got knocked out off his inner conflict when Thundra threw him into a building. Spidey groaned and tried to get up, but Thundra grabbed him again and threw him into the air, only for Spider-Man to be hit by Klaw's sonic waves.

"Heh, we're gonna squash you like bug," Klaw commented as the spider fell to the ground. Wizard throws one of his discs, which landed on Spidey's back.

The three villains watched as Spider-Man floated there limply.

"Well, that was easier than I thought!" Thundra said, laughing. Wizard smiled wickedly.

"Yes, our client will be pleased," Wizard said.

Just as the villains began to congratulate themselves for bringing down Spider-Man quickly, said vigilate shot a web which pinned Wizard to the nearby wall.

Thundra went to attack him, but she was blow back by a blue ray, courtesy of the human rocket, Nova.

"Hey, babe," Nova said, a smug smile adorning his face. Peter snorted and shot a web in Thundra's face and then dropped down and swept his feet to connect with hers, making said villain fall.

In no time, White Tiger, Power Man, and Iron Fist appear and help Spidey take down the villain without a problem.

Place: S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier

Time: 17:55

"Alright, Fury, I re-accept your offer AND work with the team, but only one condition; I get to be a solo hero most of the time.," Spider-MAn told Nick Fury, his chin jutted out.

"Very well, Parker. Welcome back to S.H.I.E.L.D.," Nick Fury said.

•Change In Location• The Next Day•

Place: Midtown High

Time: 8:03

Peter Parker took out a few books out his locker when he heard Flash coming towards him.

"Yo, Parker, locker nocker time!" Flash said. Just as Peter was about to be pushed into the locker next to his, someone pulled him out of Flash's way.

Peter looks up to see Sam winking at him just as a stranger pushes Flash into the locker Peter was supposed to go in.

The guy that pushed Flash into the locked walked up to him and Sam.

"I'm Luke Cage, that's Ava Ayala," He said, pointing to the girl behind him. "And that's Danny Rand," Luke pointed to a boy with long blonde hair.

*Wait a minute, they look familiar... I just can't remember where I met them

(Devil (Sarcasticly): They could be your teammates...)

DUH! They're my teammates from S.H.I.E.L.D.!*

Peter smiled. "Hey, Power Man, White Tiger, and Iron Fist," Peter said. Said three heroes eyes widened and their mouths fell open.

"Damn, Fury told us you were smart, but..." Ava said, trailing off. Peter smiled once more.

"Don't underestimate me, that could be quite dangerous," Peter warned and he took Sam's hand off his waist and turned to his locker and grabbing his books for his next two classes.

"By the way, name's Peter Parker," Spidey said, closing his locked and smiling towards Sam.

"Need a guide to show you around?" he asked. In the background, Ava was gagging. She really didn't like those lovey-dovey moments too much.

"Why not?" Sam answered linking his elbow with Peter's. As soon as they were out of hearing range of the group, Peter spoke.

"So, you go to Midtown High now?" He asked, raising his eyebrows at Sam. Sam smiled nervously.

"Sorry I didn't tell you before, babe," Sam apologised. Peter laughed and pecked Sam's cheek.

"Don't worry 'bout it, No more keeping secrets, okay?" Peter asked. Sam had a smile from ear to ear.

"Deal, babe."
