Gabby's POV

I was in underwater, sinking. I was dazed at first, unclear of what was happening. Then the realization hit me and I panicked. Water went down my throat and into my lungs as I inhaled sharply. I swam as fast as I could to the top. When I reached the surface I breathed deeply, trying to gain air. I saw a beach nearby, so I swam over there. I made it, but the moment I walked on the sandy beach I was turned over.

I was turned a whole 90 degrees, then I felt sand falling on top of me. I looked around to see the ocean was gone, and I was in a giant hour glass. I screamed and banged on the glass, desperate to not be buried. The glass was half way full. I banged harder, crying for help. Now it was almost full. I gave one last punch, and a crack formed. Then the glass shattered.

I collapsed onto the ground and looked around. I was in a pitch black room. I couldn't see anything, not even my own hands. I trembled in the darkness, feeling vulnerable. Then I flinched at a growling sound. "H-Hello?" I said weakly. Suddenly two clawed hands grabbed me from behind and dragged me into the darkness, my screams echoing everywhere.

I jolted up from my bed, panting hard. I was back in my room, with my boyfriend Ulric sleeping soundly next to me. I hugged my knees close, tears welling up in my eyes. I sobbed softly, feeling really frightened. That dream felt so real. And so scary. Tears streamed down my cheeks. I guess Ulric heard me crying cause he groaned, waking up slowly.

Ulric's POV

I wiped my eyes, hearing soft sobbing I think. I turned over to Gabby. "Gabby?(yawn)." I said. My eye sight finally cleared and I saw she was crying. I quickly sat up and looked at her concerned. "Gabby hey, shhh, what's wrong?" I asked. Gabby sniffled  and wiped her tears away. "Ulric...i-its nothing...go back to sleep." Gabby said. She tried to go back under the covers but I placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her.

"Gabby if it was nothing you wouldn't be crying." I stated. I cupped her damp cheek and turned her head so she was facing me. "What wrong?" I asked softly. More tears streamed down her cheeks. "I-I had a n-nightmare...." she said weakly. "Baby...come here." I said softly, pulling her close to my chest. Gabby sobbed softly and I rubbed her back. "Shhh, Gabby its okay." I said softly. Gabby sniffled and buried her face into my chest.

"Do you want to tell me what it was about?" I asked. Gabby let out a soft sob and shook her head. "No? Okay then." I said. Gabby gripped onto my shirt. "I was so scared......" she said weakly. I hushed her and kissed the top of her head. "Shhh, its okay. No matter what, I'll protect you." I said. I hugged her a little tighter and let her cry just a bit more.

Then we pulled back and Gabby looked up at me. I smiled warmly at her and cupped her face, wiping away her tears. "No more crying okay, there's nothing to be afraid of." I said softly. Gabby nodded and wiped her wet eyes. "Listen we should get some sleep." I said. She looked at me with wide eyes. "B-But...I-I don't want to....U-Ulric...." she whimpered. I hushed her softly and smiled. "I'll be right with you." I said. Gabby looked at me unsure but nodded.

We both got under the covers and layed down. Gabby snuggled close to my chest while I wrapped my arms around her. She whimpered a little in fright but I hushed her softly and planted a gentle kiss on her head. "Shhh, relax. Close your eyes and sleep. I'm right here." I said softly. I started to stroke her hair, knowing that always made her fall asleep. Soon Gabby's eyes slowly closed shut and she drifted off to sleep, but not before she muttered "Thank you Ulric."

I smiled and closed my eyes. "Goodnight sweetheart." I said right before I fell asleep.
