Ian walked along the halls, each footstep echoing around the walls where lined jail cells contained sleeping prisoners, though neither of them were comfortable, the blankets were thin layers of sheets that felt like paper, the bed was as solid as metal, literally. He had no pity for them anyway, not one single bit, but he'd never admit the small tug in the back of his mind was telling him he had a tiny like on a certain prisoner. But never showed that and ignored it. He continued on, checking cells that had the worse criminals in it, though he wondered why Sky was there. Why he'd even commit such a crime.
That certain prisoner was still up unfortunately, still thinking about thoughts that kept him confused. Yet he denied it and carried on with the daily routine of a prisoner. He had kept personal things to himself, which led him to the place that he was in now, a Prison. Though he had wondered what his senses were telling him, but he'd admit it. He did feel something whenever the warden was around, not hatred, jealousy or anything like that, just a feeling. The thoughts consisted of 'mates', lovers and even accidentally turning in front of everyone.
His brown pupils stared up at the ceiling, a bored expression plastered on his face from the previous events that happened. His hand was propped up behind his head, supporting him from the pillow; that wasn't really helpful either. The light provided from the window was the moon, it had been a shape of some sort. Its glow highlighted the dust particles softly floating around the place but was only seen when the Moon's light illuminated.
He let out a puff of breath, shifting in his bed slightly as his back faced the door. His half lidded eyes wandered around the place. His ears soon picked up of what sounded like footsteps, they were a bit far away, though he wouldn't blame anyone, it was a prison, and his senses were overdrive.
The footsteps became louder each minute, making him a bit nervous. By then the Footsteps were loud enough that he considered that the warden was walking past his cell, but was instead greeted by silence when the sounds came to a stop. Was there something wrong?
Sky waited another minute again, seeing if the warden would leave or stay, but it became eerie, he hated it. Confidence rose up in his chest, blinking as he stared at the wall in front of his face, hesitating for a moment as his Adam's Apple (I have nothing to say) bobbing in his throat.
He took a breath and spoke.
"Warden Ian, is there anything wrong?"He asked hesitantly, his eyes darting all over the place as he waited for a response.
Ian was a bit suprised from the sudden voice, he looked at the brunette's back, frowning as no movement had been done. Sky's body was in a dark corner, only a bit of his body could be seen.
"Why....aren't you asleep?" He answered calmly, he still kept the aggressive tone.
".....I heard you..."
Ian hesitated a bit to answer, confused on how Sky hearing him kept him from sleeping.
"Heard me? how does that keep you up?"
"...You...You stopped at my cell, it wasn't ordinary."
Ian was shocked, 'Oh so you did hear me..' he thought, furrowing his eyebrows as Sky shifted in his bed, tightly wrapping the thin blanket around his body as Ian felt a bit of pity rise up in his chest.
"That is nothing to whine about, just, shut up." Ian pinched the bridge of his nose, but not really meaning it. He hated akward conversations, the tension even grew between them. A silent 'Okay..' came from Sky as he stiffened, about to walk away, he thought of something else.
"Um, hey, could you sing...?" Ian asked, quirking up his eyebrows as Sky's body turned to look at him, but the main thing that caught his attention is how Sky's eyes glowed, brown, but had a tint of gold that made him stiff. he was so fucking beautiful.
".....Why?"Ian grinned, Sky still oblivious to the warden's expression.
"Because I heard you." The air wasn't as hard as before, it calmed Ian and Adam, The stiffness in Ian had disappeared.
".......Oh, well, yeah, no, I don't know..."
"...I think you sound great."Ian complimented, but remembered his job and stopped smiling.
Confusion and anger rose up in Sky's chest, 'was he playing with me? who does he think he is? ....Oh, that's right, the warden..' he chuckled to himself, making Ian give a skeptical look.
"what's so funny?"
Sky chuckled louder this time, noticing how the warden was becoming playful. Ian hadn't really mind it eaither.
"I don't sing good and...neither do you.."Sky suppressed a smile.
"..........Fuck you."
Sky laughed quietly, enjoying the warden's company as the air became warmer.
"but I don't even sing (a/n:*cough cough*)." Ian chuckled softly with the brunette as he crossed his arms. Standing in a sassy position.
"Yes you do-"
"No I don't-"
"Yes-"
"No-"
"Yeeess-"
"Nahhh-"
".....Maybe..."
Sky snapped his head back to look at Ian, who was cracking up.
---------------------------------------------
They spent the whole night bickering and talking, with a couple of laughs, until Sky fell asleep.
Ian stared at him, smiling softly as he slept, it was 4 AM, So he decided it would be best to sleep, and maybe let the brunette rest for a while. He thanked the funny moments in their conversation, it was the only time he'd be truly happy.
