Elven King.

I've always been a confident ruler, never once second guessing or doubting my abilities to lead not just my people but also guide my seven boys through the many trials and tribulations that life will undoubtedly cast upon them.

I love them dearly, they kept me from falling apart after their mother died and together we provided for our people and created a harmonious kingdom full of opportunity and free from judgment. 
I'm so proud of the men they've become, they've achieved so much at such a young age and for that I will forever be grateful.
It wasn't easy to raise seven boys alone, truth be told there were times my heart almost couldn't cope, I missed their mother desperately and felt as though my love alone wouldn't be enough yet it was and together we pulled through.

I was nervous about today, not for myself but for Seokjin. I've made the journey many times, the portal always deemed me worthy but could the same be said for my eldest? I don't doubt his character, he's just and true but he's never shared Taehyung's passion for the mortal world.

Jin wishes to protect our world, he seeks to discover more about the mortal world to protect our own whereas Taehyung wishes to seek knowledge and protect both worlds. I love Seokjin but always believed Taehyung should be the first to cross through the gateway yet Serenity's premonition showed Jin crossing through the portal, she insisted that he be the one to make the journey and Serenity's visions have never been wrong before which is the very reason she's been my enchantress for all these years.

Yet something didn't feel right, my heart refused to slow and my mind was full of doubts and concerns for the first time in years. Perhaps paying Serenity a visit would calm me, at least she could help put my mind at ease.

I dismissed my personal guard, Serenity was a sensitive individual who wasn't accustomed to the company of anyone but myself.

"Send for my eldest, make sure he waits for me in my private quarters. I shouldn't be long, a few minutes at most."

"Yes my lord."

I waited for him to leave before accessing the secret panel behind my desk, down three flights of stairs was my destination.

I just needed her to tell me this was the right choice, I was sending the right person....wasn't I?
