-umbra is a ghoul and his kagune type is ukaku and looks like black bat wings. his mask looks like a jungle cat and the ccg assigned him the name "black cat". he blends perfectly into human society.

-victor is a child ghoul that umbra found on the streets. his kagune is rinkaku and takes the form of blue and black claw-like things. afraid of humans, umbra hunts for him

-aunora is also a ghoul, and she has koukaku kagune. looks like big bulky purple scale armor. by far the least civilized ghoul, tends to eat more than needed

-esper is a ghoul that once incredibly predatory (he has a thin, sharp tail bikaku kagune) but has now turned himself into the ccg. begrudgingly, the ccg allowed him to live and hunt ghouls.

-matthew is a highly respected member of the ccg and a top notch investigator. hes best friends with umbra, but is entirely unaware of his ghoul identity. matts been working on the "black cat" case for a while. esper is his partner

-seraph is a student at the academy and is currently job shadowing matthew. doesnt trust esper as far as he can throw him (which isnt far). met victor while matt was out with umbra and they immediately became friends (😢)

-idk abt anyone else, but pilate is definitely a kid thats been experimented on and turned into a one-eyed ghoul.

-matthew loves to cook and brings food to umbras house for them to eat. rip in pieces, umbra. umbra has learned to eat human food without like, y'know, puking in front of matt but victor gags if hes even near the stuff

-umbra isnt that good of a hunter (mostly because hes trying to take care of victor and hide his true nature), luckily aunora has a soft spot for victor and makes sure the kids fed. umbra is noted in his files to be malnourished, and that makes him weaker than the average ghoul

-names and masks:

  ¤victor wears a cat mask, and since he constantly is at umbras hip, they simply call him "kitten"

  ¤aunora wears a weird monstrous mask, with the most significant feature being a horn. shes called "the unicorn"

  ¤esper was previously called "the eyeless ghoul"

-umbra and victor love each other dearly but are being mercilessly hunted by the ccg bc they have to eat people to live

-later, umbra is being chased by matthew and matthew throws down a terrible blow. umbras mask falls off and hes terribly injured. matthew realizes "oh no, its him" and is freaking out bc he almost killed umbra, his best friend. he even let's umbra eat a chunk of his shoulder to be able to heal his wound. umbra thought hed hate him, but,,matt just loved him anyway

-seraph: so victors a ghoul, espers a ghoul, and pilates a ghoul. are there any other ghouls i should know about???
