i could honestly care less if a song is "mainstream" like?? if its a jam its a jam sorry bud

i shouldn't have to be held by a standard to determine whether im a """real fan""' or not. it's awful and it eliminates any possible new fans

ditto with adaptions- instead of being like "UGG! all these ppl are coming into the fandom bc of the new movie and ive been here for 2472827#737273747472 years so im a REAL fan!" try to be like "hey! if you like the new movie, be sure to check out the original novel! it's rly good too!"

try to be inviting! fandoms are supposed to fun. it's just a whole buncha people who like cartoons or comic books. it's that big of a deal! u just gotta loosen up and chill.

hardcore fans are good. casual fans are good too. ive been both in many, many situations! theres nothing wrong with that. just enjoy the media however you want!

ppl make such a big deal abt fandoms...but really, if youre not enjoying yourself, somethings wrong. just take a chill pill. none of this is life or death! its just cartoons! cartoons we love and want to have a good time with. fandom drama is so entirely pointless and counterproductive of the whole point of a fandom

ditto for shipping drama: entirely useless. it doesn't matter what you ship or write fanfic abt. it's fiction, youre not hurting anyone (as long as you tag appropriately and dont shove it in ppls faces)! for the love of crap, it's just two cartoons kissing its not a big deal. fiction isnt reality.
