Jonathan nodded and gave the girl at the take away a beautiful smile. . that didn't settle well with the dangerous beauty sitting by his side.

As he moved the car forward....

"Smiling at strange women isn't charity."

He didn't miss the bite in her tone.

"Did you say something?" He asked in a calm manner and Jennifer bristled quite visibly but she kept her mouth shut seeing him in a good mood. . wearing those damn clothes that fitted so well on his body. .

Jennifer clenched her fist getting flashbacks of the night..he had the power to make her want him more..

"Like they say, take a picture." He smiled and she rolled her eyes , her face red at being caught.

He definitely wanted to...have her right now with the way she was watching him. .it made driving hard.

"If you kept up with your stare, I think lines will be crossed. Clothes will be shredded." He said it all in a controlled casual manner , his eyes on the road.

Her heart came alive at his openness. Swiftly , she looked out the window . .staring at the outside world.

Yes...

She would like him to do just that. .

Biting her bottom lip, she hated how easily she always gave in to him. .and Jonathan. .he always wrapped his hand around her heart and claimed it his. .in the most smooth manner. She had always seen him harsh , inflexible. .and now. .he was bending for her. .it was all breath taking and felt like a rollercoaster ride.

He definitely knew her state. . seeing her twisting her hands in her lap. .yes he knew. .he couldn't stop widening the smile on his handsome face.

Taking off her earrings , she thought it it was her time to wind down ..to let go of the storm called Jonathan but he couldn't seem to let go of her.

He entered the room and her hands paused , seeing his reflection in the mirror. No one broke the eye contact when he moved right behind her in two long strides. . towering over her.

And she froze right there. .

Didn't she wish that day in his room for their reflection to merge together like one?

And today . .she got what she wanted.

Him behind her , him staring at her with the same intensity she had. .him-

Jennifer jumped when gently he made her stand on her feet.

Jonathan turned her around , loving her scent , her aura. . everything.

"You did it. You killed me in the battlefield. " His voice was low and . . tugging at her heart.

The man who had always been cut throat to her . .he had melted away.

Leaving this man behind.

She couldn't look in his eyes and looked away. . because he seemed ready to devour her. .ready to make her relive the night again.

"I didn't do. . anything " her voice was barely a whisper and she seemed afraid.

Afraid he might break the moment or tell her he was joking around with her.. feelings.

Again.

Jonathan knew he had messed up in the past , made her believe he didn't want her in any way. .and her agitated state had made her bite her bottom lip that just kind of pushed everything back in place because he kissed her right on the lips , shocking her to her core. .she did try to take a step back but he held her by the wrist . .and. .

"I know you didn't do anything and yet you did...," he breathed harshly against her mouth.

She gripped the front of his shirt , the both of them looking deep in each other's bare soul.

"I don't have it in me to see you change again. .see you break me down again. .one second you're rain and then you're the thunder raging at me. .no. .this can't be love. In fact you have never loved me , Jonathan. I did. .you never did. I know why you're doing this. ." She trailed off , seeing the shine wipe off from his green eyes.

He felt that. .felt her breaking him down , felt the emotions turning cold in him. .

"You want to see me on that bed again. This is exactly why you're-"

He pushed her back and she would have hit the mirror behind had he not grabbed her wrist , steadying her harshly and letting her go as if her whole being repulsed him.

"You think so . .so fucking low of me! You think I'm doing this to. .," he breathed in , trying to grasp on the volcano ready to burst any second on her ," you didn't just think I'm a a piece of shit . .you consider yourself a prostitute! Is that it?!" He asked in a cold voice , his face contorted with rage that made her tremble.

He didn't seem to be in his senses.

Jonathan raised his index finger at her.

"I wish you had never loved me , Jennifer! I wish you had never used that card on me and I wish all you could have done is try to know me! Try to meet the person I'm! And you know what? You don't love. It's my time to tell you. .you're the worst , Jennifer. .the utter worst!"

He didn't stop.

Like a storm , he whirled around and went out of the room.

Leaving her a mess.

They kept breaking each other's heart.
