Ladylike

Chapter five: 'Ladylike.'

//Unedited//

"No, no, no, no, no!" You were pacing around the house, speed-walking back and forth as you expressed your distaste aloud, "This is a terrible idea..." Taking your speed-walking to a halt, you found yourself in the kitchen, "Mother!" You whined to your parental figure, "If you care for me, you'll cancel this whole thing!"

"I do care for you," Your mother began to run around the kitchen, setting the table as if a fancy dinner would take place, "Which is why we're celebrating tonight with the young man who saved your life!"

"Besides, it's rude to cancel last minute Y/n; you should know that." Your mother pointed at you with a spoon while her speech was directed toward you.

You were just about to let out another whine, protesting about how bad of an idea it would be but you were cut off by no other than the doorbell.

"That must be him! Y/n go get the door!"

"What if I don't wanna?" You protested, resulting in a slipper flying toward you, thrown by no other than your mother whose patience would be certainly wearing thin if you continued to give her attitude.

Stomping away from the kitchen, trudging your two feet one after another you stopped at the arrival of the front door, putting on your best annoyed facial expression you opened the door, eyebrow raised and arms crossed, "Damien."

"Y/n."

"Could you not?" Already annoyed by his presence but his mockery taking your attitude the next level higher as if it were a video game.

"Aw, is little Y/n gonna complain to her mother," Damien teased, matching level with your height, the incorrect way to speak with short people.

"But anyway," Damien pushed you aside and walked in without you granting him access, "Thank you for letting me in." the boy closed his left eye, giving you a wink.

Scoffing you practically slammed the door shut, 'Can I kill him?!'

~

"I'm forever grateful to you! Thank you so much for saving my precious little angel!" Your mother pushed a plate full of roasted potatoes toward Damien as if she were telling him to eat as much as he wanted.

"And I'm grateful you invited me to dinner... Ms L/n.." Damien looked off to the side, a smirk on his face as he muttered something under his breath, to your luck you heard it, "Mummy's precious little angel~."

It was official; he was messing with you at this point.

Rolling your eyes you directed a swift kick under the table, your foot colliding with Damien's knee, this caused him to gasp and scrunch up his face in pain, "Just you wait..." He scowled, keeping his voice low enough for only you to hear.

Looking over toward your mother to see if she noticed anything you let out a slight sigh of relief, knowing damn well if she saw you kick the boy you'd have another slipper thrown at you.

"Ms L/n?" Your mother laughed lightly, "Please, call me Lucy."

"Lucy?" You questioned, why the hell was she allowing Damien of all people to address her by her first name?

Um, nani the fuck?

Shrugging it off with a swift roll of your eyes, you decided to shove a forkful of vegetables into your mouth, chewing slowly so you wouldn't choke and make a complete fool out of yourself.

"So tell me about yourself, Damien?" Lucy broke the newfound silence.

"Well...."

Apart from Damien bragging about himself, the rest of the night consisted of Damien and none other than yourself having a staredown as if the pair of you were arch enemies.

~

"Now shoo," Pushing Damien out of the open door you smiled in content once he began to leave, your grin faded once he had gotten in a lift, "Damn he should've walked and frozen to death..."

"Y/n get your ass in here and help me clean up please!"

'Well, at least she said please..'

"Coming mother!" You waddled as slow as you could into the kitchen, hoping to avoid the majority of the cleaning up before you decided to make yourself useful and help out.

~

"The fuck? The fuck?" On your journey to school, a sudden blizzard came out of nowhere, strong wind and small drops of snow following along, "The fuck is in the air?" You crouched down to inspect some fallen snow, "There's white shit everywhere.."

"Well, that doesn't sound very ladylike of you." A voice boomed from behind you, causing you to jump and spring up, standing straight you turned around and faced the person behind you.

"Are you following me?" Your face scrunched up as your right eyebrow rose as you saw the devil himself, also known as Damien.

"We go to the same school dumbass, why would I be following you?" He rolled his eyes and walked in front of you, "Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're not that interesting Y/n."

Not wanting to have your back to him, wanting to watch his movements you also spun around, facing Damien.

Being distracted by a butterfly, you looked over to the side for a hot second, this eas enough time for Damien to get his revenge from last night when you had kicked him under the table.

The last thing you remembered was something cold hitting you in the face, "Ow what the fuck?! That's freezing!" Jumping around like a lunatic you scowled at Damien who slowly started to retreat while laughing like an idiot.

'This ass really threw a snowball at me!'

"I'm gonna beat your ass--oh god it's in my bra..."

The rest of the morning consisted in a mini snowball fight between you and Damien, he was the one who started it, and you wanted to be the one who finished it, "Could you stop running away?!" Throwing a snowball as hard as you could toward a retreating Damien your face instantly paled.

"What the hell?!"

You had hit someone else.

"Oh my god, I am so sorry!" You ran toward the poor boy you had hit with a snowball, ignoring the brunette who had continued to run away, bursting out into a fit of laughter.

"Are you okay?" You looked at the boy you had hit once more; he had messy light brown hair followed by grey eyes, his skin a little on the tan side, there were 2 things about him which had received your attention, one of them being, his clothes.

No, not that way, you little pervs.

But the clothes he was wearing was your school uniform.

The other thing being he was absolutely gorgeous. Like, damn, he had no business looking that good.

"Yeah.." He looked you up and down, "I'm fine." the young man started to walk off, not uttering another word.

'Bro the fuck? First, he checks me out then he just leaves? wow, I'm hurt.' Pouting slightly you shook your head in an attempt to rid your thoughts.

"So I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to hold a conversation? Is that what it was?" Shrugging your shoulders, you continued your walk to school.
