Continuing with.... Cassie's POV.
We had made it up to the lodge. Me and Courtney were forced to sit and watch as the 'adults' argued. "So.... I just have to ask.... What was with your blush back there when i complimented you?" Courtney asked. Jessica looked at me and grinned slyly.
"Uh....." I fished out my phone to get a thing that would explain it. I wasn't sure what the dub would be like though. I clicked on a video and listened to it quietly to see how the dubbers had done. Not very well. "Shit. Damned dubbers..... I guess the sub'll have to do..." I found the sub of the video and gave her my phone to watch the video. "Just watch the video. You either will or won't understand. Ignore the last bit where it looks like she kills them. Just listen to what Yuno says." I told her. Was i actually doing this?
"I don't get it." She said after watching the video. I gave a loud sigh of relief.
"Oh thank god. That was the only way i was able to explain and you don't understand so now i don't exactly have to tell you. Could i have my phone back now?"
"Uh okay?" She handed me my phone. "Why can't you explain it?"
"I'm a terrible explainer." I put my phone back in my pocket. "It sucks in school. People ask for help because I'm smart but i don't know how to explain it. I'm more of a learner than a teacher."
"Oh. That makes sense i guess."
"I-" I was cut off by Emily and Jessica arguing
"Your FREAK of a sister threw a DOOR at me!" Emily yelled.
"I know I WAS THERE!" Jessica yelled back. "And she's not a freak. You're just abnormally weak!"
"Oh. Welp shit's going down over there." I watched as this all unfolded.
"Guys stop! If we can't get along for ten minutes then maybe we shouldn't have come up here." Josh interrupted. "Hey Mike, how about you check out the guest cabin i told you about?"
"Sure, sure." Mike took Jessica with him. He's her boyfriend. Emily droned on about her bag to Matt and they headed out to go get it. Josh sent Ashley and Chris out to get a ghost thingy board. That left Sam and Josh. Sam went to go have a bath to find there was no hot water, so she and Josh went to go turn it on, to shorten it slightly. Sam apologised about having to leave us so soon. Just me and Courtney left. DO NOT FREAK OUT. We sat there awkwardly. A few minutes passed and Courtney took an obvious breath in, as if she was about to say something but we heard footsteps and voices and she stopped herself from saying anything. Sam, Josh, Chris and Ashley came up from the basement, but immediately went elsewhere. Sam went to have a bath and Chris, Josh and Ashley went to check out the spirit board thing. There was shouting a few minutes later. Some weird laughter came from the basement.
"Okay so.... Are we gonna stay sitting here all day or should we go someplace?" I asked.
"I think we should go. HEY SAM!"
"YEAH?!"
"WE'RE GOING OUTSIDE FOR A WHILE IS THAT OKAY?!"
"YEAH SURE! HAVE FUN!"
"We can go." Courtney grinned. We headed outside to find it snowing like all hell broke loose but hell had iced over. "This is a lot of snow."
"Snowball fight?" I suggested.
"Snowball fight." Courtney was way ahead of me and had already got a snowball ready to throw at me.
"Oh shi-" She threw it before i could finish my sentence and i threw myself to the floor. The ball flew right over me. I sat behind i tree for cover and made my own snowball.
"Where did you go Cassiiee?" Courtney almost sang. It was a singsong voice or whatever. I aimed and she looked at me just as i threw it. "Oh fuck." She brought her arms up to her face and blocked the snowball. I was already collecting more and more snowballs and making a pile of them next to me behind the tree. I picked up another one and threw it blindly. I heard a thud and a yell. "Dammit my arm! No fair!"
"Alls fair in love and war! But just war. I was trying to quote something."
"Just war eh?" Courtney grinned again. I felt my face go red. Like really red. I picked up a bunch of the snowballs, ran and threw and about 4 hit her. "Ahah you're blushing again!"
"Am not!" I was messing up my words as i thought of what to say in my head. Courtney had snuck up on me while i was distracted, and dropped a pile of snow on my head. I screamed. "FUCK YOU! I CAN'T SEE!" I took my glasses off just for more snow to fall of my hair and be being unable to see temporarily. I stuck my glasses in my pocket. I just sat there all grumpy.
"You're cute when you're angry. Wait did i just.... Say that.... Aloud?" Courtney just stood there. I just sat there. We both had extremely shocked expressions on our faces. Then there was a scream from inside the lodge. "Sam." Courtney ran off into the lodge.
"HEY WAIT UP!" I ran after her, making sure she was safe.
"SAM?! SAAAM?!" I heard her yell.
"I swear to god if you get yourself killed..." I muttered to myself. Courtney continued calling for Sam. Then there was silence. "Oh shit COURTNEY?!" I yelled. I ran down to the basement, tripping as i went down the stairs. "OH FUCK" I yelled as i flew down the stairs and smashed my head off the floor. Need... To find.... Courtney... I picked myself up and carried on running. I got to a choice of forward or left. I looked left to see an odd fellow with a mask of some sort trying to open a door. I stayed quiet. He managed to get the door open and i made the mistake of taking a sharp breath in. He heard it and turned to look at me. "Oh shit."
