Your POV
Struggling to open my eyes, I slowly woke up from my deep slumber. I gave myself a little pat on the shoulder for waking up at 4 AM on my own. Unlike how dad usually has to wake me up with an unpleasant expression, this time I could make him proud with my little achievement.
My eyes scanned the dark, moisty room, looking for any kind of source of light. Dark shadowy figures in the room causing me to get chills. I squinted at what could either be my coat hanging on the closet, or Satan standing very still.
"Dear, she didn't do anything wrong. There's no need to be so angry with her." The voice of Mikoto reached all the way to my room. Ears twitching, I slowed down my breathing to listen in on their conversation. "However right that may be, she just never fails to somehow cause me a headache. If only that damned women took that child with her in death, we wouldn't be in this situation!"
Biting my lip, droplets of tears started to roll down my round cheeks. I didn't completely understand their conversation, but what I did know for sure is that father is mad, and when father is mad, my life gets a tad bit more difficult. He tends to take his anger out on me. Things like deliberately ignoring me, not feeding me, training me till I can't move a muscle in my body.
"My, you can't talk like that! How can you be so cruel to your own daughter!" Mikoto replied, shock and disappointment lacing in her voice. Yeah, she's kind of nice. But I didn't exactly like her. She didn't mean anything to me. Just, the wife of my father. The lady that caused the divorce between my parents. I didn't hate her for it, everyone knew that those two wouldn't last afterall.
Having about enough of them badmouthing me and my dear mother, I made my way over to the spiral stairs in the corner of my dark basement room. The lound sounds of the big chain hitting the floor as I walked was something I got completely used to by now.
With my little hand, I banged onto the stairs, looking at the door all the way up. "She's awake. I'll be back." I could hear my father say. As I waited patiently for him to come, my eyes kept looking back to Satan, making sure that he isn't moving. I wasn't planning on letting Satan nor any of the shadowy monsters kill me. So I had to make sure that Satan didn't just step closer a millimeter, I went back to looking at the door upstairs.
The door opened, allowing a little bit of light to come through. I climbed onto the first step of the stairs, eager to see more of the comforting light.
"D-daddy?" My high pitched voice squeaked out. I looked at the big outline of my father. Without a reply, he flicked the lights of my room on.
The sudden light made me go blind, I squeezed my eyes shut tightly before letting them adjust to the brightness. Meanwhile I could hear the stairs squeak as my father neared me.
Now my father stood right infront of me. He glared down at my small figure and crouched to unbuckle the heavy chain from around my ankle.
He shoved me aside and sat onto the bed, "Get ready, we are heading out." My eyes lit up, all the earlier sadness disappearing, being replaced by my excitement. "Yay!! Where are we going daddy!!" I cheered, a big smile stretching across my face.
Father sighed and pointed to my crusty bathtub. "Wash up. Im taking you to the academy."
I ran over to the bathub and quick washed myself in cold water, brushing my teeth hurriedly. The cheap soap turned into bubbles as I giggled while watching them float off into my plain room.
After finishing, I picked out a quick outfit. A turtleneck black shirt with the Uchiha crest on it, and a pair of black shorts underneath. "All done!" I cheered, smiling at my father. A sigh escaped his throat as he got up from the bed.
He picked me up and brought me upstairs, then put me down again. "Mikoto," He called as he walked off into the living room, looking for his wife. I ran over to the kitchen for a tomato, my breakfast.
"Don't be mean to her." Mikoto whispered to my father. Although she whispered, I could very clearly hear her. "She doesn't need your concern." My father replied without lowering his voice.
Ignoring their conversation, I sat on the ground with my tomato and a glass of water.
Nibbling onto my tomato, I heard my father calling for me from the doorway. "(Y/N), come here. We're leaving."
"Oh, uhm, good morning, (Y/N)." Mikoto said with a small smile as she avoided eye contact. I could easily tell that she was hesitant about greeting me.
I gave her a big smile, "Good morning Mikoto-san! I hope you slept well!" She nodded slowly, "Yeah.. I hope you did too."
I felt her getting nervous, but I didn't know exactly why. My father seemed to sense it too, so he forcibly grabbed me by my upper arm. "Enough. We're leaving."
As he dragged me towards the door, I continued to watch Mikoto as she uneasily shifted her gaze from me to the stairs, and back to me.
"Is she going to wake my little brother?" I asked my father. He "hn'ed" in reply so I stopped talking. Father closed the door behind us and silently dragged me along.

Mikoto's POV
(Bet ya didn't expect that huh
Reader-chan)
The uneasy feeling didn't leave my body as I watched Fugaku drag (Y/N) outside. (Y/N)'s eyes never left me until Fugaku closed the door.
There's something about that child. Her eyes, her demeanor, her words, everything about her made me nervous. As if I was walking on thin ice. A wrong move and the ice would break.
(Y/N) is only a child, and I feel guilty for treating her like this. But she is, she's scary. Even as a child. She's incredibly scary.
I bit my lip, thinking about a small child like this feels so wrong, but I can't help it. She's done nothing wrong in her life yet she's being treated like trash. I feel horrible for her.
Opening the door to Itachi's room, I sighed softly. The sleeping body of my precious son brought me joy. "I shouldn't worry so much about her. She's strong, and doesn't seem bothered by anything." I mumbled to myself.
Walking over to Itachi's bed, I gently sat down on the side. He cuddled with his dinosaur plushie. The plushie that (Y/N) gave him.
"He seems so peaceful.. unlike that child."
