5 years later

Heaven

"You thought you could just get rid of me?" the unknown figure chased me around my old house

"Heaven come in here" I heard my mother's voice as I passed my old bedroom

I back tracked quickly and went in my bedroom, locking my door.

"You're safe now sweetheart." she smiled

"Thank you mama" I smiled, hugging her tightly "How do we-"

She covered my mouth as we heard footsteps creeping down the hall. The steps got closer and closer to the room, followed by deep, dark chuckles. It's like I could hear my heart beating in my chest. The door to my room quickly swung open and there stood my father, smirking evilly. I tried to move my feet but they were stuck, rooted in the ground, literally.

"Stay away from me!" I moved around but nothing was helping "Mom help me!" I cried out to her as he walked closer

"James please don't hurt her." she said

"Shut the fuck up Celia!" he roared and slung her against a wall without even touching her

This is another nightmare. Wake up Heav! Wake up!

"I always regretted the day you were born." he said before wrapping his hand around my throat tightly

His eyes were all black, his hands were dirty, his face showed one emotion and that was anger.

"I hate you so much. I should've just killed you when I had the chance" he lifted me up from the ground by my neck

I tried to pry his hand off as my feet dangled. I struggled to breathe for air while tears filled my eyes.

"Heaven? Psh. Being your father was nothing but hell" he said before throwing me out a window

It's like I was falling in slow motion while he stood, looking down at me from the window.

Then boom!

"Girl wake up!" Mia's voice rang in my ear

"I'm up, I'm up" I sprang up from the bed

"You ok? You was in here hollering and screaming. I would've thought you was getting some good dick, but I know that ain't happening" she said, laughing after

I laughed falsely along with her "Oh haha. Shut up" I squinted, getting out of the bed

"I'm serious. You never even speak to boys" she smacked her teeth

"I don't want a boy, Mia, I want a man." I gathered my stuff for my morning hygiene routine

"Blah blah blah. You don't give anything with a dick the time of day"

"Because I'm focused on myself, not anything with a thing" I smiled before going in the bathroom

"It's called a dick, not a thing" she said through the door

"And it's called my room, not yours" I said, implying that I wanted her to get out

I heard her smack he teeth before the bedroom door closed.

She was my roommate in college and after we graduated we moved into an apartment together. I've been out of college for about 6 months now, I got my degree in Human Growth and Development, and I work at a daycare. I love the children there and it pays great. I'm doing pretty good for a 22 year old.

"Wake up dickears!" the fluffiness of a pillow connected with my face

I grumbled as I opened my eyes. I looked over at Keeis and Mario, smiling with plates of food in their hands.

"Karot top made breakfast" Mario said before putting eggs in his mouth "Nasty ass breakfast" he spit them right back out

"These damn pancakes still got batter in 'em." Keeis spit out his food too

"Y'all always down talking my girl" I smacked my teeth, getting out of bed

"Yo girl can't burn" Keeis sat his plate on the dresser

"She can burn but not in the good way. This sausage is burnt as fuck" Mario scrunched his face up and sat his plate down too

"The breakfast won't for y'all anyway, it was for me" I squinted, sitting on the edge of the bed

"Psh. You can gladly have that nasty shit" Mario lightly chuckled

Keeis laughed in agreement before speaking "Hurry up and get dressed, you got a busy ass day asshole"

"I'm finna go find some food that Karate didn't cook" Mario said before exiting the room with Keeis

I shook my head before getting up, going in the bathroom, and starting my hygiene.

Life is good. Life is great. What else can I say? Haters gonna hate...ok but seriously, life is going good right now. After I signed with Jive, my career skyrocketed and now I'm living my dream. I'm eating but I'm still hungry, so I ain't done winning. I got a girl, money, my mama living good, an amazing fanbase, and I get to do what I love. Yeah sometimes I have a few rough patches, but what human doesn't?

"Good morning baby" Kae greeted me as I came downstairs

Mario and Keeis were sitting in the living room watching tv.

"Good morning beautiful" I bent down and pecked her lips

"I made breakfast" she smiled, picking up a plate "Mario and Keeis gobbled theirs right up, good thing I made enough" she chuckled

"Uhm...I'm running late so I'ma just grab a yogurt." I went in the refrigerator

"But babeeeee, I woke up extra early and slaved over this stove just for you" she whined

"OkOkOk. I'll take it with me" I forced a smile

"I'll put extra on your plate just in case" she started smiling again

"No!...I mean..." I chuckled "This is already enough" I took the plate from her hand

"Ok. I love you" she pecked my lips

"I love you too." I still held on to my yogurt

"Mario and Keeis lets go!" I said as I headed to the front door

"Ok dad" Mario said sarcastically, smacking his teeth

I squinted at him before exiting the house with them following. I stopped pass the dog houses, emptied the food into Nike, DD, and X's bowls.

"Ohhh you foul" Keeis laughed

"Just like that food" Mario joined in

"Y'all stop" I laughed a little

"You shoulda' just been honest with her." Keeis said

"Yeah. Shoulda just told her straight up her food was disgusting and indigestible as shit." Mario added

"I don't wanna hurt her feelings." I shrugged

"I'll hurt 'em for you" they said in unison

"Shut the fuck up" I dragged my words out before getting in my car

Each of them got in theirs and we pulled off, beginning another busy day.
