"Nice place." Keka said.
"If you like ominous trees." I said.
"This place smells awful."
"It's a swamp of course it does."
I stop. I listen. There was rustling in the leaves. I grip my pitchfork. Keka bared his fangs. He started to look bigger and hiss.
"We may have company." I say.
"I hear it to."
Something jumped out of the bushes. It looked kind of like a bear, but it had a thick shell. It was like a bear and a turtle hybrid. It splashed the water. I jumped back. Keka stayed on the raft.
"What the heck is this thing?" Keka asked.
"Don't know. Don't care." I say.
It was strong. Really strong. I jumped away from it. My pitchfork glowed.
"I made you cry." I sang.
Water rose and hit the bear-turtle. It growled at me. It tried to slap me with its powerful tail, but I dodged it. His claws slapped the water. It was harder to walk on rippled water. I lose my balance. I fall into the water. I burst out.
"Boy! You good?" Keka asked.
"Yes." I say standing back onto the water.
This thing was a lot faster than I anticipated. Its claw struck my chest. I drew back. I clutched my chest which was bleeding heavily. Keka leaped and bit the bear-turtle. The bear-turtle yelped. It clawed Keka off. Thankfully he landed into dirt. He shakily stood up.
I then saw an arrow engulfed in flame stab the bear-turtle. The soldiers of Kallikora. We found them.
