The village was hard at work day and night. War is inevitable. They were busy building a wall that stretched from one end of the Kallikora lands to the other. Many reptiles were busy hauling materials to the building site. Mrs. Leary was brining a huge wagon filled with braided ropes. Her fingers were starting to ache. Her bones were breaking.
"I can help with that." Mr. Longborrow offered.
"Oh thank you." Mrs. Leary said.
Mr. Longborrow took the wagon from Mrs. Leary.
"Wow. These braids are splendid! Did you make these all yourself?" Mr. Longborrow asked.
"Oh no. I collected them all from the different parts of the land. Though I did do my fair share." Mrs. Leary said.
"The village has changed so much. The wall we're building certainly is a sight for sore eyes." Mr. Longborrow said.
There were so many reptiles building the wall under Old Jara's wing. The wall was made of wood but they were sharp as spears. Many lizards, even snakes are chopping wood.
"Faster! Let's get a move on!!" Old Jara yelled.
He gazed over all the hardworking lizards. They were his trainees. It gave him a new purpose. Since Calamity's absence, he ran out of things to do. At least this gave him something to take his mind off his worries.
"Those wasps can come at anytime! Maybe tomorrow! Maybe in an hour! Maybe in a week! We need to be ready when ever they come!!" Old Jara yelled.
From here on out the Kallikora lands will be buzzing with preparation. This would change everything for everyone.
