Letters and Royalty

The mighty Lord Tywin Lannister was sitting peacefully in his cept.

As he glanced over papers he noticed that he had the letter he received last night from his son Tyrion Lannister. The note stated that he was surprised to have heard that he had a daughter who had actually come to Casterly Rock and had been taken in by his father.

Although the correspondents weren't as clear as the person of the common mindset would understand Tywin understood it fully.

Tyrion had plans to make it back to the Rock after he and his siblings returned from the north. Robert was in the middle of traveling up north to go fetch Ned Stark to have as his hand of the king.

Although Tywin didn't much care for the old wolf of the North he also didn't care about the position of hand of the king as much as he did such a long time ago. Growing older and his age now he knew that he didn't have much longer left on this Earth.

To make sure that his children left behind a lineage worthy of the family name was the most important now for him, it had always been the most important for him actually.

Setting the note aside he would keep in mind that over the past months that Tyanna had been here she had been little to no trouble for him. The initiative that she had shown to prove herself to him was astounding to say the least.

He had expected a much bigger fight on her behalf seeing as how she herself had said that she was his prisoner while being here. And if it was one thing that Tywin knew better than anything else it was that a caged dog was a dangerous dog.

However Tyanna didn't seem to be as dangerous as he first expected.

And in all actuality he was rather pleased with the turn of events. His children had been a disappointment to him.

And his grandchildren of his daughter had been a disappointment to him as well. However it seemed that this girl was the least of his worries when it came to what it took to please him.

In all honesty Tywin Lannister had an eye for greater things and Tyanna was honestly one of those greater things.

"Ser, Tyanna as you requested."

One of the maids called from behind the closed door. Tywin placed his papers aside and setup straight to welcome the young woman who had been under his roof for the last couple of months.

"She may enter."

He acknowledged watching the door creak open and sing the woman enter his cept.

"Tyanna."

Tywin greeted watching as the walked before his desk and gave him one of her well practiced curtsies.

"Lord Tywin, you wished to see me?"

She questioned as he looked her up and down. She had changed quickly over the last few months. She was no longer the hunchback wild looking child she was when she first arrived and now instead she could easily pass as a true and proper Lady.

Tywin reached over and grabbed the piece of paper that had been sent by Tyrion. He sat it on the edge of the desk.

"From your father, my son Tyrion."

He stated watching as she blinked and came forward to pick the letter up off the desk. She held it between her fingers as she read the paper. She took a moment before lifting her head and looking at Tywin.

"He wishes to meet me?"

"So it seems."

Tyanna looked back to the letter but did not read further. Instead she sighed deeply through her nose and returned the letter to the desk.

"To go out of his way to see his Bastard I'd think you'd act a bit more grateful?"

"Why should I? He never gave me anything other than life. Why should I be grateful to a father who was never around?"

Tywin's lips went to curl up before he managed to stop them. He nodded a tad bit listening to the young woman. Leaning back in his seat he sighed.

She was dressed well today. A deep red Lannister colored dress with little golden outlined flowers that were hand stitched into the fabric. Her golden hair pinned up into a small bun as best as it could be done. And her eyes.

Those Lannister eyes that looked back into Tywin's own.

"Well, regardless of all that you're extremely lucky. You're lucky of who your father is, you're lucky to not be a dwarf because of who your father is, and you're lucky that I didn't just end up killing you in our dining hall the day you were brought to me."

Tywin bluntly stated like usual. He grunted as he rose from his chair and walked around his desk to become closer to Tyanna.

His hands were clasped behind his back as he made his way toward her. He towered over her as he stood before her as the proud old lion that he made himself become. Looking down at her he could see the look that was held captive in her green-golden gaze.

"Very few people find themselves lucky enough to belong to one of the strongest houses and even more lucky to belong to one of the richest."

"I'm a bastard not a Lannister."

"True, not yet you're not, but soon you will be. I've spent far too much time and effort to make sure you become one."

Tywin stated as he reached out and took her chin between his thumb and forefinger lifting it a bit for her to look up at him more.

"And by the time your father arrives, perhaps you'll be a Lannister."
