Little Mouse

She wept and wept locked in the black dungeon below Casterly Rock. Her mother and father dead and she was to marry their killer. Her siblings screaming for her before their necks sliced wide open. Her mother's voice sobbing in the background of the screams and bodies being sliced open.

Putting her hands to the sides of her ears, she held them there trying to drown out the sounds of the now dead.

Her father was foolish to think that he could have rose up against House Lannister. Tytos may have been a kind man in her eyes, but it was indeed true that the old Lord was foolish, which was why her father attempted the uprising.

And now look where it left them. They were all dead and she was to tend to Tywin and give him heirs to help strengthen his reign.

It wasn't bad enough that his first wife Joanna, had died giving childbirth a few years back. Now she was to fulfill the role of the wife and more than likely do the same.

The door the cell opened with a loud bang and startles her greatly. She scurried back toward the wall as much as she could while she sat on the ground. She looked at the woman that entered the room. She wasn't expecting a woman.

"You are the Lady my brother brought back? The last of the Reyne?"

Her voice was soft and held a motherly tone. She nodded as her held her knees tightly with her hands.

"My name is Genna Lannister. I am the youngwst sister of Lord Tywin Lannister. What is your name?"

"Laila Reyne."

She spoke finally seeing the woman nod and then motioned toward the guards.

"They're here to escort you to the bath. There you shall clean and then get dressed in something more... proper."

Laila knew that she was talking about the mud that covered her clothing from where she had been cast down into the mud a few days prior. Slowly Liala stood up and looked at Genna. The woman didn't seem to mean her any harm, but she couldn't just lower her guard when her family had been...

Walking forward Liala followed Genna and the guards followed her. She was brought up to a room where a tub full of water had been waiting for her. Genna took a seat in a chair and motioned toward the bath.

"I'm to watch you bathe. My brother wishes to have an eye kept on you at all times until he deems otherwise."

She mentioned causing Laila to blush. Having another woman watching her bathe wasn't her ideal of a relaxing bath -- which was something that she needed badly.

After she had bathed and dressed Laila looked at herself in the mirror. She felt her heart torn in two as she looked at the Lannister colors that reflected back to her in the mirror. Red and gold, not red and silver.

It was just another painful reminder that she had lost her family to the Lannisters.

"Come child, you must meet with my brother in his sept now."

Genna motioned for the girl to follow after her. She noticed that she had been called a child. It made her wonder just how big of an age difference there might have been between Tywin and herself now.

Tywin didn't seem to be that old looking, but now she was starting to think that he was perhaps older than he seemed.

Following Genna down the hall she stopped at the doors. The guards still on either side of her, waiting with her as Genna walked inside and announced her arrival.

Laila then entered the room and the guards waited outside. She swallowed as she stood there and watched as Genna was excused to leave. Laila felt her heart racing as she stood there before the lion. The same lion that butchered her entire family -- who was left alive that was to say.

"You clean up well."

He spoke causing Laila's eyes to widen a bit giving Tywin a better look at them. His face was stoic as he stood behind his desk turned to the side. He may have been looking out the window prior to her arrival.

She felt nervous with his eyes lingering on her. He seemed to notice this was the case as the atmosphere of the room changed greatly.

"Tell me. Are you a traitor like your father?"

"Traitor my Lord?"

She questioned her hands instancing fumbling around with one another as she stood in the room presented before Tywin. He noticed the anxious twitching and stepped away from the window.

"Do you plan to kill me in my sleep?"

Her breath hitched. What type of question was that to be asked? She quickly shook her head and swallowed nervously again. Tywin's stoic expression never changed.

"No? Not even after the fact that I killed your entire family?"

She shook her head again. Tywin could literally see her shaking there as she stood before him.

Good.

That's what he wanted from her. The fear which he would soon later turn into respect. He would mold the woman into how he seen fit if she were to honestly bare him more heirs. His eldest son could not be his heir and he'd be damned if he left it to that little monster Tyrion.

"Why?"

He questioned this time causing Laila to blink know a scared yet confused manner.

"B-Because my lord nothing can come from death since I have already lost those I loved."

She said causing Tywin's stoic expression to break as his eyebrow arched and he frowned with a rather mischievous expression.

"Really?"

He muttered under his breath before he turned around and headed back for his desk. He seemed to have some papers and what looked like a map laid across his desk.

"Genna will bring you to dinner tonight. The guards will be outside your door at all times. You're dismissed."

He told her causing Laila to quickly turn on her heels and nearly run for the door.

She was no longer a proud lion, but a scared and feeble mouse that now lived with the true lions of the West.
