Rewarded

Joffrey Baratheon set up on the Iron Throne looking at the woman that he had requested an audience with the moment he heard about her powers, and her loyalty she had for the Lannisters and above all else loyalty to his grandfather Tywin Lannister.

Garnet did there unspoken looking at Joffrey. Tywin himself was standing beside her although he had a daunting amount of work to do Tywin could not attend to it until he's Grand some curiosity about the shape-shifting woman with quenched.

Garnet notice that is Joffrey looked upon her he looked her over slowly as if taking in her appearance that she showed of a common wildling.

"What's your name, my lady?"

Joffrey called out his voice echoing through the throne room. That very room that usually held a plentiful selection of people from the court and packed to the brim had no audien today I only the three of them how's the room.

Garnet gave a small and polite partly bow showing good faith towards the young king.

"Garnet Donnavan of House Lannister your grace."

To her words Joffrey's brow rose and he looked between her and his grandfather. This did not go unnoticed by either Tywin or Garnet as it was a common running theme that happened during introductions.

"Forgive me, my lady but how can you be of House Lannister with a different Ser name?"

"My loyalty has been to your grandfather and his family for many generations your grace. Lann the Clever, as you might know, was the founder of your grandfather's house and he was the first whom I served."

Garnet explained with a small pleasing smile. However looking to Tywin and his expression was the sheer opposite of hers.

Then had Joffrey seemed to take a moment as he looked from his grandfather and back to her. It was if he was trying to search for answers for the questions that he had only to come up empty-handed.

"Well then, perhaps you can help to shed some light on the real story as to the Casterly's downfall?"

With this question Garnet noted that Joffrey seems to be a boy who is easily amused. And a boy who is easily amused in her eyes was not fit to be a king.

"Perhaps another time your grace."

Tywin interrupted causing Joffery to really see his grandfather's turned sour expression. Joffery fell quiet for a moment before he nodded his head quickly in agreement.

"Yes, right, another time then Lady Donnavan."

Joffery said clearing his throat.

"I have called you here to award you for your help in protecting the city and assisting my grandfather in the loyal manner that you did."

Joffrey spoke if he lifted his arm and pointed towards her. Garnet stood there rather . As to what it was that Joffrey was going to reward her.

"For your bravery and loyalty to the crown I hereby present you with lands to the south of Casterly Rock and Lannisport. May you find them usefull and use them to make your own home and city in which you can be remembered by on this historic day."

Garnet arched eyebrow in question to herself what she would possibly do with land of her own? Was it not obvious that as a ward, he did not seem to age, that land would be no use to her? Regardless she gave a bow.

"Also, I proclaim you - as did I Tywin Lannister - savior of the city."

There. Now that was something she actually found useful. A title that she could carry with her until her final breath.

"Thank you, your grace."

She said if she stood from her bow. Garnet gave a quick glance high winds way and notice that he was watching her closely. What Joffrey's title and land given to Garnet, Joffrey allowed for the both of them to now leave the throne room to continue with whatever work his grandfather had to attend to.

Once they were alone in the hallway Garnet look toward Tywin and gave him a small smirk as they walked away from the throne room doors. When she heard the doors closed behind them it was then she gave a slight scoff like chuckle.

"Odd grandson you have."

Garnet pointed out as she walked beside Tywin to his chamber of the hand. Tywin walked briskly through the Halls not replying at first and instead merely looking at the woman beside him. She looked at him as well still with that smirk upon her lips as if trying to get her point across that she didn't like the boy.

"He's a complete disaster."

Tywin replied finally. She understood extremely well but the family name was something Tywin held to the highest regards and she had ever only heard him speak this way about his lesser family -- which apparently included his own grandson.

"He does seem like a rather childish king."

She stated as they came to the stairwell of the Hand.

"It's a good thing that you are the Hand. With such guidance we have nothing to fear when it comes to our kingdom."

This caused high winds to stop in the middle of the first floor for Tower. He turned and I'd her from the side as he was caused. He spoke in a very low voice so as to not be heard by any wandering ears.

"Careful how you speak when it comes to the king. There are enough spies here to make it back to someone of higher powers. I'd hate to see you loose your head upon upon a pike because you forgot to watch your tongue in public."

He scolded. Garnet only cracked a grin as she looked to the elder man.

"Apologies my lord. I often forget that with such a great display of power you present that there couldn't possibly be anyone stronger than yourself."

Garnet said in an attempt to flatter Tywin. He merely frowned and continued moving.

"You'd do well to remember that in the future."

He said having her give a nod as they continued their way to the room of the Hand. Once they arrive Garnet close the door behind her.

Another smile play to her lip while she watched Tywin make his way to his desk. Sitting Atop The mahogany wood was work that he was prepared to tackle.

Mountains of papers were there left unattended by his son Tyrion who Tywin had made the mistake of leaving as hand of the king in his absence.

Garnet took note of the unfinished work figuring that Tywin had left a less suitable person in charge while he was off fighting the War of Five Kings.
