Editor

If you are like me, you cringe when you see sentences with multiple spelling errors and wordsthatruntogether (see what I did there?).

Those of us who are mobile users know this pain as I am one of them. I go back to proofread my story only to find mistakes that I missed in the writing process. Honestly, it's infuriating. Especially when I tried to correct as I go. Yeah, that fails at times.

I guess what I am saying is this. I would love to have an editor. However. There will be conditions.

1. Read the chapter, but don't just read them, immerse yourself in the story. I want you to enjoy what you read.

2. If you like the chapter, let me know what you liked or were confused about so I can bring that to light.

3. Be interested. I don't want to have someone who feels like they are being forced to read a story they consider terrible, while correcting it. I want them to enjoy it.

4. Be meticulous. This is a big one. I want my editor to list my spelling mistakes and the chapters that they are found in along with the paragraph, so I can fix them. If any punctuation is misused, let me know and tell me how to rectify it.

5. Do not flame. This is a given. I don't think anyone desires an editor who flames the story they are helping to fix.

6. Find time to help me. If you can't do it, don't ask, simple as that.

So what do you, the editor get out of this?

1. A chapter will be dedicated to you for your services.

2. When it's over, you will be mentioned in the epilogue when it's all said and done.

3. The prologue will have a mention of you as a token of thanks for your help.

If there is anything else you want me to do, I will gladly consider it.

Thanks!

Ciao,

-Ty
