The Deal

Tyrion had been busy the following morning. Preparing to take a ship across the sea to find this Targaryen woman wasn't really his cup of tea.

But he had agreed that something had to be done with who sat on the throne. Tommen was just a puppet for Cersei and Stannis Baratheon wasn't someone he wanted to see on the throne either.

So, setting off in search of a woman that could have been his best bet. Restoring peace to the Seven Kingdoms was something that needed to happen and it needed to happen now.

Not to mention he needed someone who would be willing to pardon both him and Alanna -- his sister would never do such a thing.

"How long do you think it will take?"

Tyrion questioned Illyrio as he watched the taller man viewing the ship being packed up correctly. Illyrio glanced down at Tyrion with a large smile.

"A few weeks to track her down perhaps. Even longer for you to convince her that you're on her side now."

"I'm not on anyone's side but my own."

Tyrion corrected quickly. He didn't want Illyrio getting the wrong idea. True he believed that neither parties were fit for the throne, but he also believed that he wanted to keep his head.. for a little while longer at least.

"Perhaps not, but it seems like you have someone on yours. Excuse me."

Illyrio said giving a quick bow and leaving Tyrion alone. The small man raised a brow wondering what Illyrio meant prior to heading down to make sure that the ship was being packed accordingly.

"Think we'll make it?"

The soft question came from behind Tyrion. He turned on his heels and seen Alanna standing there holding her stomach.

"I'm not sure. What are you doing here? You should be inside resting."

Tyrion said looking her up and down once wondering what she was doing here. Alanna blinked slowly and looked down at the little man.

"I'll rest once I'm a bored the ship."

Her words shocked him. Did she really mean that? Was she really going to come with him across the sea to find the Targaryen girl?"

"You're joking?"

He asked and she gave him a stoic look. He shook his head and cursed under his breath.

"You're not joking."

He sighed and took a step forward, holding up his hand as if to make a point with his jester.

"This is no small task Alanna and most certainly not one for a pregnant woman."

"You honestly expect me to stay here alone? Varys is leaving and Illyrio will return after he's taken you to the Targaryen woman, which will then have me left alone with him... I do not wish to be alone."

She informed Tyrion causing the man to look down toward the dock seeing Illyrio working on getting things moving along faster. He turned his gaze back to her.

"You believe he will harm you?"

"I believe he'll try and marry me."

She snorted as she smoothed out her dress. Tyrion understood. She was in fact beautiful between her lush brunet hair and her blue eyes that were speckled with gold. She was tall and all around stunning with a kindness in her heart that had been hardened over due to his father.

But she was certainly someone that no man in their right mind wouldn't try to marry if given the chance.

"It'll be dangerous. How will I protect you? I cannot."

"You forget that I might be a Lannister now, but I was once a Stark. Hunting, sword play, and archery was something I was always fair at doing. Least till your father came along."

"Yes, but you're -- "

"Being pregnant does not make me any less capable at swinging a sword. I'm merely fatter now. Fat people can still fight last I checked."

She said rolling her eyes. Tyrion couldn't help but laugh. It was the first laugh he had given since they had left King's Landing in their daring escape. He had nearly forgotten what type of humor Alanna had since he had been imprisoned.

"You've got me there. Just promise me one thing if I allow you to come?"

"Depends."

"Promise me that you will listen. If I tell you to run you will run. If I tell you to be silent you will let me do the talking."

Alanna opened her mouth to argue but then shut it once she realized that the tone in Tyrion's voice was not that of the controlling tone of Tywin's, but a very concerned one instead. She inhaled deeply before realising it through her nose and nodding.

"Alright. But you must promise me something in return Tyrion."

"Yes?"

"No more drinking until after we've spoken with the Targaryen woman. If you plan to speak for me then I would feel much safer if you do it with a sober mind."

Tyrion snorted and lowered his hand back to his side. He nodded his head and the deal was struck.

They would set a corse for the Targaryen woman and in hopes of getting back out alive.
