My Home
The sea was rocky, but that was to be expected. Alanna held Tyanna tightly to her chest shushing and soothing her little girl. Jorah sat close by on the chair beside her bed. He watched silently while sharpening his sword.
"You make a fine mother, Alanna."
He said softly. She looked at him for a moment before back down to her little girl.
"I was the eldest of my siblings. I became a mother long before now."
Jorah chuckled softly, finding amusement in her truth. Alanna, with the swaying of the ship, slowly placed Tyanna in her basket beside her bed.
"When we return to Westeros, I must help my sister. After that you're free to return to your Queen."
Jorah pasued in the sharpening of his blade and looked at the younger woman. His eyes slightly wide as he sat in his corner.
"You will not return?"
"My home is the North, it has always been. And now that all my brothers are gone, I must take back our home for Sansa and hopefully, if she still lives, Arya."
Jorah watched closely as Alanna moved with such a grace he could have sworn he was dreaming. Moving from the basket and back to the bed while the ship rocked and swayed made no difference to her. I'm fact she was almost angelic like with her movements.
Clearing his throat Jorah moved his eyes back to his blade.
"And what of Cersei Lannister? She now sits on the throne. Will she not come after you and your child?"
"Yes. The moment she hears I am in the North she will be out for both our heads. But that's where she will have a problem."
Jorah arched a brow. The more he listened to the woman who had shown him time and time again that she was capable of taking care of herself the more he found himself wondering.
"Once the men of the North see my return and I save Sansa, removing Lord Bolton will be my next task. I know he's had no help from the South, Tywin would -- "
Alanna found herself paused for a brief moment, Jorah noticed as well.
"Tywin included me in much of his job. I was like a wall to help bounce ideals off of most nights. And one thing I learned is that the North had grown weak, far too weak, since Lord Bolton took charge. I'll rally Stark allies and push back Lord Bolton."
"You sound so sure of yourself. As if the people will just flock to you once you return."
Alanna turned and looked at Jorah.
"Don't be so naive. I night be a Stark by blood, but it will take much more than my name to convince them to follow me again."
