I Care

Alanna laid beside Tyrion curled up next to him. His hand moving up and down her shoulder slowly, moving along the naked skin. They laid there wrapped up in their blankets and being silent alone.

There wasn't much to say after all, their actions from a few moments ago spoke loudly. Tyrion had become Hand of the Queen and Alanna had been accepted by Daenerys.

Today had been stressful, but they were both happy that it was all over.

"Tyrion?"

Alanna finally spoke up softly looking at Tyrion. He gave her a lazy and tired gaze.

"I haven't had the proper chance to thank you for everything you've done for me."

Tyrion blinked slowly before he snickered a little and reached over for the wine on the bed side beside him.

"I believe you've thanked me enough."

Alanna rolled her eyes and sat up a bit watching as Tyrion took a sip of his wine.

"I mean it Tyrion. You could have left me there to Cersei's wrath or you could have shot and killed me along side Tywin."

"I would never do that."

"But you have to admit, it would have made things much simpler for you."

"Alanna, I'm not sure if you've noticed or not, but I do care for you."

Tyrion said putting his glass down resting against his chest while being held in his hands. Alanna looked at him, her large belly pressed against his side.

"Tyrion, it's hard to miss."

She said softly looking at him. He gave a small smile before taking a sip of his wine. He just lay there with her in his arms. He didn't think things could get any better than they were right now.

Tyrion raced down the hallway as fast as his small legs could carry him. Her screams echoed through the hallways of the large palace. Tyrion had been awoken to a soaking wet bed and panicked thinking he or Alanna had been stabbed in the middle of the night. Little had he known she had went into labor.

He had ran for the Measter and the older man was far ahead of him and probably already into the room. Tyrion however couldn't keep up and fell behind, telling the Measter to just keep going as Alanna needed the man.

When Tyrion finally reached the room, Alanna's handmaiden met Tyrion at the door.

"Please Lord Hand, she's in labor right -- "

"Don't you think I know that! Let me in!"

He ordered startling the woman and having her quickly move out of the way allowing Tyrion inside. Tyrion entered the room horrified. There was blood everywhere his eyes landed. There was a baby crying loudly. Its screams whaled through the room as the Measter held the child.

"It's a girl!"

He spoke up wrapping the child in the cloth he had. Tyrion watched as the Measter cut the umbilical cord and handed the child off to be cleaned by the maids.

Tyrion couldn't focus on anything but the blood. The blood was everywhere and then he looked up to Alanna's face and she was white as a sheet.

"Lord Tyrion, Lady Alanna needs to rest."

The Measter said quietly to the little lord. Tyrion shook his head a bit and then looked at all the blood.

"Why is there so much blood? She's white as a ghost!"

"Please, my lord -- "

The Measter said quietly as he attempted to escort Tyrion from the room, but he wouldn't have it.

"What's happening!"

He finally yelled out angry that the man wasn't giving him answers.

"She ripped right through me."

The weak voice came from the bed. Tyrion's eyes widened as he practically pushed around the Measter and quickly made it to Alanna's side. He looked over her face, his hand taking hers.

"She ripped through me, I wasn't ready."

She said weakly causing Tyrion to bite his tongue and held her hand tightly. She turned her dark and tired blue eyes toward him.

"If I die, don't hate her for it like your father..."

Tyrion's felt his heart break in two and his emotions unwound at her words. He shook his head slowly and sniffled, leaning over more toward her.

"I could never. It's not her fault. But you're not going to die. You're not going to I won't let you."

He whispered seeing her scoff softly. She blinked just as slow looking at him.

"I want you to name her."

Tyrion's brows raised he hasn't expected that. He shook his head quickly.

"She's your child."

"But you'll love her all the same."

"Alanna, please -- "

"Name her, Tyrion."

He knew now wasn't the time to argue. Shaking his head slowly he finally nodded.

"Okay, okay I'll name her."

This caused Alanna to smile softly.

"Good. I need to rest now."

She informed him. He hesitated for a moment, hoping that she actually meant to rest and not, well, he wanted her to survive.

He wanted her so badly to live to see another day.
