38 - The Room

(Why do I have a feeling this is going to reach 50 chapters... Dang. Oh and by the way, Frisk is still wearing the gray jacket. Don't ask how ahahahah.

-BTW I REACHED 7K!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.-

It's her outfit for most of this AU, with her striped sweater inside and her brown shorts. The jacket looks like Sans' with the rustic fur, but it's just gray. Haha.)

After a few minutes of admiring the Tyrant's garden, Frisk stood up and strolled back into the palace. The wind sent a breeze her way, and she smiled as the cold air hit her face. She stared down at her shoes as she walked back inside. Once she stepped in the hall, the wind stopped blowing and the temperature changed.

It was warm inside, but she was thankful. The jacket that Sans gave her was nice and comfortable, it didn't make her too hot but still helped with the cold.

She closed the garden doors and faced the hall. She decided to explore the palace, since this was going to be her home for a few days. She wandered around, the sound of her shoes tapping on the marble floors echoing.

She didn't know what to do that moment.

She found herself opening a large door, unbeknownst to what was inside. What she saw shocked her a little. It was a big room... Completely full of books.

Dusty shelves and rows were packed with books, and they looked old but it still sparked her curiosity. She pulled a book from the shelves and blew off dust from it. She examined the cover. Old markings and the kingdom's sigil was on the front.

'The Origin Of Monsters'

She opened the book gently. Her eyes were wide with curiosity, as the worn yellow pages and the ink engraved on the paper entranced her.

Was this what the kingdom was hiding from the rest of the people?  The way those ancient markings on the plaques in waterfall were scratched off?

Interested, Frisk pulled a chair and placed the book on the table. She placed her arms on the table and started to read intently.

'Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS. '

'One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.'

'They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.'
