1 - Understand

(And we shall begin! Do not start the song yet.)

"Chara. Please. Don't leave me... I...I don't know what I would do without you..." Asriel whispered. Chara was struggling to keep her hazel eyes open. She was a deathly pale, and her lips were quivering.

"A-asi... I... I won't... Ever... Leave you..." Chara muttered quietly. She was shaking, and gripping the sheets harder with every word. Tears dropped from the side of her face.

Tears were also escaping Asriel's eyes as he clutched Chara's pale hand.

"Asriel.." Chara started to say. She took a small envelope from her pocket and slowly handed it to  a crying Asriel. She gave him a weak smile. But then...

She closed her eyes. And her chest stopped rising.

"No... No, no, Chara! Wake up!" Asriel sobbed.

"Chara! This isn't funny anymore! W-wake up...!
C-Chara!" Asriel cried, shaking the lifeless body of the child.

Asriel looked down in pain, still clenching Chara's limp hand. He was gritting his teeth, and an overflow of tears were pouring from his eyes.

"Ch-Chara..." He whispered.

He shakily opened the envelope.

A large word was at the back. Asriel.

He opened the envelope gently. A paper was inside, decorated in Chara's neat hand writing. Asriel started to read, the tears non stop.

My dearest Asriel,

You are my best friend. I'm not going to say 'were', because you still are. Asriel... I have one request to ask of you. When I die...  Please bring me to the surface... And take me to see the stars. I love you Asriel. You will forever be my brother.

Your beloved sister,
Chara

Asriel clenched the letter in his hand. His heart was heavy, and he was blinded with sorrow.

And rage.

He closed his eyes tightly. And when he opened them, his eyes weren't a soft violet anymore. It was a menancing black.

He stood up. Placed his hands on top of Chara's body. And started to absorb her soul.

A pale pink magic aura srarted to lift from Chara's chest, rising into Asriel's own. A pale pink heart slowly started to rise; and collided with Asriel's soul. It turned into a colour of a rainbow, shining brightly as ever.

The power enfilled him quickly, building him large horns and enormous spiked wings, the galactic presence resting inside them.

He was lifted in the air, and when the glowing stopped, he was laid gently on the ground.

He increased in height, and his robe grew longer.

His cheeks were dried with tears, and his eyes were dark and lifeless. He looked sorrowful, but there was a frown on his face. He looked so full of rage.

His horns and wings dissapeared, turning him back to normal, his child like inoccent form.

He slowly exited the room without a word. He felt the power swirl inside of him.

Outside was his mother, Queen Toriel. "M-my child...!" She gasped. She ran forward and enveloped Asriel for a hug.

"I'm so, so, sorry..." She sobbed.

Asriel scowled from behind her back. 'No you aren't.'

"No, it's okay mom. I... understand." He said as he pronounced the last word venomously.

"We should go speak to your father, okay?" Toriel sobbed as she slowly stood up.

Asriel reached out his hand to stop her.

"No, mom! I want to... Talk to dad real quick. Like a father and son chat..." He said quickly with a small frown on his face.

Toriel's expression softened.

"Oh, Asriel. I am so, so sorry. She'll be with you forever, you know that, right?"

'No, she won't.' Asriel thought angrily.

"Y-yeah." He forced out.

"Go on, my child. Your father is in the hallway." Toriel gave him a weak smile before rushing into the throne room. Inside, she collapsed on the flowers and cried.

Asriel gritted his teeth. He knew what he had to do. He knew what he wanted to do.

'Just kill him and become king. It's easy.' Something inside him told him.

Asriel slowly trudged into the hallway. (A/N, the hallway is the judgement hall.)

There stood the mighty king. Asgore was looking out the window sadly.

"Dad." Asriel choked.

Asgore turned around and faced his son. His face turned sorrowful as he observed Asriel, hands balled up, and his eyes were glinting with fresh tears.

"Son. Is she...?" He asked.

Asriel looked down and nodded. But inside his head he was scoffing. They weren't even there, and yet they try to sympathize with him? 'What a bunch of idiots!' He thought.

"Son... I... I'm sorry." Asgore said in a quiet but sad tone.

"I know dad. I'm sure she's okay now. She's in no more pain. And... Y-You....You..." Asriel slowly raised his head to reveal his shining black eyes.

"Y O U ' R E  A B O U T  T O  D I E." He growled. His voice had changed into a deep, demonic tone.

"Son?" Asgore asked, shocked.

Asriel rose in the air, his gigantic wings and horns forming as his robe grew longer. Asgore wielded his trident as he stepped back.

Asgore realized what his son has done. He absorbed the human's soul. Asriel was now godlike, and Asgore could never defeat him.

He knew he wouldn't win.

"Sympathyzing with me when you weren't even there? Since when did you become such an idiot, Asgore?!"

Asriel attacked his father, who tried his best to dodge as much as he can. But he couldn't dodge even a fraction of it, and his HP dropped to 65/80

He stared at his son, horrified.

"Chara's dead! She's dead, dad! Don't you understand?! And it's because of us! It's ALL because of us that we're feeling this way!" Asriel yelled again.

Asgore blocked the attacks with his trident, but seemed to fail. 39/80

"Son! I do not wish to fight you! Let us mourn Chara together! You and I both know that she would never have wanted this!" Asgore tried reasoning with Asriel.

But that only made him increase his rage.

"You're right! She never would have wanted this. But it's what I want! And what I want, is you DEAD!" He screamed as he shot his Chaos Saber at him.

Asgore's HP dropped to 22/80

He dropped onto the ground, clutching his chest.

"Son... I love you... Please... Don't do this.." He pleaded.

Asriel smirked.

"Oh, the mighty king, pleading? Pleading to his own killer? What an idiot. You always were, Asgore! So just DIE!" He shouted as he blasted his magic attack at him.

"IDIOTS LIKE YOU DON'T EVER DESERVE TO LIVE!" He yelled as his father was on the ground, Asgore's tears flowing as he squeezed his eyes shut in pain.

He was being murdered by his own son, and there was nothing he could do about it. The pain was too agonizing. Asgore couldn't take it any longer. HP: 1/80

"....son... I... love...yo...." Asgore  whispered before slowly turning into dust.

Asriel dropped to the ground, satisfied. His horns and wings, however, stayed, and didn't dissapear.

He smiled proudly and walked out of the room, kicking away dust from his feet.

'Now for the other hypocrite.' He thought to himself.
