Chapter 15

A/N: Cheers to 2021 Fruity lovelies!
I hope everything is going well so far! Glad to see I'm still doing my part of updating more. I actually wanted this to go up right after the last chapie, but things happen. Aka a bunch of boring shit lol.
Anyhoo back to the story.
Enjoy!

Later on that evening the birdies were busy getting their Master ready for a benefit dinner. It was to raise funding for one of the hospitals he owned. The very one he found his Canary in. Hence why he was to accompany him.

"Master please, why do I have to go? I don't even work there anymore." Josh pleaded as he clipped on Brendon's cuff links.

"All the better you should go, catch up with old acquaintances." Brendon responded as he straightened his tie in the mirror. "Jacket Raven." He called out.

Dallon stepped up and carefully slipped on his suit jacket. Being sure that the handkerchief was folded to perfection. "Lovely as always Master." He smiled at Brendon, who gave him a pleasant smirk in return.

"Thank you sweetie, I can always count on your input. Shoes Songbird." The brunette then pushed Sarah away from lint rolling his slacks. "Enough of that Lark, you can suck me off later if you want it so bad but stop hovering now." Brendon huffed.

Sarah just frowned as she moved aside. She couldn't help but feel like their Master only seemed to have eyes for that useless boy. Ever since Tyler came she felt invisible to him.

"Master why don't you take Sarah, she's better at these events than me. Not to mention how much the investors love her presence." Josh continued to weasley his way out of this.

"Who cares what they think, I have more money than them. Besides how do you ever hope to grow if you don't try new things." Brendon had an answer for everything. He was trying to be patient with the yellow haired boy, but his whining was really getting on his nerves.

Tyler came with their Master's freshly hand polished italian leather loafers. He couldn't help the groans he made as he kneeled down to help the fabulously dressed man put them on.

"See Tyler's still in pain. You'll need me here in case things get worse." Josh stated. "Sarah there's still time why don't we get you in that pretty blue backless gown of yours." He concluded as he took her hand to walk out.

"GET YOUR ASSES BACK HERE!" Brendon shouted at them, even kicking Songbird away in his anger. They didn't even make it to the door before his voice tore through the silence. The two turned and quickly dropped their heads. Josh knew he'd just fucked up. "I run THIS HOUSE and I say WHO GOES and WHO STAYS, GOT IT!?" Their Master was now in the boy's face.

Josh and Sarah quickly nodded. Too afraid to speak. They both had felt Brendon's wrath before and they'd rather not wish for an encore tonight.

"Canary stop worrying about this. If anything happens I'm sure Raven can keep things in order til we return. Now finish getting dressed before I drag you to that dinner naked." Brendon's glare told of how serious he was. He then gave Lark a similar look, but one that spoke of pure torture. She gulped and stayed quiet.

"Yes Master." Josh said as he quickly rushed to get dressed fully. The boy was so sure his whining would work that he'd only had on a pair of slacks and an under shirt.

Tyler didn't know what to say as he tried his best not to add to the situation. Raven was there to help the boy back on his knees.

"My apologies Songbird where were we?" Their Master smiled softly, his tone changed entirely.

Sarah just crossed her arms and sighed. She used to get those sweet words and soft looks. Well to be honest Canary got them more than anyone in the house, but she still had her share. That is until "Songbird" came. Lark was beginning to hate the boy more each day.

Brendon, Dallon, and Tyler paid the girl sulking in the corner no mind. The small bird did his duty and stood up with the help of Raven.

"They're perfect Songbird, just like you." The Master pulled him in kissing him sweetly on the lips. Tyler blushed as such kisses brought him back to his days of his Mr. Wonderful.

Not long after Josh walked back in, dressed in a tux with matching yellow tie and handkerchief.

"I-I'm ready Master." He was so nervous, but he didn't really have a choice in the matter.

Everyone turned to him and smiled. Even in his nervous state Canary could captivate an audience. That's why Brendon loved him so much. He was just so special, he had to have him.

"You look incredible Canary." Brendon said as he walked over to kiss the boy's temple. "It'll be alright, I'll be with you tonight….all night" He whispered as his hand slid down to the yellow bird's ass.

"Y-yes Master." Josh moaned, blushing a deep red.

"It's Sir while we're out. And do hide your collar better lest you want me to fuck you on stage." Brendon joked as he fixed the younger's tux. Yet even his jokes were hard to laugh about given the man's unpredictability.

"P-please you can't!" Josh gasped as he tried to pull away. Their Master merely held him even tighter, giving the boy a hard glare not to speak further. "I'm sorry Sir, forgive my nervousness." He responded.

"I'll allow it….this time. Now we really should get going." Their Master took him downstairs. The rest of his birdies in tow.

"We will be home late so make sure you all eat." He spoke as Josh put on the man's coat.

"Yes Master." Raven, Lark, and Songbird replied. Some louder than others.

"In my absence I expect you all to behave, understand." Brendon gave them all a look that always instilled fear in them. Especially Tyler.

"Yes Master, I will see to it." Raven spoke up.

"Good boy and Raven I expect a hot bath on my return. I'll call you beforehand." He then kissed them all goodnight, taking Canary's arm and walking out.

The yellow bird looked back with much uncertainty. To which Raven gave him a soft smile before closing the door after them.

"I would've been great at that party tonight...what a bummer." Sarah pouted as she collapsed in the nearest chair.

"I'm sure you would have if Master had wanted you to go." Dallon responded in a monotone voice. The girl always complained when she felt she didn't get enough attention. He didn't know who was the bigger brat, her or Tyler. Well at least the boy was coming around.

"Why didn't Josh wanna go? It's just a party with old colleges right? I'm not the most sociable, but he acted like it was a death sentence." Tyler wondered aloud.

"Honestly how stupid can you be?" Sarah sneered at him with a look of annoyance.

Tyler didn't have a comeback for the random cattiness. Which was weird because he always had something. A snappy one liner, a gesture, even just storming off, but for some reason he just stood there. Maybe it was dumb to end up in a place like this where asking honest questions were frowned upon. It hurt all the same.

Dallon saw the sad look on his face and frowned. All Sarah wanted to do was be nasty to the poor kid over silly jealousy. Well not in his presence.

"Lark go check on dinner and you're on dish duty tonight." Raven ordered.

Lark gave him that standard response. "You're not the boss of me!" And then she promptly did as she was told. While she hated Dallon lording his power over them when their Master was gone, she knew full well the trouble it would cause if she ever did disobey orders.

Tyler sighed. Defeated and embarrassed. "Maybe it was dumb to ask…"

"Tyler it wasn't a bad question...it's just we all have things we'd rather not speak on." Dallon smiled sadly at him. Songbird was just about to ask him to elaborate on that before he took his arm and walked him to the dining room to eat.

                ________

In the car, Josh stared out the window. Silently fidgeting and praying not to be noticed tonight. But who was he kidding it was going to be a room full of people that hated him. Of course he'd be noticed. Not to mention walking in on the arm of the man in charge really wasn't the best way to go incognito.

"Stop biting sweetie or it's sure to start bleeding." Brendon gripped the boy's chin to make him look at him. It wasn't a tight grip, but enough pressure to get his demand met.

His Master was right because once he let up his bottom lip was slightly puffy with small cuts. Josh didn't even notice that he had bit down so hard. "S-sorry Sir...I-I guess I-"

"Shhhh I'm here Canary and nothing is gonna happen tonight. Just stay by my side." The brunette then pulled him in for a deep comforting kiss. The yellow haired boy easily latched on to him. He needed the added assurance.

Their kissing proceeded. Brendon pulled Josh on his lap, biting on his neck. The yellow bird moaned and held on tight to his Master's jacket. Neither of them wanted to stop but before they knew it, they were at the party.

"Let's get this over with so I can finish you off at home." Brendon growled in the boy's ear as he fixed his clothes. Josh blushing and doing the same.

There were cameras everywhere once they stepped out. All the socialites with big bucks was there to primarily show off. Charity being secondary as usual. Brendon wasn't a fan, but he knew better than anyone how to properly play the game.

The brunette held Josh around the middle as all the flashes from the local paparazzi tried to get the scoop on the billionaire's latest endeavor.

The party was the typical type. Mingle, drink, repeat until dinner is served. So boring, but Brendon knew it was for the better good. And work had to be done.

"I gotta go talk to a few people, you stay put til I come back." Brendon told Josh, handing him a drink to occupy him while he was gone.

"Yes Sir." Josh smiled and with a quick kiss on the lips he was left standing by himself. It was a huge turnout, the hall was packed with people. He could only imagine just how much money will be raised tonight. That thought made him happy, the medical field was his passion and he'd do all he could to help it flourish.

"Look what the cat dragged in, a pathetic little birdie." A voice giggled to the side of the yellow haired boy.

Josh knew that voice all too well, a voice he was hoping not to see tonight. His old boss, Dr. Lisa Cuddy.

"Oh what cat got your tongue too?" She moved in closer. "Or is it 'master'?" The woman laughed at him.

"Don't talk about my Sir. He has nothing to do with this." Josh defended as he did his best to ignore her ramblings.

"Oh so it's Sir when you're in public? Heh, I know your kind and your father must be turning in his grave at how his star pupil, his legacy is nothing more than a rich man's little bitch." Lisa frowned at the boy.

"I am no such thing!" Josh grit his teeth as he tried to keep it together.

"Then what do you call this?" She pulled his shirt collar down to expose his dark purple collar. "I'd say you're his bitch, but who could blame him. You've always been weak. Might as well have fun right?" Lisa gave an evil smirk. She was always good at causing him pain.

"I-I'm not w-weak. I'm a damn good doctor a-and you know it" Josh's voice trembled as he tried to hold back the tears.

"Let's get one thing clear. You only got here because of your father's name and now you're nothing more than a disgrace." She hissed as she put the final nail in the coffin.

Josh threw his glass down and ran to the bathroom. He cried his eyes out in the back stall. Never in all this time did he stop to think about how his lifestyle choices could affect his family's name. His father was a prestigious figure in the medical world. A top scholar and physician. Only to end up with a son who gave it all up to be a pet to a rich socialite. He sobbed harder.
