It's not even been two days. Two days ago Flash had beaten Peter to pulp. Why? He couldn't remember, probably because he had failed another test that Peter had aced.
It was kind off unnerving, seeing Peter stand there with a small child in his arms glaring at a man. The class was silent. Nobody intervened. Nobody had too.

The class had taken a field trip to Harlem. Harlem had a lot of history concerning Afro-American and with that being the main interest of the history lessons of this past semester, it was no surprise that the field trip would be here. They had been walking around town, visiting and studying various buildings and streets. Two girls were talking about Hairspray and gushing about how they should let the history teacher watch this musical with them because it was so closely linked to the lessons. Flash and his goonies were goofing around and sneering at the teacher. Before walking towards their favorite punching bags.

MJ was in the middle of telling Peter and Ned about some famous women that helped making this possible when Flash appeared.

"Ey, Penis, maybe they should take the same rules as then but against puny nerds and their friends." He elbowed a mate while laughing. Peter simply ignored him and continued listening to MJ.

"Oy, Penis, don't ignore me." He grabbed Peter and pulled him against the wall. Peter looked him dead in the eye, seemingly bored.

"What is it Flash?" he asked while he surpressed a yawn. Yawning would not help his situation. Luckily the teacher intervened with a lecture about the nearest building. Flash looked at Peter meaningly before walking after the teacher. The next street was busy, a lot of people walking by, grabbing taxi's and running towards their jobs.

All alone, a small girl sat against the corner of some house, frightened she looked around her. The class saw a lot of people just walking past her, sparing a glance. Some stopped, hesitated before continuing. The teacher was about to continue when Peter hesitantly stepped towards her. He crossed the streat without looking and made his way towards her.
"Peter come back!" the teacher whisper screamed. Frantically looking around her. The class quieted down, finally noticing Peter at the other side of the busy street.

"Hey there Little one." he said gently. The girl settled her two big brown eyes on him. She pushed more against the wall.
"I'm not going to hurt you, I want to help you. See, I got nothing to hurt you." He smiled. The girl hesitated before searching him. Peter patiently let her touch him and search him. Then she broke down crying, clinging around Peter's neck. The force of the jump only would have made anyone fall to the ground but Peter just held her. The class was silent. Bypassers stopped to watch and a girl from Peter's class was recording the thing from her phone.

"Can you tell me your name please?"
Peter asked when the girls sobs quieted down.
"My name is Viola, I'm six." She shyly answered. Still hiccupping.
"What a lovely name you have miss Viola, my name is Peter."
The girl giggled before looking up to him with wonder in her eyes.
"Like Peter Pan?" Peter's eyes softened.
"Exactly. Can you tell me what happened?" the girl shivered and Peter hugged her closer to his body.

"My parents don't want to wake up. I came home after playing with a friend and they just layed down on the ground. Their clothes were red and they wouldn't wake up! Then the police came and told me they would not come back. They wanted to take me to my uncle but I don't want to so as soon as my uncle didn't pay attention I ran away."

Peter smiled sadly at her. He knew the feeling, he was not much younger then her when his parents were murdered.
"Brave girl, why don't you want to stay with your uncle."

"He's mean." she didn't elaborate but Peter noticed the fading bruises on her arms and said nothing.
"Are you going to save me?"
Her eyes shone with innocence and trust.

"I'll help you as much as I can."

"Can you bring me to mama and papa?" Peter smiled softly.

"You're mama and papa are on a trip, to a far away country. They are making it perfect for you for when you'll join them."

"Can I join now?" She asked. Peter smiled. "No my dear, you have to grow big and strong first."
"I'm not strong." She muttered. Peter frowned down on her.
"My parents did exactly the same thing when I was young. They also went to that country when I was 5 years old. And my uncle and aunt took me in. They told me to stay strong and be kind to help people and that I could see my parents after that."
The girl looked at Peter with so much wonder in her eyes that he nuzzled her.

The class was quiet, they had never seen Peter act like that. And they never knew that his parents were murdered. Ned smiled proudly at his friend and MJ smiled softly. Nobody intervened.

"But I'm not big and strong like you." she said. Peter grinned. A playful tone entered his voice.
"Oh, I bet you are. I bet you can bring me down in a fight, I bet you are stronger then me." she giggled.
"Not."
"Okay then, attack me." Viola looked questioningly at him. Peter nodded and encouraged her. She grinned and jumped on him. Peter dramatically fell down.

"Oh no, woe is me, I've been bested by the great and powerful Viola." The girl laughed. For the first time since the class had seen her she laughed.

Flash started to comment on how Parker was the weakest being he knew but MJ shut him up quickly with a glare.

Peter stood up and lifted the girl before swirling around.
"Now, Let's get you to safety."

"To Neverland?" She asked. Peter smiled. "To Neverland."

"Let the girl go." a gruff voice snarled. Viola hid in Peter's arms and Peter turned around. His arms shielding the girl and his glare on the man.

"I'm her uncle. She'll come home with me." The man tried to sugercote. "I was so worried about her.

"I don't think so." Peter coldly stated.
The crowd that had gathered watched them stand in front of the other. The class flinched, never having heard Peter so cold. More and more people started to film this. MJ herself as well. She knew it wasn't correct but if the man was as bad as he seemed, this could be the proof they need to lock him up.

"You don't have anything to think boy, I'm her legal gardian. Give her to me, she will be safe with me." The man tried again, slowly losing his calm.

"Please don't leave me Peter." Peter felt these words, she had the same fear as he had, to be deserted, left all alone.

"Never Viola. We're going to Neverland remember, I promised."
He turned to the man.

"She doesn't want to go with you."

The man lost his patience. He began to walk meanacely towards Peter and the girl. "The brat belongs to me boy, and if you want to stay alive you better give her to me."

Peter didn't even budge. He calmly stared back at him, subconsciously placing his body in front of the girl.
"You won't hurt her ever again."

"She is under my command, If she misbehaves, she needs to be punished." Peter glared darkly at the man. The man flinched before moving in to grab the girl. Peter twirled around and avoided the man.

The man growled and tried to punch again. Punch after punch he threw towards Peter and Peter just kept avoiding the hits.

"Stop avoiding me, she's my property." The man whispered something after that that nobody seemed to catch but Peter growled. When the man tried to punch again, Peter caught the throw with one hand and brought the man down. Soon the man lay on the ground, groaning in pain.

"Don't you dare ever lay a hand on her again." Police sirens were heard over the streets. Someone had called the police.

MJ dutifully showed the video to the policeman who braugst the man towards the judge immediately.

The little girl hugged Peter and thanked him when the man was gone.
"You are my hero, Peter, you are better then Peter Pan."
Peter smiled. It felt good, being able to help people without the suit. To not feel worthless with it.

"You were the bravest Viola, without you, I couldn't have helped."
The girl smiled so widely. Peter left her with a caretaker. A young women promised that she would make sure the child grew up in a worthy healthy and happy family.

Peter smiled after the girl when the girl walked away hesitantly. She suddenly turned around and ran towards him again.
"Thank you for showing me Neverland." she whispered. Then she ran towards the lady and disappeared.

Peter's smile would stay on his face for a few more days after that.
