Edd stretched only to be interrupted by another text from Matt. It was a photo of Matt doing the dumb half heart thing. Edd chuckled, he though it was stupid but he sent one back.

Edd sighed in relief getting back to his drawing, Matt was his best friend but nothing got in the way of his drawing time. As he drew he glanced at the clock, it seemed to be going so fast. He looked up the last time, he had ten minutes. He threw his pencil across the room and pulled on his hoodie.

Edd ran clumsily down the road not having put his shoes on properly, he stopped to catch his breath at the rusting green entrance to the park. "Edd?" Edd turned to face the ginger of similar height. "oh *huff* hey Matt *huff*".

Matt grinned "Hey Edd, I have something to.... never mind follow me". The breathless teen followed his perky ginger friend to a bench by a pond. Edd sat down first catching his breath, Matt nervously sat down next to him kicking the dirt under him. "So Edd..." Edd looked at Matt. 

"I have something for you" Edd smiled sightly confused. Matt grabbed a yellow flower from behind his back and held it out for Edd nervously. Edd's eyes widened and he looked at Matt. "Do you want to uh, go...out Edd?" Matt said nervously, Edd could tell this was now joke Matt never got nervous well other than in math when the teacher picked him for a question.

Edd's grin grew wider and wider, "Sure!" he almost screamed hugging his new companion. Matt hugged back.
