note: Floyd has a breakdown over another zero written on a test.

Another one.

Floyd's pale hands gripped the white sheets of papers tightly, scrunching it. He slouched over his desk. Why can't I be like Jade? He doesn't get zeros. He doesn't fail like I do-

"Fuck!" He almost screamed, forcing himself up. He released the red marked papers and swept them off the surface with his long spanned arm. They tumble off easily, further littering his room. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!"

"Bad boy! You didn't fill this out at all!"

I didn't feel like it.

"Leech, I'm disappointed."

That's not my fault.

"Hah?! Is that all you can do on the field? Leech, I've seen you do better than this!"

I run as fast as I want to.

"Floyd! You made Mostro Lounge lose a customer!"

They made a fool of themselves.

"Isn't it funny how our personalities don't match up at all, Floyd?"

Jade.

Floyd's hands curled up at his sides. Tears welled up in his different colored eyes. They drop to the chair he sat in moments earlier. His hands shoots towards it and— With great strength, he lifts it up and tosses the chair against the opposite wall. It splinters into wooden pieces, scattering itself instantly on impact.

A sob rips from his throat. He takes a few steps forward only to slip on one of his shirts. Floyd flails and tries to catch himself on where his chair used to be. He ends up falling flat on his behind, hitting his head on his desk harder than he thought he would. "Shit! Fuck, that hurt!" Floyd sobs again, rubbing the back of his head.

The sound of his quiet crying filled the silence of the room. Floyd fell onto his side and curled in on himself. He hesitantly wrapped his arms around his torso. "I am loved. I am loved," he repeated quietly. "I am loved. I am loved."

Outside the door, Jade paused mid-knock. His eyes dropped to the knob of the door, then to his feet.

I'm sorry, Floyd.

Jade took a small step forward and gently pressed his forehead against the wooden door, making no noise as he did so.
