Chapter 16:(I Miss You Too)

"...Hey sleepyhead! Wakey wakey..."

"...Maria Renee Sourray Ouellet I'm talking to you..."

"...Oh my god! Fire! Fire! Run for your lives!"

Maryse unwillingly opened her eyes. The once sleeping blonde let out a loud yawn before she sat up in the bed to see where the yelling, that woke her up, was coming from. After rubbing her eyes, her vision soon started to become clearer. The nagging voice could only belong to one person. That one person was standing before her, literally standing over her once sleeping body.

Barbara Eve Joanne Sourray Blank !!!! (Kelly Kelly).

"I should have known," Maryse mumbled.

"Oh, Maryse ! You're awake!" Kelly happily noted. With her goal over with her half sister jumped off the bed Maryse was laying on to go sit on the couch that was in the hotel room. "I was starting to think that you might have been dead. I was trying to wake you up for about ten minutes now!"

Maria rolled her eyes at her best friend/half sister aka clossies. Now a little more awake Maryse looked around the dark hotel room to find the clock. Her eyes bugged out when she saw the alarm clock, with red writing saying '3:27 A.M.'. "Oh my god, look at the time! Do you not remember what we have to do today?"

Kelly simply nodded her head. "Of course I remember... Michelle and Chris are going to get married!" Kelly giggled thinking the situation was funny for some reason. "Thank god for that, Michelle is the most annoying bride-to-be EVER! All she's been doing lately is bitching and complaining about how her wedding has to be perfect. It's really starting to get old. Doesn't she know how annoying she is?"

"Speaking of annoying..." Maryse interrupted her sister. "Why did you wake me up? Shouldn't you be sleeping... like I was moments ago?"

The bitchiness in Maryse's voice was quite clear but Kelly chose not to hear it. "Hey..." The First Money In A Bank Winner at a Ladder Match against Men stopped to point in the direction of the empty space next to Maryse. "Where's Miz?"

Maria looked at the unused spot next to her in the bed. "Probably in the gym like he usually is." A tiny sigh escaped her lips. He always seemed to find a 24 hour gym in every city they were in. He could care less about sleep. He always said sleep was for the lazy. "Wait... how did you get in here?" Maryse asked after remembering that she no longer shared rooms with Kelly  anymore. Since The Miz had been moved to Smackdown, Maryse had been rooming with him. Although it was nice that Maryse had some peace and quiet, since Miz hadn't been speaking all that much to her...

Maryse had to admit... she missed her sister.

Although times like now, weren't helping that revelation.

"Sweetie, it's not that hard to break into a hotel room." Kelly giggled while Maryse gave a "WTF?" expression.

"Um, first of all that's scary as hell that you know how to do that," Maryse said cautiously, pointing one finger in Kelly's direction. "...And secondly how come when we roomed together you always lost the key but never did this little magical trick that you have?"

Kelly tilted her head a little as she thought about her answer. After a few quiet moments the brunette just shrugged her shoulders. "Well, it was always more fun for you to get angry and have to go down to the front desk. I mean if you think about it though I kind of helped you out. I know you're pregnant Maryse but you're sort of on the chubby side." Kelly nodded her head as Maria gasped. "So... basically I just helped you get some exercise."

"Okay whatever," Maryse rolled her eyes. "There is no way I'll ever be able to understand how your mind works so this conversation isn't even worth my time." Maryse took the duvet off her body and got up to get a bottle of water from the miniature fridge. "So... mind telling me why you committed a criminal defense; breaking into my hotel room, and woke me up? I hope it's really important since you did all that."

"Oh, it is." Kelly nodded her head and grinned. "It is."

"Now is this like a normal person's definition of important or is it you, Eve-gives-me-a-headache-Torres', definition of important?"

"Um... I think it's really important so..."

"So it's your definition of important... Great." Maryse said sarcastically with a good eye roll.

"Maria, can I just puh-leasseee tell my story?" Kelly whined like a toddler. Maryse only sighed, which Kelly had known by now that it meant that her sister doesn't care but she'll pretend to care anyway. "Okay well I was about to go to sleep when Ted knocked on my door and asked me to go for a walk with him." Kelly stopped her story to smile happily like a love struck teenager.

Maryse could only groan. Ever since Natalya made up the lie that Ted was flirting with Maria, Kelly had gone on a rampage and claimed Ted all to herself. Finally Kelly and Ted were sort of seeing each other. Nothing was official yet but at least it was leading to that.

Kelly was beyond thrilled at the latest progressions. That was quite obvious from all the glowing and happy sighs she would randomly drop. Which had been annoying Maryse as of late.

"Kelly," Maryse couldn't help but to interrupt after a few minutes of Kelly creepily smiling at the wall. "Can you please stop staring off to la la land so you can get to the purpose to this story please?" Kelly snapped out of her happy place to look back at Maryse. "I would like to go back to sleep at some point before I have to wake up to tend to Bridezilla."

"Fine, fine." Kellynthrew her hands into the air defensively." Okay where was I... um... oh yeah! Matt had come to my hotel room and asked me to take a walk with him. Of course I said yes. 'Cause duh, why would I say no? That would just be foolish. Anyway, we walked outside by the park across the street and something huge happened between us..."

"Did he finally ask you to be his girlfriend?" Maryse yawned, putting her hand up to her open mouth.

"No but it's just as huge as that!" Kelly squealed. Even Kellys excitement couldn't help Maryse  from yawning again. It took every ounce out of her not to lie back down on the bed.

"What was just as huge as that?"

"As we were walking we were holding hands and all of a sudden his fingers moved..." Kelly stopped as if she was trying to stop at a suspenseful part. Kelly  failed miserably as Maryse just  stared back with no care. "Ted and I have upgraded our hand holding situation, from the cup version," the antsy blonde  stopped to demonstrate by putting her hands together to show the cup hand holding. "...To the finger lace."

Maryse watched as Kelly  still putting her hands together to formed cup hand holding, and moved her fingers so they intertwined. Kelly's face lit up after she was finish with her demonstration. Maryse was now frozen. She didn't even bother blinking.

After a minute of that Maria rapidly blinked her eyes. Finding the urge to speak, she cleared her throat. "You... woke me... up... for THAT?" Kelly  jumped back when Maryse yelled out the last part. "It is three thirty-six in the MORNING! It's bad enough that I'm a pregnant with my  maid of honor, but I did not, repeat not—"

"Not."

"...Need to lose any sleep which would make me look like a zombie at the wedding!"

"A pregnant zombie..." Kelly giggled furiously. "That has to be some plotline to a horrible movie."

"Kelly," Maryse raised her voice making Kelly stop giggling like a schoolgirl. "Do you seriously not see how stupid and not to mention pointless this conversation was?"

"Pointless? Maryse,  Ted and I now intertwine our fingers! That's some major physical contact." Kelly nodded her head in a serious manner. "Wow, this relationship is really starting to get serious..."

"Serious? Relationship? No honey, just no. You're not even in a relationship with him yet! You're just casually seeing him..."

"And we're holding hands!" Kelly  felt the need to add.

Which Maryse felt the need to roll her eyes. "Oh yes how could I forget that? After all it was a huge step."

"It was! I'm so glad you understand now."

"Kelly, just stop speaking. Please your stressing me and it's gonna be bad for your baby niece and nephew ?" Marryse asked getting up from the bed again.

"Aww, but this is an important milestone in my life!"

"I'm having a baby and their twins, that's a milestone but hey sure you holding hands—"

"Intertwining our fingers!" Kelly interrupted her friend.

"Sorry, intertwining your fingers with Ted is just as important. Can we please have this conversation another time?" Maryse asked as she slipped on her flip flops and grabbed her hotel room key from the nightstand. "I'm having a craving for something chocolate."

"Then you should eat a bar of chocolate then Maryse." Kelly blurted out, along with a 'DUH!' expression.

"Yeah no kidding! That was my way of kicking you out so hit the highway." Maryse motioned her hands out the open door she was holding.

Kelly jumped off her spot on the couch, "Oh I have a better idea! How about I come with you?"

"Let's not and say you did."

"Nah, that's just plain stupid."

"So is waking up someone at 3 A.M. because they went to 1st base." Maryse mumbled as Kelly obliviously followed her out of the room.

~X-O-X-O-X-O-X-O~

Finally ditching Eveby the elevators, whom insisted on pushing every single floor number, (there were 14 of them!) Maryse had darted out of it once they reached a floor and headed for the stairs. Now happily on her own, Maryse made her way to the pool area.

She knew the hotel diner was closed cause of the time but she remembered seeing a vending machine earlier. Surely she would find something in there to satisfy her chocolate craving. So then she could go back to sleeping, well the few hours she had left of it.

Once the current backstage interviewer had reached her destination, and finding the remembered machine, Maryse had a light smile tug her lips.

With a choice made, Maryse stuck her dollar into the machine and pressed the correct button for the item. The only problem was that instead of the candy bar coming down, the wrapper of it got caught on its slot, still in the machine.

"Nooo!" Maryse whined, repressing the button repeatedly. Of course that didn't help it fall down.

Just her luck...

All I wanted was my damn chocolate so I could go back to sleep!

"Come on!" Maryse groaned. Hitting the button clearly wasn't working so she went to the next best option... hitting the glass on the machine.

"I could be wrong," Maryse jumped back after being startled by a new familiar voice behind her began speaking. "...But I'm pretty sure you have to put money in for something to come out."

Maryse playfully rolled her eyes as she turned to John, "Really? I never knew that."

"Yep," he chuckled as he dug through his Jean pockets to find some change. "It's amazing, all you have to do is put the money in this little slot," Maryse silently giggled as he put a few quarters into the coin slot before pressing the button she had done moments before. Her item of choice soon fell down, along with another one that was from John 's money. "And ta-da! There you have your candy bar!"

John had a huge grin on his face as he handed the Hershey Bar to Maryse.

"Thanks." Maryse sheepishly grinned.

"No problem, stranger." John licked his lips, removing his smile before he went on, "So guess what? I know this girl, who after a drunken night, I sorta kinda got her pregnant-"

"Sorta?" Maryse interrupted with a laugh. "Have you seen my stomach? It looks like I'm stealing a watermelon under my shirt!"

Jeff let out a soothing chuckle. "As I was saying, ever since this girl's boyfriend came over to the Smackdown brand, she has been a stranger. I barely see her anymore."

"Ugh, how rude." Maryse mocked herself. "So what are you trying to say, Johnny?"

"Nothing really," he shrugged as he nervously stuffed his hands into his pockets. A beat later he confidently smiled. "I just miss her."

Maryse melted right then and there. She knew she was blushing since her cheeks were getting hotter by the second. She also knew she was smiling like a fool. She quickly shook it off.

"I'm sorry, John I really am." Maryse sighed  and ran a hand through her tangled locks of hair. "It's not like I mean to ignore you- because I would never do that..."

Maryse twitched her lips and sadly looked to the ground. John was right; they've barely seen each other over the week, where before they would spend just about the whole day with each other.

"I guess Mike has just kept me busy."

That was also true. Mike had made plans for Maryse every day. From taking her out to restaurants for meals or making her come with to the arena to watch him train, Mike had made her come everywhere with him. It was pretty boring since Mike didn't talk too much to her. But it didn't seem like she had the choice not to come with him.

"Of course he has." John said with a roll of the eyes.

Sensing the bitterness in his tone, Maryse sighed. "I'm sorry about what happened at the pay-per-view. I feel really bad."

"It's okay Maryse it's not your fault."

"I just wish everyone could get along, you know? You both are very important to me."

John  smiled and pulled Maryse in for a half hug. "I know, I know. I'm sorry."

Releasing his grip on Maryse she went on. "I know you two are in a tough situation but you don't have to punch his face every time you see him."

A smirk overtook John's face then as he proudly asked, "Right, I almost forgot about that nice little shiner around his eye. Is it still there? Please tell me it's still there?"

"John" Maryse whined at John, whom was so proud of the mark he left on Miz. "It's not funny! You know Michelle's wedding rehearsal is tomorrow and he's gonna have to show up like that. You're lucky he isn't in the wedding party because else I think Michelle would have a stroke and the wedding is very big that it might take a few months but she plans mo make our baby the ring bearer for her another wedding so it's gonna be a little short and she wants him away cause she wanted it to be short but precious."

"Fine, fine!" John through his arms in the air defensively. "I'm sorry. From now on I'll keep my hands to my sides whenever I'm blessed to be in his highness' presence-"

"John !"

"I'm done, I swear!" John chuckled but soon stopped after seeing Maryse giving him an unpleasant look. "You win Maryse. I'll tell you what, at the wedding tomorrow I'll be friendly to him."

"And will you apologize?" She asked hopeful.

"Apologize? Are you kidding? If anyone should apologize it should be Mike! The guy-" He stopped himself once again because of the look Maryse was giving him. He just couldn't dare to see her in pain. He let out a small groan as he ran his hand through his hair. "I'll consider it..."

"Thank you." Maryse smiled in victory, giving John a small hug. "Now I feel a little better about tomorrow."

"Speaking of which, if I remember correctly you have to get up really early to tend to Michelle for some maid of honor duties, am I right?"

"Yes! I gotta get back to bed; I have to get up in three hours. If I don't get more sleep I'm going to have bags under my eyes for the wedding. Michelle will kill me if I look like a mess!"

"Well come on I'll walk you back to your room." John held out his arm, which Maryse happily took, hooking their arms together as he escorted her towards the elevator. Luckily for them Kelly was no longer on her little ride to each floor.

"Hey by the way," Maryse asked as they together stepped out of the elevator onto her floor. "What are you doing up at this time? Does no one sleep anymore?"

John chuckled, "I couldn't sleep. I've got a lot on my mind lately..." The now former champion cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject. "How about you though? I know I don't know a lot about parenting but I really don't think you're being the best Mother with having our kid up at this time."

"Hey!" Maryse responded to his joke with a playful punch to his shoulder. "For your information I got woken up by Kelly because of something your cousin Ted did."

"Oh, did he finally ask her to be his girlfriend?"

"I wish! But nope... They are now holding hands... intertwined." She made sure to add the last "important" detail.

"...what?" John laughed.

"Yep! Isn't that awesome news? Like really we should hold a press conference for that." Maryse laughed along with John. "But in all seriousness those two really need to get together already. Can you talk to Matt and tell him to do something about it. Cause obviously Eve can't make the first move."

The duo reached her room as John nodded his head.

"Alright I'll try. As long as you promise me something."

"What's that?" Maryse curiously asked.

"That tomorrow at the wedding rehearsal you'll hang out with me so I'm not a total loner."

"Deal!" Maryse smiled at John while she opened the door. "Thank you for helping me downstairs. You're always there when I need you."

"Anytime, Maryse." With a wink towards Maryse, they said their goodbyes. Maryse walking into her room, and John going down the hall to his.

"Oh and John ?"

Not too far from Maryse, Johnquickly turned back to Maryse whom had her head peaked out the open door. "I miss you too."

The blonde diva then gave him a wink of her own before shutting the door.

John bit the bottom of his lip, proceeding to walk back to his room. Now alone John could only do one thing...

And that was having a huge smile on his face.
