One month later...

A month passes by in a jiffy. Jungkook has been busy with his physiotherapy sessions along with working on the case. The police allowed him to release the video he shot earlier so he was able to bring the matter in the eyes of the public soon. Of course he had blurred out the faces of all his friends and himself.

Everyone was shocked to know that something like this was going on in Seoul for such a long time and the media didn't even come to know about  it let alone talk about it. This incident soon became a hot topic of discussion among people and everyone followed it closely, making Jungkook more popular than he already was.

When Jungkook talked to the gang leader, he found out why his brother had kidnapped Taehyung six years ago. It was because the leader of the other gang was paid a huge amount of money to do that by a high ranking special forces officer. It was during the time Taehyung's father was going to be promoted to be the chief but since the other man was hungry for power, he bribed the gang and shook hands with the leader to get Taehyung kidnapped.

Taehyung's father was in charge for catching the gang but because his own son got kidnapped, his hands were tied down. He couldn't do much knowing that his son's life is in the hands of those horrible monsters. The case got more complex and the son if the biggest business tycoon of Korea, Jeon Jungkook, got kidnapped too. Taehyung's father was considered inefficient and not promoted to be the chief.

The corrupt man who had bribed the gang became the chief then but he backstabbed the gang and got them arrested as soon as he became the chief. Because, one, he wanted to prove that he was more efficient than Taehyung's father. Two, he didn't want the gang members to open their mouths.

When Jungkook asked the gang leader why he is telling him all this- confessing everything about the kidnapping, drugs and prostitutions, the man said he has nothing to lose now.

Jungkook unraveled everything. It was hard for everyone, specially Taehyung and Jimin. But everything was finally over now. The corrupt officer got arrested and Jimin's court hearing was also in his favor. He was proven not guilty because it was proven that he was forced to deliver drugs. He also got no share with the profits and no payment to do it whatsoever. The videos of Jimin being threatened were also found so the court decided that the pink haired boy wasn't at fault at all. It was just a few days ago when Jungkook finally decided to talk to Jimin about the matter. He was really angry at him but he did not let his anger control him and saved Jimin from the mess first. When everything was finally over, he demanded answers from his younger brother.

He asked him why he didn't trust him enough and tell him about his problems and all Jimin could say was that he didn't want to burden Jungkook with his stuff as he is already doing a lot for him. But the ravenette argued that he could have solved the problem because he had the power and sources to do so and no one would have gotten hurt in the end. Jimin also stated that even Jungkook didn't trust him and kept his identity a secret. They argued for hours straight but then Namjoon told them that both of them were in the wrong and they should just forgive each other and not keep secrets anymore. They agreed to this and now they are all happy with their trouble free life.

Today is a special day for them. Taehyung had accepted the offer by HYBE corporation and auditioned for the talent hunt show too. He had been selected and the talent hunt show is starting today. To say Taehyung is nervous is an understatement but everyone has been cheering him on a lot. Yoongi, Seokjin and Namjoon gave him a pep talk too while Jungkook and Jimin took him out for a walk in the morning and they had breakfast together as well.

Taehyung has been busy since past few days. He is now supposed to live in a dorm until the talent show ends or he gets eliminated. So when he could make some time out for his brother, boyfriend and friends, he was happy. They charged his battery and they would be here for the show as well.

"You look nervous, Kim." Lee Taeyong, one of the seven participants of the talent hunt show says.

"I'm not." Taehyung says. Yoongi had told him earlier that he should not show his weakness to anyone. He shouldn't confide and get too close to anyone. After all everyone wants to win and some of them won't hesitate to use unfair means to step on him and drag him down.

"Come on, it shows on your face."

"Taeyong, just because I chose to ignore doesn't mean I didn't hear you making a fuss about the music as you couldn't catch up with the beats."

"Oh shut up. It was three days ago and I'm doing more than good now. Worry about yourself. Don't get eliminated in the first round itself." Taeyong smirks.

"Our names sound the same and I'm pretty sure whatever votes you'll get will be because people will confuse you, Lee Taeyong to me, Kim Taehyung. But bro, just because your name sounds like mine doesn't mean your voice does too." Taehyung tilts his head and raises his eyebrows, a teasing smile plays on his lips. Taeyong gets shocked by his attitude and leaves after mumbling "Whatever."

Taehyung is proud of himself. These are a few things he has learnt from Jungkook and even though he prefers staying the way he is, he feels like he needs to put the skills he learnt from his boyfriend to use so that he can put people who try to make him feel belittled in place.

Since the contestants of the talent hunt show have been revealed, Taehyung became very popular. The number of followers he has on Instagram have increased drastically. His parents are proud of him and happy that he is finally doing what he wants to do in life.

It's finally evening, an hour before the first performance. His heart beats wildly in his chest but he calms himself down. It's not his first time being on stage and communicating with masses. Sure this is different from being an announcer but he believes in himself now. Everyone close to him believes in him and he chooses to do the same.

He can hear the audience at the backstage and he decides to distract himself for the time being otherwise he would get nervous. He takes his phone out and starts scrolling through his Instagram. He sees a picture Jungkook posted a few minutes ago.

Taehyung smiles at picture. He immediately gets the message the older wants to convey. It's a message for him and he is very happy about it. He feels a different kind of energy rush through his body after seeing this.

He sees various messages from his brother, parents, friends and the members of the broadcasting club who are wishing him luck for his performance. He takes a few deep breaths when he finally hears his name being announced on the stage.

When he steps on the stage, the spotlight falls on him. He hears the crowd screaming his name and it's his first performance only. The music starts playing and he starts singing.

'Where's my angel

Draping the end of the day

Someone come and save me, please

Just a sigh of a tiring day

People are all happy

Can you look at me? 'Cause I am blue and gray'

He hears the sound of people cheering and clapping already and it encourages him a lot. People are liking what he's doing. He moves around the stage while singing, sometimes going near the audience and almost driving them crazy.

'Oh this ground feels so heavier

I am singing by myself

In the distant future, when I laugh

I would tell you

Words floating in the air

I secretly picked it up and contained it

Now I fall asleep good night'

The song comes to an end and the applauds for Taehyung doesn't seem to stop. He smiles happily and goes back to the backstage and watches the performances of the other contestants.

After two hours, it's finally time to announce the 'Best Performer of the Day'. Taehyung's heart beats loudly. He closes his eyes and waits for the host to take the name.

"And the performer of the day is... Lee Taeyong." The host announces and Taeyong shouts happily, as if he didn't expect it. Taehyung smiles and congratulates him. He cannot let people see how disappointed he is. He hugs Taeyong for the sake of the camera and the show comes to an end soon after all the contestants make a vote appeal.

Later, Taehyung goes back to his dorm and plops on the bed. He opens his phone and sees that his Instagram is flooded with comments from thousands of people telling him how good he sang. This makes him feel better and he gets determined to work even harder from now on. He then comes across JK's post.

Taehyung is shocked by this post. He knew Jungkook wanted to do a face reveal soon but he wasn't expecting it to be this soon. The comment section is going crazy and so is Taehyung. He is just too excited for this. He has waited for this for so long and even though Taehyung knows who JK is, he wants to see the real thing.

Idk how to feel about this chapter. Maybe it's boring but it was needed to tell you all what actually happened. I didn't want to get into the legal stuff in detail lmao.
