"I'm so s-scared, h-hyung." Taehyung says in a small voice while still looking down. Jungkook squeezes his hand gently and puts one of his fingers under his chin making him look up at him.

"Do be scared, Taehyung. I'm here. I won't let anything bad happen to you." He says with a smile that actually soothes the younger a little bit. He makes soothing circles at the back of the younger's hand and feels him relaxing in his touch.

(^correction: don't be scared)

"Jungkook, the nurse is here." The librarian suddenly appears along with the nurse of their university's infirmary. As soon as Taehyung sees the nurse, Jungkook sees all his efforts going in vain. The younger glares at the nurse with tears that threaten to fall from his eyes anytime.

"Come on, Taehyung, I can help you." The nurse says with a kind smile. Taehyung gulps as the woman inches closer to him. He sees that she is holding a syringe in her hand. His eyes widen at the sight. He starts breathing hard as he whispers, "N-No.... No! No, no! Stay away!"

Jungkook and the librarian are shocked again but the nurse maintains her calm. She again tries to move closer to the boy with the syringe containing the tranquilizer in her hand. "No, please. Please don't do this to me. Please stay away."

"Taehyung, she is doing it for your own good." Jungkook says as he tries holding the younger. But Taehyung pushes him away. He abruptly stands up and runs towards the exit of the library. The ravenette looks towards the door helplessly and turns towards the nurse and the librarian.

"I'm sorry. I think I'll just take him home or something. I'll call his family too. I guess that should help." Jungkook says while taking Namjoon's bag, ready to follow the younger.

"But he needs my help." The nurse says.

"But he doesn't want you. I had actually managed to calm him down a bit and I think I can do that again. Sorry for bothering both of you." He says and dashes out of the room. He quickly starts looking for the younger but he cannot find him.

"Taehyung!" He calls out his name as he checks all the nearby rooms. Where did he go? He wonders running a hand through his hair. He then spots a group of girls and decides to ask them. "Hey, have you seen Taehyung?" He asks once he is closer to them.

"Who's that?" One of the girls asks.

"Uh... he is-" Jungkook is interrupted by another girl who says, "Are you talking about that blonde hottie? The one who hangs out with Jimin and doesn't spare a glance at me?"

"Well, I'm not sure about the last part but he is blonde and he indeed hangs out with Jimin." Jungkook says, urgency is clearly evident in his voice.

"I think I saw him going towards the washroom." The girl says. Jungkook hurriedly thanks her and starts running again.

Once he reaches the washroom, he sees the boy staring at himself in the mirror. He looks very scared when he finally glances at Jungkook. As the ravenette takes a step closer to the blonde boy, Taehyung takes a step back and this continues until his back touches the wall. Jungkook is now standing very close to the younger boy making his heart beat violently in his chest.

"Taehyung!" He calls him, trying to bring him out of the trance.

"Please leave me alone." The blonde boy whimpers.

"I can't. I promised you that I'd help you."

"No! You called a fucking nurse." Taehyung suddenly yells, "You think I'm crazy. I'm not crazy. I'm perfectly fine."

"Hey, Tae!" Jungkook moves his hands to cup the younger's cheeks only to get pushed away again.

"Stay the fuck away from me!" Taehyung screams, "You are a liar. You are just like them. You think I'm crazy and you want to cure me. I'm not crazy. I'm just a normal boy."

"Yes, you're a normal boy, Tae. I-I don't t-think you're crazy. You're such a calm and peaceful person." Jungkook says wondering who is them Taehyung is talking about. He can feel his own eyes tearing up. He can't see the younger like this anymore. Although he has known Taehyung just for a short while, he knows that Taehyung is a very good person. He has enjoyed the times he has spent with the blonde boy and seeing him in this state is really saddening for the raven head.

"Tae, you're such a good friend." Jungkook says trying again as he walks closer, "You always try to take care of people around you. You're a great human being, you know?" Taehyung starts listening to him again. Jungkook smiles at him as he cups the younger's cheeks and wipes away his tears. "It's okay to be sad and scared at times. We're all humans and it can happen. That doesn't mean you are crazy. Whoever thinks that you're crazy is a nutcase. You're strong, Taehyung and didn't I just tell you that I will help you? I will help you and protect you, Tae. All you have to do is trust me? You trust Jungkookie hyung, right?"

Taehyung slowly nods and Jungkook smiles again. He slowly pulls him into a hug and wraps his arms securely around his body. "Then please do what I tell you, okay?" Jungkook asks and feels Taehyung nodding.

"Okay so I want you to breathe, Taehyung. Just breathe with me, okay?" He asks tenderly as he runs his hand through the younger's soft, blonde hair, "Breathe in when I breathe in and exhale when I do. We will do this together, okay? I'm not leaving you alone. We're in this together." Somehow Jungkook's words manage to actually calm Taehyung down. He never knew he would receive this kind of comfort and tenderness from Jeon Jungkook. He slowly nods and Jungkook takes it as a cue. "Breathe in." The older boy says and breathes in. Taehyung does the same. "Now breathe out." He says and both of them breathe out together.

They do the same for a few minutes and the younger is visibly calm. He isn't sobbing or shaking anymore. He is just focusing on breathing and he seems to be peaceful at the moment. Jungkook is glad that he somehow controlled the situation but he wonders what made Taehyung like that.

After a while, Taehyung starts pulling away when he realizes his position. He doesn't dare make an eye contact with the older boy. He is too shy. He feels as if he just showed the other boy his weakness. He desperately tried to hide it, at least from Jungkook as he didn't want to be taunted about whatever he did. But now Jungkook knows and Taehyung is unsure what the older will say to him. He doesn't want to be made fun of.

"How are you feeling now, Taehyung?" Jungkook asks in a calm voice.

"I'm f-feeling b-better." Taehyung manages to say.

"See I told you, just focus on your breathing and you'll be fine." The ravenette smiles at him kindly.

"T-thanks."

"No problem. I'm glad I could help you. You look good while smiling so don't cry, okay?" Jungkook says in a honey coated voice. He touches Taehyung's nose making him smile a little. If Taehyung hadn't known the raven head before, he would definitely believe that he is an angel sent to help him. Well, he did help him but Jungkook can be scary at times and Taehyung knows that well.

"Why don't you wash your face and I take you home?" Jungkook asks and Taehyung slightly nods. He is too tired to argue right now. He quickly washes his face and then walks with Jungkook towards his car.

Jungkook turns the heater on once they both settle in. It's still raining heavily and the boys are a little drenched as Taehyung's umbrella couldn't protect the both of them completely from the rain. "So your major is music, right?" Jungkook strikes a conversation. He wants to distract the younger from the incident that happened earlier. He knows it was because of some sad and painful memory and Jungkook doesn't want Taehyung to remember that.

"Yeah."

"Which is your favorite song?" Jungkook asks as he starts the car.

"I have so many."

"What do you want to listen now?"

"Umm... Spring day?"

"Oh, I like that song too." Jungkook says and turns the music on. They listen to some of Taehyung's favorite songs as they drive to his house. Although the blonde boy was sad a while ago, he is now a little happier and calm, all thanks to Jungkook, the boy he is often scared of.
