Chapter 44
'You happened.'
Yunhee's timorous accusation resounded throughout the hushed room, and Jimin awkwardly scratched the bridge of his nose when Tae's demeanour shifted from outrage to insulted disbelief.
From the moment her ex had stormed into the apartment, Yunhee had struggled to uphold herself beneath his overbearing personality and incensed jealousy. Jimin was proud of her for plucking up the courage to face him and drop the ultimate bomb, but without context, her words meant nothing.
The fury he'd felt when faced with Tae's biting remarks had subsided when Yunhee took centre stage and explained the reason for their disappearance. The parallel universe was no longer a secret, but her friends were still baffled by her tale, and the nitty-gritty had yet to come.
The evidence they required was in the backpack, but the stone could not be revealed until they'd heard the rest.
It was time to put his animosity aside and take the reins.
Jimin cleared his throat to make himself known, shattering the intense eye contact between Yunhee and Tae as he moved to where she sat.
'I'll take it from here.' Jimin cracked the bones in his neck, ignoring Tae's scoff of resentment as he rested his hand at the top of Yunhee's spine to let him know he was right beside her. 'I'm gonna cut to the chase and tell you the long and short of it. You interrupt me at any point, and this is over.'
'I wouldn't fuck with him. either,' Namjoon snickered as his eyes swept between the awaiting trio. 'He kicks down doors in Italian shoes.'
'He does?' Jungkook blinked excitedly.
'Alright, then, hot shot,' Tae said smugly, retaking his position by the dining table with folded arms, 'enlighten us.'
This wanker, Jimin thought as he absentmindedly splayed his fingers across Yunhee's soft skin.
'When Yunhee arrived at the House of Cards to search for her phone, she ran into the owner, but it wasn't me. This man was something else entirely. Not only a cunning son-of-a-bitch, but possessive, greedy, dangerous and quite possibly one of the smarmiest bastards I've ever had the displeasure of meeting.'
Ensuring that he had Tae's full attention, Jimin delivered his next line as if he were speaking directly to the wily fucker from the other cosmos.
'His name?' he grinned. 'Kim Taehyung.'
'Huh?' Jungkook sulked as Tae's face distorted in confusion. 'What were you doing at the House of Cards, Tae? You told us that you fought Jimin's men at the warehouse before fleeing so they wouldn't tear you to smithereens!'
'I did!' Tae thundered defensively while overturning his palms questioningly. 'I never went anywhere near the club that night!'
'It's true,' Jin piped up, 'Joon and I didn't see him after he fled, but we did see a huge orb explode from the ground and swallow Jimin and Yunhee whole. And I think you did, too, Tae.'
'Look,' Tae rolled his eyes, 'regardless of who saw what, what has this got to do with Yunhee running into some guy at the club who shares the same name as me?'
Interesting, Jimin pondered; Tae hadn't denied Jin's allegation, and the burgundy tint in his cheeks was steadily returning to a pasty colour.
'It has everything to do with it,' Jimin gritted as Yunhee nervously chewed on her fingernails.
'What about you, Jimin?' Jungkook quizzed before he could say anything more. 'After Yunhee escaped your clutches, did you follow her?'
Hiding a secret smile while thinking about the Lexus he'd hijacked and the will to take Yunhee back if it killed him, Jimin sent Jungkook a cheeky grin and said, 'I did. I drove to Itaewon believing it was my club, too, but when I got there, everything was flipped upside down. What was black was white and-'
'Oh, just get to the fucking point already,' Suga groaned as he swiped his face in a soul-destroying fashion. 'You're speaking in riddles and my brain can't compute.'
'Yunhee didn't run into Tae at the House of Cards that night.' Jimin's words seized the attention of every person in the room, leaving them dangling off the edge of a tenterhook as they waited for him to finish. 'She ran into his doppelgänger...'
It was fascinating, watching each reaction as Jimin delved through detail after detail of what occurred during those hectic two weeks. Oddly, no one interrupted him, giving him free reign to entertain the group with the fundamentals of the parallel universe, minus the specifics of the romance that blossomed on the sideline.
Mirror images of each and every one of them, retaining similar traits, yet living polar opposite lives because of the divergency in the café a decade ago. The dictatorial Kim Taehyung and his underbosses who dominated the underworld instead of Jimin, while his trusted men lived a peaceful life within these four walls.
It wasn't difficult to describe the ins and outs of the family feud; it existed in both realms, but despite Tae being bitter and returning to Seoul to enact revenge in the form of embezzlement, he'd not once made an attempt on Jimin's life.
Kim Taehyung, on the other hand, wanted him dead. It was the despotic ruler's one and only objective throughout their escapade after discovering Jimin had risen from the grave, and one of the reasons they'd fled to the beach house.
Jungkook was devastated to hear that Yunhee had been snatched and used as bait to lure him in, and Suga cussed relentlessly when Jimin vividly illustrated waking up tied to a chair in the warehouse to find Taehyung threatening to take Yunhee through the portal.
Tae...well, the man had not uttered a peep for the past hour, but a thin line was sketched across his lips and his skin was sickeningly pallid as Jimin brought the first half of their adventure to a close.
'I took a shot at Taehyung, but in the commotion, Yunhee fell back through the vortex without me. Terrified of seeing the faces that had terrorised her, she ran to the House of Cards instead of going home. It was there she met Jin, who took her under his wing until I could find a way back.'
'Shit,' Suga grumbled, 'that was the night I received the report of someone of Yunhee's description banging on the door of the club.'
'It adds up,' Jin confirmed.
'I'm glad you weren't alone over there,' Jungkook said innocently while sending Yunhee a smile of encouragement. 'It's really sweet that you and Jimin became friends.'
'More than friends, obviously,' Tae murmured.
The calm man was still leaning against the table with his hands tucked beneath his armpits and a grey cloud brewing above his head. He was unusually quiet, but Jimin suspected it wouldn't be long before that tight coil of his snapped again.
'You said there was another version of us all,' Suga muttered as he strolled around the living room in thought, 'but I didn't hear you mention anything about Jimin and Yunhee. Did you have to avoid them in case you all evaporated into thin air or something?'
Sensing Yunhee's uneasiness on the matter, Jimin got straight to the point in order to move on. 'I can't speak for them. They're dead.'
'R-right.' Suga's face fell, his stutter uncharacteristic as he stopped to gawp at them. 'I guess that's a story for another time.'
'I'm still reeling from the first part,' Jungkook flopped back on the couch, 'but I can't wait to hear the rest. I have like, a gazillion questions!'
'It gets better,' Jin sang wryly while casting their host a hopeful look. 'Got any liquor in, mate?'
'No,' Tae deadpanned.
'That's a shame,' Namjoon exhaled.
Jungkook hurriedly sat up with a bout of enthusiasm. 'My first question is about Suga, Hobi and myself. Did you meet us? If so, where did we fit into all of this?'
Jimin tilted his head and regarded the strapping young male bouncing his cotton socks on the floor.
As far as first impressions went, Jungkook appeared to be all brawn and no brain, but despite scaring Yunhee earlier, Jimin couldn't help but respect the man's impulse to make sure she was alright. Now, his initial fear of the mob was dwindling, and there was a beauty that came with his naivety because it made him believe.
The kid was sort of okay.
'You actually believe this pile of shit, JK?' Tae glowered at his enthralled buddy.
'Sure, I do! They have no reason to lie to us,' Jungkook replied as if it was the simplest notion on the planet, his eager eyes still trained on Jimin. 'You said that Taehyung had underbosses. Was that us? Were we in league with him?'
Yunhee rose from her chair and joined the keen man on the couch, her fingers snaking into his as she sent him a supportive smile.
'You were there, Kook, all four of you were,' she explained as she met Suga's disturbed gaze, 'and you should know that this is no reflection on either of you, but...you weren't very nice-'
'You were lethal,' Jimin stated untactfully. 'In the end, it was either you or me. Don't take it personally-'
'Oh, my God! You killed us?' Jungkook whined as the corner of Suga's mouth curled into a loathsome grimace.
'Yes,' Jimin sighed and slumped onto the empty dining chair.
Why did he suddenly feel terrible? It wasn't in his nature to appease his victims, but being challenged by the doppelgängers of the men he'd ferociously slain was the equivalent of them coming back from the dead and bombarding him with guilt.
'And what about Taehyung and Hoseok?' Tae taunted. 'I suppose you put a bullet in their heads with ease as well?'
'Jimin doesn't kill men "with ease",' Jin yapped unapologetically. 'He did what he had to in order to survive and protect Yunhee.'
'How precious,' Tae mocked under his breath.
'Don't say that,' Yunhee shuddered as she clenched Jimin's shoulder.
'So, Taehyung and Hoseok are dead?' Tae pressed.
'If they were dead,' Jin cracked, 'I wouldn't be standing in this apartment drinking cheap-arse vodka.'
Everyone dropped their gaze to Jin's hand as he swirled a sizable helping of alcohol around a tumbler. Jimin knew him well enough not to ask how he'd managed to get his claws on the liquor while they were talking. The crafty mobster had his ways, and they were usually better left undisputed.
'Why couldn't you kill them?' Tae was on fire with his loaded questions, using them to safeguard his pride against a sobering truth he couldn't admit to. 'Did you lose your nerve when you looked me in the eye and held a gun to my head? Couldn't kill the friend you once loved and then betrayed?'
'Oh, get fucked, Tae. You betrayed me the moment you decided to shag my girlfriend,' Jimin refuted as he abandoned his seat. 'And to answer your stupid fucking question, it was four against one and I was a little distracted trying to make sure your doppelgänger didn't disappear through a vortex with his latest obsession.'
'Seems you fucked up because you lost her anyway,' Tae derided cruelly.
'At least she didn't leave me willingly for being a deceitful coward.'
Yunhee cried out in protest when Tae vaulted from the table and yanked Jimin into his chest by the lapels, but Suga interceded and lugged Tae away before they could splatter each other's blood over the grey walls.
'The aspects of that night are of no importance,' Namjoon said as Jimin straightened out his shirt with flaring nostrils. 'Our problem lies in the fact that Taehyung and Hoseok are alive and kicking.'
'Um, how can it be a problem when they live in another universe?' Jungkook spluttered.
'Oh!' Tae popped caustically. 'How indeed.'
'For Christ's sake!' Yunhee's outbreak startled everyone as she bravely marched towards the cynical man and gripped his shirt. 'I don't like you very much right now for a number of reasons, Kim Taehyung, so believe me when I say that I'll not hesitate to slice a blade across both your cheeks if you don't quit with this passive-aggressive attitude of yours!'
Not wanting to interfere because - fuck, was he enjoying the show - Jimin amusedly watched a stunned Tae subconsciously scrub his cheek with a meditative wince as Yunhee whirled around to deliver the final blow.
'They're here!' she announced with wild hair framing her gorgeously ferocious face. 'They came through the vortex, Taehyung infiltrated the House of Cards, and Hoseok tried to pass himself off as Hobi!'
'Well, I...' Suga faltered. 'Holy shit...'
'Wait, what do you mean "they're here"? Like, here here?' Jungkook panicked, his deer-like eyes screaming at Tae to speak up as if they shared a deep secret. 'Was that who we saw while taking a jog?'
To Jimin's surprise, Tae mirrored Jungkook's unnerved disposition, his eyes zipping to the window to rake the street below as if something or someone had spooked him.
It wasn't long until he visibly relaxed and began to titter, though, dipping his chin with his hands on his hips until he raised his head and released a thunderous spell of laughter.
'This is a prank, right?' Tae howled with an untamed edge of lunacy. 'I mean, it has to be. Either that or you've all gone stark raving mad.'
'Oh, you'll know when I'm playing a prank,' Jin half jested, half threatened as Tae pursed his lips and lifted a palm to rudely silence him.
'Give me a second to clear my thoughts and get this straight for sec, because you're absolutely right; it's a lot to take in.'
Focused solely on Jimin, Tae stalked towards him with a noxious demeanour that matched his doppelgänger's.
'You disappeared to another biosphere,' he rasped as he lowered one finger, 'went on the run from an opposing crime syndicate,' another digit dropped, 'Yunhee was kidnapped,' a third, 'you tried to save her,' a fourth, 'but she tumbled back through the vortex...' Tae's hand curled into a fist as he snarled, 'And then this Mafia King and his caporegime slipped through the net and kidnapped Hobi?'
'You ran out of fingers there,' Jimin replied smarmily, 'but well done; you pretty much nailed it.'
'Alright. No more talk of deranged mobsters in alternate universes. Get out of my house before I lose my shit.'
There was an exasperated sigh and a ruckus beside the frothing duo, and then Yunhee called Jimin's name and tossed an object in their direction.
Knowing it was the rucksack, he extended his arm and single-handedly caught the bag before yanking the zip open to slide the pillar out and purposefully drop it inches from Tae's feet.
The Zippo came next, hurtling through the air like a shooting star.
Catching it swiftly, Jimin popped the lid and thumbed the flint wheel to spark it up, and then squatted to place the dancing flame on top of the smooth rock before gradually rising to his full height.
Jimin wasn't sure if anyone else felt the delicate shift in the atmosphere as they looked on in perplexed curiosity, but his skin prickled when a colourful stalk of light snaked from the stone and floodlit the painted walls in luminous hues of cerulean violet.
Tae reacted first, his bare toes shuffling away from the spiralling tendril as he retreated with a discernible gulp. Jungkook next, leaping out of his seat to land heavily on Jin's knee, while Suga withdrew his gun and backed into the kitchen doorway with a mortified scowl.
'What is this hoodoo?' he waved the Glock at the glowing attraction. 'Are you a magician now?'
'Fuck...' Namjoon sputtered, his face as translucent as those experiencing the magic for the first time. 'You weren't lying.'
'I thought you getting thrown across the warehouse this morning was proof enough,' Yunhee kindly reminded the mobster of his embarrassing accident as all eyes remained glued to the bright beam of light.
Jimin studied Tae carefully, intrigued by the reality unfolding across his stony features as he pressed his spine into the rim of the dining table. It wasn't surprise shining in his eyes, more the realisation that what he'd seen in the warehouse was no longer a figment of his imagination.
Tae's voice was miles from convinced as his wide eyes whizzed around the gleaming furniture of his home. 'This...this isn't possible.'
'Touch it, tough nuts,' Jin licked his lips. 'I dare you.'
'No one touches this.' Jimin snatched Jungkook's wrist after he shot from the sofa and ran towards it like a child to an ice-cream truck. 'Ever.'
'What did you cover it in?' Tae asked as he examined the rock from a safe distance. 'Gasoline? Paraffin?'
'Did you not pay attention in science class?' Namjoon wheezed. 'If we'd doused the stone in either of those fluids, it would have singed your eyebrows off and burnt out in seconds.'
'There's also a distinct lack of smoke and it's completely odourless,' Suga concurred, deeming it safe enough to tuck his gun away and leave the doorway. 'Where the hell is that light coming from? Is that...is that the portal?'
'Not quite,' Jimin replied as he fell to his knees and balanced on his haunches. 'There's not enough heat to open it fully, but...'
Rolling up his sleeve, Jimin stretched out his palm and swiped it through the fine thread to demonstrate, the tips of his fingers vanishing and reappearing on either side as they passed through the branch.
'Wow!' Jungkook yelled. 'Just wow!'
'Yeah, that's definitely...that's definitely something,' Suga coughed while stroking the side of his neck.
'Now do you believe us?' Yunhee exclaimed as Jimin withdrew his hand and sprang to his feet.
Making a beeline for Tae (who'd yet to move from the table and remove his eyes from the extraordinary sight), Jimin blocked his view and impatiently locked his forearms in an authoritative fold.
'Listen, I don't want to be here anymore than you, but it's what Yunhee wants and that's all that matters. I don't give a damn whether you believe this or not; we'll find Hobi with or without you, but I want you to stop insulting our intelligence and cut the bullshit. You saw something that night.'
The cutting speech shook Tae out of his hypnotised stupor, and he progressively lifted his head to meet Jimin's confident gaze.
Everything about his stance was unyielding, but the russet eyes interspersed with blue flecks told a different story, along with the firm lips that began to buckle as his dark brows dipped together.
Tae's guard broke a split second later, a whoosh of hot air rushing out of his mouth as his shoulders slumped in defeat.
'Jesus fucking Christ and all that is holy,' he surrendered while driving the heel of his palm across his forehead. 'Do you have any idea where Taehyung and Hoseok are holding Hobi?'
If someone had told Park Jimin that he would one day smile at Kim Taehyung again, he would have laughed in their face and politely requested they piss off. But smile at him he did as Yunhee victoriously fist pumped the air and Jin congratulated him with a sarcastic clap.
'We have an idea, but we're going to need a few more eyes on the job,' Namjoon answered as Jimin turned away and blew out his cheeks in relief.
Honestly, he felt like he'd just run a thirty-mile mental marathon.
'Yunhee told us about the work you undertook while searching for her,' Jin got down to business after finishing his acerbic round of applause, 'you bunch of misfits know Hobi better than anyone, hence us reaching out.'
'What about Taehyung and Hoseok themselves?' Suga asked grimly. 'Do we know where they are right now?'
'Hoseok was at the beach house with us before we figured out his real identity. My guess is that he scampered back to his boss after I beat him to pulp and Yunhee knocked him out with a frying pan. I saw Taehyung lurking in Itaewon the same night, but other than that, their whereabouts is unknown.'
'Son-of-a-bitch!' Tae hissed through the fingernails he was munching on. 'JK was right. We saw someone who was the spitting image of me right before Yunhee called. I think he's following me.'
'Fuck!' Suga suddenly exploded. 'Remember the creepy Halloween guy that Hobi photographed? We all swore it was Tae-'
'I told you it wasn't.'
'It was Taehyung!' Suga raged as he fumbled to unlock his smart phone and produce a series of candid shots. 'Hobi sent these to me.'
Jimin filched the device and hurriedly scrolled through the gallery as Yunhee, Jin and Namjoon gathered around. The pictures were clear; it was Taehyung, lingering on the steps outside with ebony hair and porcelain skin marred by a cerise gash.
'That's...that's definitely him,' Yunhee's shiver reverberated through Jimin while he resisted the urge to crush the phone beneath his shoe. 'I gave him that scar when he...he...'
'When were these taken?' Jimin commanded. 'When?'
'About two weeks ago,' Suga verified as Jimin - simmering - returned the cell to its owner.
Fucking fantastic, he thought as the group erupted into a conflagration of chitter-chatter, the stalker slash motherfucker was sniffing around Yunhee's apartment the minute he landed.
Concepts were slung around the apartment, batshit hypotheses, heroic notions and 'what-the-fucks' flying out of mouths while the stone remained in the middle of the pandemonium projecting ethereal patterns onto the walls like a home cinema.
Exposing the vortex had inevitably bridged the gap that separated their worlds, but amidst the chaos stood one man with a dejected gaze as he stared hopelessly at the woman he'd recently lost.
'You were outside the café...' Tae's face was deathly white as Yunhee left her energetic friends to speak to him. 'I never...I had no idea. All this time...'
Comfortable enough to give them a moment of privacy, Jimin crouched beside the stone with the intent to close the lighter and extinguish the flame, but he hesitated when he overheard their emotional conversation.
'I didn't know you were inside, either. Not until a few weeks ago, at least,' Yunhee abashedly bit her lip as she scraped the sole of her shoe along the glossy floor. 'The fall I took was how I got the scar on my knee.'
'I often wondered how you got that. You never told me. I never asked...' Tae smiled woefully as his anxious gaze analysed every inch of her pretty face. 'Are you okay? You said you gave Taehyung that scar. And Hoseok was at the beach house! Please tell me they did nothing to hurt you!'
'I survived,' Yunhee assured valiantly. 'It'll take a lot more than a few gangsters to bring me to my knees.'
Tae flashed a humoured box-smile at Yunhee's attempt to lighten the mood with wit, but then his teeth disappeared behind a pout and a weighty frown darkened his face. 'I understand why you felt the need to hide, but that man in those photos is not me. I would never hurt-'
'How did you manage to move the stone?' Suga addressed before Tae could finish his heartfelt sermon. 'That thing looks pretty solid. Must have taken some effort to dig it out.'
Deciding he'd heard enough, Jimin collected the Zippo and clicked it shut. The vibrant strand of light disintegrated, plunging the room and its inhabitants into a glum quietude as they waited for someone to respond.
'It was solid, but for some weird reason, it slid out of the ground like King Arthur's Excalibur when Yunhee and I tried. Turns out we're the only two who can touch it.' Jimin shrugged as he scooped up the priceless item and eased it back into the rucksack. 'We made the decision to move it and keep it in our possession to stop Taehyung from coming and going as he pleases.'
'Don't we want him to go?' Jungkook argued.
'Yes and no,' Jimin explained as he fastened the bag and turned to face everyone. 'The more leeway the man has, the more dangerous he becomes. He's not just here for my club, he's here for Yunhee, and if - God help us - the worst happens, we can't risk him taking her back through the vortex.'
'Why does he want Yunhee, though?' Jungkook's features contorted in disgust. 'I mean, I get that he's the same as Tae and that they share the same desires, but this geezer is rich and powerful! He could have any woman he wants!'
'JK's right, something's off,' Tae muttered, looking a tad uncomfortable. 'We may share the same DNA, but from the sounds of it, this man is extreme and makes my embezzlement look like a teddy bear's picnic. If you want our help, you're going to have to tell us everything. That includes his intentions and what you think he's capable of. You mentioned something about an obsession earlier...'
Understanding that the topic was still a living nightmare for Yunhee, Jimin looked to her for permission, waiting until she nodded in approval before disclosing his theory.
'At first, we believed Taehyung's revenge was related to the feud; capture us both and kill me under the knowledge that he was going to traffic Yunhee to Russia. Somewhere along the line, though, his fascination grew into obsession, and he decided it was in his best interest to inhabit two worlds. What better way to seek revenge by taking over my life and stealing the heart of the woman I-'
Jimin chopped his sentence short when he realised what he was about to say. Not an appropriate time in Tae's company, and he had yet to express the three words to Yunhee herself.
'Anyway,' he hacked his throat, avoiding the searing gaze of Tae, 'Taehyung wants me dead and buried, and to claim Yunhee as his own. He's holding Jinnie hostage in the other world, and we reckon he's going to use him or Hobi somewhere down the line to get what he wants.'
'Hang on, hang on, backtrack!' Suga waved his hands in the air. 'Did you say trafficking?'
'Unfortunately, yes,' Jimin griped. 'It's his main source of income, along with extortion, infiltration, money laundering and bribery.'
'I guess you'd know all about those things, wouldn't you?' Tae goaded.
'I know a lot about them, which is why I avoid them like the plague and stick to bribery,' Jimin admitted, much to their amazement. He wasn't going to lie to them about his undertakings, not when every card was being laid out on the table.
Still, his ethical illegalities were another story for another time.
'Did you say that Taehyung has already infiltrated the club?' Tae enquired with a deep-set brow.
'Yes,' Namjoon carped, 'only yesterday, in fact.'
'That sneaky bastard,' Suga whistled. 'How in the hell did he manage that?'
'Fuck, my passport, of course!' Tae's fingers dropped from where he was tapping his mouth and he threw his head back in disbelief. 'It went missing, along with a bunch of my legal documents.'
'And he's been using your bank account,' Jin added. 'You told me a substantial sum was deposited, right? Probably for business purposes.'
'Right,' Tae barked out a laugh and brusquely pointed at finger at Jimin, 'and here's me thinking it was you fucking around with me all this time.'
'I'm not that desperate.' Jimin grinned when Tae rolled his eyes and flipped him a middle finger.
He had a million comebacks, but a harsh poke to the ribs from Yunhee silenced him as she positioned herself in the centre of the room.
'Taehyung's already one step ahead after a couple of weeks. If we're going to beat him, we need to work together and work smart.' Jimin cringed at Yunhee's words, disinclined to hear the next part even though he'd already acceded. 'Things will run smoother if we're all under one roof, so-'
'This place isn't big enough for seven people!' Jungkook declared as he assessed the fixtures and fittings around them.
'He means his own roof,' Tae growled disapprovingly as the guard he'd recently let down slid right back into place.
'I'm in,' Suga croaked before knocking back the vodka Jin had discarded.
'Me, too!' Jungkook animatedly raised his arm.
All eyes fell to the remaining member who'd yet to agree.
'You must be joking?' Tae blustered. 'You want me to come live in your house?'
Jimin sighed and ran his hands along his tired face. He had a feeling this would happen. Yunhee may have convinced him to let her friends stay in his home, but that didn't mean her former partner was going to be happy about it.
'Come on, Tae,' Jungkook pleaded, 'Hobi needs our help. We can't do this without you.'
'JK's right,' Suga endorsed. 'You were the brains behind Operation Hahm.'
'You wanna stay here and mope, suits me perfectly. I already told you we'll find Hobi with or without you.' Jimin sniffed, swinging the rucksack onto his shoulder with a sudden urge to leave the cramped apartment. 'Tomorrow. 8AM sharp. You know where I live.'
'This changes nothing between us,' Tae fired at Jimin as he ushered Yunhee and his men out. 'Absolutely nothing!'
'Agreed!' Jimin waved him off before stepping into the hallway and slamming the door.
At least they were on the same page about one thing.
