51.

"Soobin, can you please tell Taehyung to get inside the recording room? We need to go on air in like five minutes." Jungkook tells Soobin who is sitting on his desk which is beside Taehyung's. This is the third day since this is happening. Since Jungkook knows that Taehyung will not to talk to him right now, he says whatever he has to say to Soobin and tells him to tell the younger.

"It's already the third day. What's wrong with you two?" Soobin slides his chair closer to Taehyung's and asks him. When the other shakes his head, Soobin furrows his eyebrows, "It doesn't seem like nothing to me. Why aren't you both talking to each other directly? Did you both fight or something?"

"Umm... I kind of told him I need time to think about stuff and I might have distanced myself from him." Taehyung says. He really wanted to talk to someone but he couldn't talk to his brother and Yoongi because they would get worried. Namjoon and Hoseok were not an option too because then he would have to tell them the cause and Jimin is out of the picture because he doesn't want his best friend to know that he already told someone about the issue he wasn't supposed to talk about.

"What? Why would you do that?" Soobin whisper-yells at him.

"Just some difference of opinion happened." Taehyung sighs realizing that he can't even talk to Soobin about it because if he wants to tell someone about this, they would ask why and Taehyung can't think about a good enough lie.

"Two minutes to go on air. Soobin, didn't you tell him?" Jungkook shouts from the other side of the room.

"Sorry, sunbae-nim. Taehyung, go inside. Let's talk later." Soobin tells him. Taehyung nods and goes inside. After they are done with the broadcast, Taehyung stares at Jungkook who is busy with his laptop. The younger has been thinking about what Yoongi said a lot and he even received an email from The HYBE Corporation regarding the talent hunt show this morning. As much as Taehyung felt motivated the last night, he suddenly doesn't know if he should participate or not. Well, he's just nervous and all this feels unreal to him. He wants to tell Jungkook about it and he wants the older to tell him that he should do it and encourage him.

Am I being selfish by not talking to him? I really should talk to him.

So he walks behind Jungkook and stands there. He doesn't say anything hoping that his mere presence makes Jungkook look at him like always but well, it doesn't happen this time. Even though the ravenette knows that Taehyung is standing behind him, he chooses to not turn around. He wants the younger to talk to him first. Now don't think it's because he has some attitude problem, it's just that Taehyung chose not to talk to him and ignored him. This has hurt Jungkook as well. All he wanted to do was talk to the younger and clear whatever the problem is.

"Umm... Hey Jungkook?" Taehyung calls hesitantly. Jungkook just hums without looking at him and Taehyung feels bad about it. He wants the older to look at him. It's funny how Taehyung ignored him but when Jungkook is doing the same thing, he can't take it.

"What are you d-doing?" Taehyung asks.

"Nothing that concerns you." Jungkook says coldly, without looking at him again and Taehyung would be lying if he says he isn't hurt. But he knows instead of ignoring the ravenette, he should have talked everything out with him. After all communication is the key, right?

"D-Do you want to... hang out later?" Taehyung fiddles with his fingers and looks down.

"No, I'm busy."

"Are you really? Or are you just saying that to avoid me?" Taehyung asks getting a little irritated by the older's behavior.

"No, why would I avoid you? After all, Taehyung, you did nothing wrong." Jungkook says finally turning around in his seat and then looking at Taehyung. The younger can see hurt in the ravenette's eyes and that instantly makes him feel guilty. Those beautiful, bambi eyes deserve the sparkle of happiness in them and not any hint of sadness.

"I-I..."

"Save it, Taehyung. Just get to the point. Is there something you want from me?"

"N-No... why would you think that I'm talking to you just because I want something from you?"

"Because the last time I checked, which was this morning, you ignored me when I asked you to go to the cafeteria with me." Jungkook says.

"Jungkook, I was-" Taehyung gets interrupted as the door suddenly flies open and a familiar looking man walks in along with the principal. Taehyung's eyebrows furrow as he tries to remember where he has seen the other man.

"Jungkook, Mr. Jeon came to the university for some business and he decided to take a tour. He asked me about the broadcasting club so I brought him here." The principal says. Taehyung looks at Jungkook who has a blank expression on his face while the other man smiles at him. Taehyung now knows that this man is Jungkook's father, Jeon Sungje. He remembers that he has seen him on the television many times.

"Hello, son." Sungje says but Jungkook doesn't say anything. The atmosphere gets a little awkward so the principal says, "I think we should leave for sometime. Come out with me, Taehyung."

Taehyung, clueless about what to do, nods his head and is about to follow the principal out but a hand wraps around his wrist. He looks at the hand first and then at the person to whom the hand belongs. Of course, it's Jungkook but the ravenette isn't looking at him. He is looking straight at his father or maybe glaring would be a more appropriate word.

"Taehyung can stay here, Mr. Choi." Jungkook forces a smile at the principal. Mr. Choi nods his head hesitantly before stepping out of the room himself.

"So this is the famous broadcasting club that everyone talks about? You guys made this year's university fest a big success." Sunje says and Jungkook rolls his eyes.

"If my day wasn't bad already, I can say that it definitely turned bad just now. Thanks to you, Mr. Jeon." Jungkook says bitterly.

"Is this the way you talk to your father? That too in front of others?" Sungje asks looking at Jungkook first and then at Taehyung.

"Why? Are you worried that the so called perfect family image you created for the world would be lost?" Jungkook smirks. Taehyung senses tension in the room but he dares not say a word.

"Come on, Jungkook, why are you being mad at me? I just came here to see my son and talk to him. Is it so bad?"

"Yes, it is because I know where the conversation will go. You'll tell me how I'm wasting my life and shit. You'll again force me to join the company but Mr. Jeon, get one thing clear in your head. I am never going to take over your company." Jungkook says, gritting his teeth.

"Why do you wanna spill everything in front of this guy?" Jungkook's father asks, eyeing Taehyung.

"This beautiful boy standing beside me is Kim Taehyung and he is my boyfriend. I have no reason to hide anything from him." Jungkook says confidently and Taehyung can't help but smile. Even after everything, Jungkook is still by Taehyung's side and that's all that matters. Jungkook is not ashamed to introduce him to others and he isn't letting their personal matters affect their relationship. Taehyung decides that he will talk to Jungkook now and even apologize to him.

We both love each other so we'll be okay. He says to himself in his mind and smiles.

"Okay, fine. He's your boyfriend so I have nothing to say. You should tell him everything because when you love someone, well... you don't want to keep secrets from them." Sungje smiles and that shocks Jungkook. He didn't expect his father to say those words.

"Wait, you both do love each other right?" Sungje asks at the lack of response, wondering if he said something wrong.

"We do. But why are you suddenly acting like you care? Drop the act, Mr. Jeon. This doesn't suit you." Jungkook says, his grip on Taehyung's hand becomes tighter. The younger gets the message that he is stressed so he starts drawing soothing circles on his hand which calms Jungkook down a little.

"Maybe I was always like this but you didn't see it because you were too busy hating me?" Sungje says.

"Oh please I-" Jungkook gets interrupted by Sungje again, "I'm not one of those homophobic fathers who'd try to hurt the love of my son's life just because I think that my son should marry a woman and have children, give me an heir and all that bullshit. I believe that you should be with the person you love and who loves you. That way, you can stay happy."

"I... don't understand. Why did you come here? I'm sure you didn't just come here to preach me about love and happiness." Jungkook asks confusedly. He has never heard his father talk like this before. Well, he never talked to him about anything which wasn't important after he found out that Jimin is his father's illegitimate son and that his father cheated on his mother.

"I definitely didn't come here with a bad intention if that's what you're worried about. I came here because I had a meeting with the authorities and I thought I should meet you because I rarely get to see you. You leave home early and come back really late. I don't get to see you at all. Am I being too selfish when all I wish for is to see my son for a while?" Sungje's words leave Jungkook speechless. He wasn't expecting this at all. He feels a lump in his throat and wonders if he can even reply properly.

Taehyung on the other hand finds sincerity in the elder's words but he decides not to say anything about it to Jungkook until he talks about it himself. They already have a lot to talk about among themselves.

"I think you sh-should go, Mr. Jeon. After all you are a busy man." Jungkook manages to say but he hates the fact that he stuttered. When Sungje is about to say something, Jungkook's phone beeps with a message. He leaves Taehyung's hand and pulls it out. His eyes widen when he sees the message. It's from Namjoon.

Namjoon hyung

Jungkook is shocked by the message. He quickly grabs his bag that he had already readied at his studio before coming to the university. He looks at Sungje who looks at him with a confused expression, "I have something important to do so I'll go now. I guess you should go too."

He then turns to Taehyung and says, "Taehyung, call Jimin and tell him not to go anywhere. Stay with him if possible."

At the mention of Jimin and by looking at Jungkook's hurried actions, Taehyung gets nervous and a little scared. What could have possibly happened? Why is Jungkook in such a hurry? But before Taehyung can ask him anything, the ravenette leaves.

Taehyung looks at Sungje and bows a little with a small smile and then quickly leaves the room dialing Jimin's number while trying to find him.
