Jungkook walks out of the broadcasting room, his hands stuffed in his pocket. He sighs wondering how much of a work load he has lately. The university fest is round the corner and because of that, the broadcasting club is really busy. Jungkook, being the head of the broadcasting club, has to stay back at the university. Because of this, he gets less time to devote to his channel. He is really frustrated these days.

"H-Hyung!" He hears Jimin's voice and turns around to see him trailing behind him.

He sighs deeply, "Why are you following me, Chim?"

"T-Thank you." He says with a sad smile.

"What are you thanking me for?"

"Thanks for visiting my mom, hyung. Because of my test, I couldn't visit her. The doctor wanted someone to be there while they checked her up and you went instead of me. I'm so thankful." The pink haired boy says while the ravenette just stares at him.

"You don't need to thank me, Chim. Just buy whatever is there on the list that Hobi hyung gave you and go meet your mom. She misses you so much and she really wants to have whatever is on the list. She wants you to visit her soon and have a meal together with her." Jungkook says with a small smile.

"Yeah, I'll go." Jimin says.

"Good." Jungkook pats the younger's shoulder and starts walking. Jimin follows him again, "Hyung!"

"Hey Jimin, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me hyung in college?" Jungkook asks with a serious expression on his face.

"S-Sorry, I t-thought it would be o-okay since we are al-alone." The pink haired boy says as he plays with his fingers nervously.

"Stop stuttering. You can't call me hyung in college." Jungkook says sternly.

"But why?"

"It's not like I'm your brother or anything. Why bother, Jimin?" The ravenette's words hurt the boy. Jimin genuinely likes Jungkook, not in a romantic kind of a way but like a brother. He wishes Jungkook was his own brother.

"But you have done a lot for me."

"I know. So the least you could do for me is to stop hanging out with that Baekhyun guy." Jungkook shrugs.

"O-okay." Jimin says. Yes, the least he could do is listen to what Jungkook says. Most of the time he's right anyway so there's no reason to not listen to him. He will have to talk to Taehyung though because Baekhyun and Taehyung are friends.

"Okay you should go now. Your mom must be waiting." Jungkook says. Jimin nods and walks away from there after saying 'goodbye'. Jungkook looks at his retreating back with sad eyes.

He doesn't deserve this.

Almost an hour later, Jungkook decides to go to his studio. He really needs to upload some content on his channel. But since he didn't have enough time to work on anything earlier, he wonders if he should just do a live video and interact with his fans. Yeah, that's an easy thing to do.

When he walks towards the exit of the building, he sees how furiously it is raining. The sound of the thunder is enough to scare someone. He didn't notice that the weather was so bad because the broadcasting room is soundproof. He needs to be extra careful while driving today or maybe he should just wait for the rain to slow down a bit. Jungkook sighs and stares at the rain when he receives a message from Namjoon.

Namjoon hyung
Hey
I left my bag in the library
in the science section
Pls get it for me?

Jungkook
And where are you?

Namjoon hyung
Jimin asked me for a ride
I thought I could come back
on tym
But I can't since it's
raining

Jungkook slides his phone back into his pocket and starts walking towards the library. Once he reaches the library, he sees that the big hall with thousands of books is dimly lit, meaning that it was going to be closed soon. He walks towards the science section but a high pitched female voice stops him.

"Mr. Jeon, you cannot go inside. It's closing time." The female, who is the librarian, says.

"I'm sorry for being here so late ma'am but I forgot my bag here earlier and I came to collect it. May I?" He asks politely. The woman slowly nods. He smiles at her and walks away.

Once he sees Namjoon's bag, he is all set to go. He quickly texts Namjoon that he got his bag and that he should come and take it from him later. He then starts moving towards the exit of the library when his eyes fall on a shivering figure at a distance. It's weird so he decides to check. He moves in the direction of the figure and gasps when he sees a boy, sitting on the floor with his back reclined against the wall. The boy is hugging his knees close to his chest and soft sobs are heard. It is enough to make Jungkook worried. He quickly kneels down in front of the boy and softly puts his hand on his shoulder, "Hey!"

When he notices that the boy is still shivering and crying without realizing that the raven head is here, Jungkook tries to shake him again. "Hey! What happened? Are you okay?" He asks worriedly. The boy slowly looks up and Jungkook's eyes widen when he sees that the boy is none other than Kim Taehyung.

"T-Taehyung?" He whispers. Taehyung seems to be in a totally different zone. He looks down again before hugging his knees. He goes back to crying. Jungkook doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know what happened to the younger but he feels really sad looking at him like this. So he does what he feels is right. He puts his arms around the younger and pulls him in his chest. He can feel vibrations through his body as he holds the crying younger who doesn't stop shaking.

"Hey! It's okay, Tae. You are fine. I'm here with you. Everything is fine." Jungkook whispers in Taehyung's ear. He runs his hand through the younger's hair. He desperately wants to calm him down. The vulnerable state of the younger is not something he wants to witness. "You're safe, Tae. Stop crying, hmm?" He says while still rocking Taehyung.

"Jungkook, what's taking you so long, I need to-" the librarian stops midway when she looks at the scene in front of her.

"What's going on?" She asks in an audible whisper. "I don't know." Jungkook says, helplessly rubbing the blonde boy's back.

"D-Do I need to call the nurse?" The librarian asks.

"No!" They hear Taehyung's scream. It's the first time he said anything since Jungkook came and he sounds and looks rather scared.

"W-what happened, Tae?" Jungkook tries again but the younger doesn't say anything. He just clings to the older boy as if his life depends on it.

"I'll- I'll d-die. T-They they w-will k-kill m-me. I-I'll die." Taehyung starts mumbling in between his sobs. Jungkook widens his eyes at the younger words. Is he having a panic attack right now?

Taehyung suddenly pushes Jungkook away. The raven head looks at him in disbelief before composing himself. He tries to reach for the younger but his hand is slapped away. "D-Don't t-touch me. S-stay away!" Taehyung suddenly yells.

"I'll call the nurse." The librarian declares as she comes back from the state of shock. She quickly walks back to her desk.

"Tae, don't worry. Nothing bad is going to happen here." Jungkook says softly. He again tries to place his hand on the younger's shoulder but when Taehyung flinches again, he decides not to touch him for a while.

"Go away! Please just go away!" Taehyung screams covering his ears with his own hands. He is shaking his head violently. Jungkook can't look at his state. His hair is disheveled and tears continuously stream down his face. His lips look dry. He looks like a complete mess right now.

"Okay, Taehyung, just listen to me, alright?" Jungkook gently says, "I'm going to sit here and not move an inch. I won't touch you if you don't want me to. All I want is you to listen to what I have to say. You can do that right?"

Taehyung gives no reaction to him but at least he is not yelling anymore. He is just starting at the floor while still sobbing. Jungkook takes it as a cue and starts talking. "You remember Tae, that day when we went to the comic book store, you said that you'd protect me, you know... when I was scared of the dark themed book?" Jungkook asks. Although he wasn't scared at the book store or anything, but saying what he just said got him the attention of the younger. Something that he desperately wanted at the moment.

"When you said that, I believed you. You really helped me with what you said, Taehyung. Can I do the same for you? I can I help you too? Just like you did?" Jungkook says in a low voice and Taehyung sniffles. He stares blankly at the raven head.

"Do you remember that you called me hyung that night I gave you a ride back home? Isn't your hyung supposed to help you and be there for you?Can I help you? Please, Tae?" He asks again, extending his hand in front of the younger. Taehyung glares at his hand for a good thirty seconds and just when Jungkook believes he won't take his hand and decides to take it back, the younger grabs it tightly. "P-Please h-help me, h-hyung." Says the adorable blonde boy before he starts wailing again and although Jungkook is scared and doesn't really know how to deal with someone who is having a panic attack or a mental breakdown, he is glad that the younger just accepted his offer to help.
