Hana was confused. 

Her heart was racing, and screaming at her. It was screaming to say yes. To kiss him again, this beautiful stranger. 

But her head was telling her otherwise. 

Her head said that he was a stranger, that she shouldn't have kissed him in the first place, and that she had plans with her friends this weekend. They'd been planning it for a while, and she certainly couldn't back out now. Not when she'd been looking forward to it. Not for a boy she'd just met. 

"I can't," she said softly. "I have plans." 

She saw devastation in his eyes. It was crazy really, but looking into his eyes she somehow felt that something inside of him broke when she told him that. 

But it was impossible. They'd just met. He couldn't be that devastated. 

"How about the following weekend?" she suggested, smiling up at him. "I'm free then." 

Heeseung stared at her for a long moment. "I really, really wish we could," he finally said. "But I don't think you'll be free then." 

She looked at him quizzically. "What do you mean? I don't have plans that weekend." 

"Sometimes, life doesn't go according to plan," he told her gently. "Just... just have fun. Have fun this week and this weekend, okay? Promise me that you won't worry and stress over things. Promise me that you'll live life to the fullest." 

"This sounds like a goodbye," she whispered, even more confusion building up in her when she saw a tear trace his cheek. "Are you okay?"

"Just promise me," he said firmly, taking her hand. 

"I promise," she agreed after a moment. 

At that, he seemed to relax a bit, though the expression on his face was now unreadable. His eyes were blank, empty. 

"Goodbye, Hana," he whispered, pressing a kiss to fingers before turning and leaving, without another word, without even a glance back.
