6-There's Not A Thing That I Would Change
WILL
With great effort, Will cleaned his bed to sleep. He was okay, with sleeping in the mess. But then his Dad called his room a dumpster, and called him a pig for being able to sleep in the mess. Yes, he had a very loving father.
He plopped onto the bed, grabbed the PS4 and began playing FIFA 2019. He had been kicking some serious ass, when the doorbell rang. He sighed and walked down to the front door. He was the only person in the house at the moment. Dad had gone to one of his fancy parties with that secretary of his, and their butler Patrick had taken the day off.
He opened the door, and there was Kevin leaning on one of the pillars outside, and saying some kind of gibberish. Will wrinkled his nose when the strong smell of beer hit him.
Yep, he was definitely wasted.
And that shocked Will, 'cause Kevin was the most responsible one of the bunch.
He never got drunk.
"Will, I can't do it anymore", he said, a tear rolling down his cheek, as he stumbled up to Will. Will caught him before he tripped on the doorframe and fell on his face, and Will was more surprised than ever. Kevin never cried either.
"I got you, Kev", he said, then put Kevin's arms around his shoulder, then groaned. Holy shit how much did this idiot weigh.
"I can't do it", he said again, and Will frowned and turned to him.
"Can't do what?", he asked Kevin, while seating him on the sofa.
"Pretend I'm straight", Kevin said, a second tear rolling down his cheek.
It took Will several moments to realize what Kevin had said. And all the sleepiness inside him was whisked away, as he stared at Kevin, not knowing what to say. Kevin was not straight?! When the fuck did this happen?
"You're gay?!", he asked incredulously.
Kevin shook his head, "No, bisexual."
Will sat down next to him, "When did you know?"
Kevin wiped his tears and looked at Will, "O-one night, at a party, I was getting a girl a drink, when I saw Shane making out with some guy in the corner. And it just made me extremely angry. I-I realised, that I wanted to be there with him. I thought I was gay, but when I went to the girl, I realised I wanted to make out with her too. Once, when Shane and I both got drunk, one thing lead to another, and..."
Will felt his eyes widen. Two of his best friends had...
"I was still confused about my...sexuality, so I told Shane it was a mistake. He took that way too personally. He has not talked to me properly since then."
Realization struck Will. That would be why they were behaving weirdly that day.
He did not know what to say or what to do. When Shane had come out to him, he was with Matt and Kyle and they knew how to take care of the situation. And Shane was completely sober and was happy as hell. The complete opposite of what was happening at that moment.
"Are you confused now?", Will stammered, hoping that what he said was the right thing to say.
"No", Kevin said, "I think I'm i-in love with Shane."
Emma
Emma sat in front of her mirror the next morning, staring angrily at the massive pimple on her left cheek, sitting there looking back at her defiantly.
It had been there for a fricking week now, and it was so damn FRUSTRATING.
"When will you go away?" she asked it. It didn't reply.
"Okay, Emma's lost it," came a voice from the door, and she turned around to see Matt and his sister standing there, staring at her.
"I love it," said his sister, and then rushed forward and gave Emma a hug. Emma turned her questioning eyes towards Matt and he nodded. So Hannah did know the complete situation.
"Ah he picked a perfect fake-girlfriend. After I'm done with you, the entire school, boys and girls would want you..." Hannah said, staring at Emma's face.
"Wha..?" Emma asked.
As if to answer, Hannah opened up her bag and spilled a bunch of beauty products onto her bed.
"What's wrong with how I look right now?"Emma asked, feeling slightly hurt. Wasn't she good enough as she was?
"Honestly, I wanted to change nothing, this was all Hannah's idea," Matt said, shaking his head slightly, "I think you look just fine."
"True, you look amazing, but I just felt that a little makeup can take your beauty to the next level. You know, to take you out of the shadows. And don't worry sweetie, I won't make you look like a clown like Chloe, this makeup's gonna be as natural as possible."
Emma was still not reassured. But Matt's words left a dull warmth in her heart.
"Okay then, do what you must..." Emma trailed off.
After half an hour of Hannah fussing over her with a million beauty products, which Emma had no idea how she fit into that tiny pouch, Emma stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself.
And she looked...good.
The pimple was not visible, her skin had this small glow about it, her cheeks and jaw looked sharp, her eyes looked bigger and well...she had to admit that Hannah had done a good job.
She still looked like her. Just the less grundgy more put together version of her.
"AH SHE LOOKS SO PRETTY!" Hannah squealed, "I have magic in my hands."
"Oh please," Matt said with a sigh, "Emma's already beautiful you didn't have that much work to do."
Emma cocked her head towards him, and saw Hannah raise an eyebrow at Matt. And Emma could swear he visibly turned red.
He cleared his throat, "Are we ready to go now?"
