A week later in khanna mansion.

Avni woke up as her phone rang. She rubbing her eyes sat up on the bed and turns her face other side of bed to see her husband sleeping with frowns on his face.. his forehead was covered with frowns. His face looked pale and tired. Avni sighing herself bending down to his forehead placed small kiss then climbed down the bed.

She tied her messy hair in the bun and starts walking to cupboard. She took her uniform out and went to fresh up.

An hour later avni getting ready and glancing at Neil went out of the room. She closed the door behind her. She climbed the stairs and heard swetha shouting at Meher.

Khanna family were back their small vacation. Ananya returning back to Mumbai the next day she went to back Dubai as she promised AvNeil though AvNeil couldn't see her for the last time as they were busy with case.

Avni moves to them and kept her things on sofa and calls Meher who hearing Avni's voice immediately hid behind her.

Avni: Meher why are you hiding behind me? Come out! Mummy ji why are you shouting at Meher?

Swetha : avni ask why am I shouting at her? Do you know what adamant is she stuck to?

Avni : what adamant mummy ji?

Swetha : she adamant not to go college because the girls are getting kidnap from college. You tell why is she scared of going to college. She should be strong girl. Right! I tried explaining nothing short of all happen but she isn't listening to me. She is already behind with her study. Avni you explain her please.

Avni : mummy ji relax.. I'll explain to Meher. Please stop shouting at her. I'll talk to her.

Swetha : thank you avni. I'll go and prepare breakfast.

Avni nodded her head with smile. Swetha went to kitchen looking at Meher who hid behind avni. Avni sighing her head holding Meher hand pulls front of her.

Avni took her to sofa and gestures her to seat.

Avni : Meher sit... I won't eat you.

Avni tried cracking joke but that never worked as Meher was still worried whatever was happening regarding girls going misusing from college. She was shaken when Neil shared the news to the family and alerted Meher. She was ensured Neil to take care of herself but somewhere in her heart she was scared. She still remembers the day she met accident when one of Neil's enemy targeted her.. she doesn't want that to happen again.

She knows her family is with her mostly her Bhabhi and Bhai who wouldn't take any risk regarding her protection.

Avni making Meher sit.. she also sat beside her cups her face.

Avni : Meher I know you're worried whatever is happening around us but that doesn't mean to give up. Those girls who have been kidnapped unfortunately but.. Meher think to yourself.. I and Neil made you aware off it but they didn't even clue what was going to happen to them. Meher we want you to be strong. We are for you. Meher no one can harm you. You know why because you're ACP Neil khanna's sister who is strong and can fight.. you don't need protection Meher. You can be strong and brave. You can protect yourself Meher. You need to have courage. I and Neil won't let anything happen to you. You have to be strong and face your problem. Have courage and attend college. You can't let case ruin your study. Do you trust me?

Meher : I trust you Bhabhi.. but..

Avni: no but if... Meher.. you trust me right then I telling you nothing will happen to you. If you want I'll ask suhneria to come with you. Is that okay?

Meher : no Bhabhi..you don't need to send suhneria Di with me..I don't want suhneria Di be with me.. you guys need her more than me. I'll be okay Bhabhi. I have you and Bhai to protect.. I'll go and get trays for college.

Avni : that's like good girl! Go and get ready.

Avni patted Meher's cheek and passed her smile which Meher returned it back. Meher went to get ready whereas avni walks to kitben and gave hand to swetha preparing breakfast.

Neil woke up rubbing his eyes. His eyes fell other side which was empty. He sat up and pick the phone to see the time. He kept the phone back on side table.

Neil climbs down the bed and went to fresh up as he was getting late for work.

Neil got ready in his uniform and taking his belong walks out of his room. He climbs down the stairs to find hall silent.

He roams his eyes around but didn't see anyone. He kept his stuff on sofa along with Avni as he saw her things. He knew she might be in kitchen.

Neil made his way to kitchen and could hear avni giggles. He stood at the kitchen door and clears his throat gaining their attention who snapped their head at Neil.

Swetha: good morning Neil. Come inside!

Neil walks inside the kitchen and stood beside swetha. He kissed her cheek and wished her good morning. Swetha taking dishes went out of kitchen giving couple some privacy.

Neil : good morning love!

He cupping Avni's face kissed her forehead.

Avni : good morning husband. When did you woke up?

Neil : 30 minutes ago! What did you make for breakfast?

Avni nodded her head.

Avni : I didn't make breakfast. Mummy ji made it. I only helped her.

Neil : where is Meher? I didn't see her. Isn't she going college?

Avni : she is getting ready. You go and seat out. I'll help mummy ji laying foot on dinning table.

Neil nodding his head went out of the kitchen while avni took bowl and follows Neil.

Swetha and Avni laid breakfast on table. Avni starts serving Neil. Even Prakash and Bebe joined them. Swetha starts serving them.

Neil chewing his food wished Bebe and Prakash good morning.

Prakash/ Bebe : good morning Neil!

Soon Meher joined them. They had breakfast while talking and cracking few jokes. After breakfast Prakash left for work.

AvNeil and Meher walks to Neil's car. They all settled in the car. Neil took the driver seat and avni on passenger seat. Meher sat the book looking lost in her thoughts. Neil was going to drop Meher  to college then going to police station.

Neil stopped the car at Meher college and comes out of the car. Even Meher comes out and looks at Neil who was smiling at her. She went to his side and hugged him.

Neil : Meher take care of yourself.

Meher broke the hug and nodded her head. Neil kissed her head. Meher waving her hands at AvNeil walks towards the entrance. Neil sat back in the car once Meher was out of his sight.

Neil puts his seatbelts and looks at avni who was giving suspicious look. Neil avoiding looking at her and drove to police station.

Neil and avni went to their respective cabin and starts working.

Within few minutes later Neil's phone rang. He closed the file and picks his phone up.

Neil : hello mithali!

Mithali : Neil.. I have traced the location and tapped the number too.

Neil : very good mithali.. keep eyes on them.

Neil hangs the call and taps his foot on the floor. He soon got startled as he heard someone punished his poor desk. He looks up and saw furious Avni. He gulps his saliva and tried giving her smile but failed..

Neil: av...

Avni : bloody Neil khanna get up!

Neil's legs starts shaking up. Neil somehow stood up still gulping his salvia at avni who was throwing glares at him.

Avni : care to explain this. What is this Neil?

She threw piece of paper on his face making Neil shock as he noticed the paper which landed on his face.

Neil took the paper then looks at avni who grits her teeth angrily.

Neil : I can explain avni..

Avni : explain! That's what I am waiting for? How could you do this Neil?

Neil : avni.... woh... I..

Avni : woh... I... stop shuttering and speak up. I'm sure you don't want to have broken jaw? Do you?

Neil shook his head as no.

Avni : very good! Now speak up? When did you do this and how?

Neil : last night.. I got it..

Neil then explain how he did that. Avni surprisedly looks at Neil.

Avni : is anything else I need to know?

Neil : kind of yes..

Avni : what is that?

Neil : I can't tell you right now but later.

Avni : why can't you tell me right now? What are you planning officer? Did you forget you work under me?

Neil : I haven't forgotten anything avni.. but I can't tell you right now. I really can't.. please have faith on me.. I promise I'll tell you by today.

Avni : if you don't then trust me consequences will be bad.

Neil : yes I know..

Avni giving him one look left the cabin while Neil slumped back on his chair and sighed.

Neil : why does she has to act like IPS officer? Uff who thought ACP Neil khanna will be scared of his wife who is none than IPS avni Neil khanna. I have to be careful on every step on.  Till my plan is not executed I can't tell avni.. she will dig my grave before listening to all matter.

Neil checks the time and smirks as it was time for the blast. Neil taps his cheek and waits for his phone to ring.

Soon his phone rang, he immediately picks it up.

Neil : hello mithali!

Mithali: plan successfully!

Neil : good! I'm coming there now.

Mithali : okay Neil!

Neil hanged the call and shoving his phone walks to Avni's cabin. He enters inside and saw her working.

Neil clears his throat and passing smile walks inside.

Avni lifts her gaze hi and saw Neil.

Avni : Neil! What are you doing here?

Neil : well I'm here to take out with me.

Avni : take me out Neil? Neil are you serious. We have case to solve and you care about us. I can't come with you. Sorry!

Neil : IPS Avni Neil khanna I'm not taking you out on date. I'm taking out because it's related to us. And please think before you say no.

Avni : are you talking about the case? right!

Neil : yes I was! Now can you come with me?

Avni nodding her head took her phone and her things. She follows Neil. They sat in police jeep and Neil drove.

They stopped front of a house and avni gave Neil confusing look to which he shrugged and comes out of the jeep. Avni shaking her head also comes out and looks around the house.

Avni : whose house is this Neil?

Neil : follow me!

Neil starts walking ahead and avni simply followed Neil. Neil rang the door bell. Someone opens the door making avni shocks. Whereas Neil shook his hand with that person.

Person : hey avni! Come in!

They walked inside the house.

Person : please have a seat. I'll be back.

Neil nodded his head and sat down with avni who was confusing whatever was happening around her.

The person comes with coffee and passed cup to AvNeil. They thanked the person and took sip.

Avni : mithali.. what are you doing here?

Mithali : avni this is my house. Neil you never told avni about me.

Neil : Mithali I didn't get time.. listen leave all this and let's come on the point..

Mithali : oh yeah, give a minute.

Mithali soon comes back with her laptop and faced to Neil and avni who looked shocked seeing the screen.

Avni: when did you guys find the location where human trafficking takes place?

Neil : it wasn't very easy to find the place avni but eventually we located the place. I can't tell how and when we did this.. but mostly important we know where human trafficking takes place.

Avni suspiciously looks at Neil.

Avni : Neil khanna spill it out.. you said you tell me everything.

Neil : there is still time left Avni... and I need your help.

Avni : I won't help you till you don't tell me what is your plan.

Neil looks at avni who was not ready to melt seeing his face. Neil sighed and narrated his plan.. as he finished avni stood up and holding his hand drags him outside of the house. Mithali yelled their name out but avni didn't stop.

She opens the passenger side door and paused Neil inside. She sat on driver seat and starts driving jeep while passing looks at Neil who feared seeing her anger.

Neil : av....

Avni : keep quiet Neil khanna. I don't want a word coming out of your mouth. Got it!

Neil kept his finger on his lips and nodded his head.

Avni increased the speed making Neil scared the way avni was driving.. avni puts final break and looks at Neil who closed his eyes in fear.

Avni : in my cabin right now.

Avni opening her side door and slamming the door loudly went inside the police station.

Neil watched her going and looks up. He folded his hand up.

Neil : rest in peace Neil khanna!

Neil muttering to himself gets down on the jeep ran inside. He pantingly ran inside Avni's cabin and kept hand on his chest to catch his breath back.

He looks at avni who sat on chair crossing her legs and arms. He knew she was waiting for him only.

Avni : Neil khanna grace your presence in my cabin.

Neil closing the door close inside and tried sitting but before that avni stopped him. He gave helpless look to which avni didn't heed.

Neil : can I take seat please?

Avni : no way! Neil khanna where do you get dumbest idea in your head?

Neil : hey my idea is not stupid. In fact it's good..we located the location.

Avni : oh yeah you did.. but how did you locate the location? Mind telling me?

Neil bowed his head down knowing he was wrong whatever way he took to find the location.

Avni : Neil khanna don't bow your head down when I'm talking to you. Look into my eyes I'm talking to you.

Neil snaps his head and looks at avni who walks near him.

Avni : why Neil? Why did you do that? We could have figured something else too? Why did you think that was only option left?

Neil : avni...

Avni : I didn't expect this from you Neil.. you... forget it.. now tell what is your next step.. I don't want risk it because of the plan didn't work.

Neil : actually....... I..............

Avni felt like banging her head on the desk knowing his next step.

Avni : seriously Neil..I don't get why are you so dumb?

Neil : I'm not dumb avni..

Avni : should I proof you're dumb?

Neil starts making face.. their tranche was broke by phone ring.
