A week later at night after dinner in Metha house.

avni was lying down on her back and staring at the ceiling looking deeply lost in her thoughts..in second later she felt cold arms wrapping around her bare waist.. she got startled and looks side way to see Neil making himself comfortable on left side of the bed..

Her eyes went wide seeing him at this time.. she shockingly stares at Neil who was unaware of her expression..

Avni : neillllll...

She screamed his name making him startled.. he quickly palmed her mouth..

Neil :shhhss.. stop screaming my name.. are you planning to wake your neighbours and family..

Avni struggles to speak as he palmed her mouth... she showered him her eyes.. Neil removed his palm and laid back on bed while pulling avni in his arms..

Avni : Neil.. What are you doing here?

Neil: avni isn't obvious I have come here to spent my time with you..

Avni : but Neil.. how did you come inside my room? If someone saw you.. Neil you didn't had to come here.. Neil you should leave before someone comes here..

Neil : avni.. keep quiet... no one will know about me coming.. okay.. relax.. everyone is sleeping..

Avni : but Neil.. how did you come in my room?

Neil : through that..

He said pointing at the window which was open... avni gasped hearing him and turning face looks at Neil who gave her nervous smile...

Avni : Neil how could you come inside from window? Did you get hurt? Neil khanna why you love taking risk with your life? Neil say something..

Neil : calm down avni.. let me explain you.. I'm not hurt.. don't worry.. who said I'm love risking my life? For you I can even  di.......

He was not able to complete as Avni placed her palm on his mouth ...

Avni : don't.. talk about that.. don't. You don't know what will happen without you.. never in dream I can think living my life without  you... don't ever say about your death..

she removed her palm and teary looks at him.. Neil rubs his thumb and wipes her tears off and moving close to her forehead kissed her forehead..

Neil : I won't ever leave you.. my life is incomplete without you.. I'm sorry..

Avni : hmm..

She hummed and laid on her head on his chest and snuggled to him wrapping her arms around his waist..

10 minutes passed them being silent and playing with their fingers.. after a second looks down and saw avni rubbing his ring finger.. he smiles and softly calls her name..

Neil : avni..

Avni : hmm..

Neil : from tomorrow....

He didn't complete as he saw her expression changing..

Avni: Neil I don't want to talk about tomorrow please..

Neil : hmm.. so what should we do now?

Avni : stay like this.. this is peaceful being in your arms..

Neil : I don't have problem being here but didn't I heard someone saying  ' someone will caught us' didn't someone said that..

As he completed he got punch in his stomach..

Avni : Neil stop it na..

Neil : okay baba.. but on serious note we have to discuss about tomorrow.. before you interrupt me.. I know you don't want to but we can't escape from truth.. the truth is tomorrow morning we are leaving to our respective duty... avnu I know it will be difficult for both of us but we have to manage.. right..

He looks down and saw her staring at his hand..

Neil : aren't you going to say anything?

Avni titling her head looks up and smiles at him..

Avni : you told me not to remember about our separation and feel sad so that's what I am doing..as you said this phase will pass soon then why should I think too much about this.. hmm.. you tell me didn't you said that..

Neil : yes I did.. but avnu.. are you sure you will not be upset being alone there..

Avni : no Neil.. I will handle myself there..

Neil : hmm.. we should sleep now.. tomorrow morning we have flight..

Avni :but I'm not feeling sleepy.. I can't sleep..

Neil : wasn't you sleeping before I came in your room?

Avni : no.. I was thinking about something... Neil please let's not sleep.. let's talk..

Neil : as you say madam.. what do you want to talk about?

Avni : anything.. like our childhood.. our college life.. our school life.. I want to know more about you..

Neil : really.. there is a lots things you need to know but for that we need time too... let's do one things.. let's talk about our childhood then sleep afterwards as we have to get up early tomorrow morning too..

Avni : okay.. you starts..

Neil nodded his head and pulling duvet over them starts narrating his childhood.. while he was narrating avni would Burst into laugh whenever Neil told her about his naughtiness... her laugh made him smile and continued telling her more about his childhood..

Hour passed later Neil talking about his childhood.. at one moment Neil stopped speaking and looks down to see avni sleeping with smile playing on her lips.. he smiled and kissed her forehead muttering..

Neil : good night avnu.. I love you..

He once again pecks her forehead and stretched his hand to get hold of Avni's phone.. he went to alarm app and set early alarm for tomorrow morning...

He kept the back on table side and closed his eyes allowing sleep over take him.

Next morning sun rays peeped through Avni's room and flashing on her eyes making her stir in sleep.. avni snuggles to Neil's side but not feeling his presence she jerkingly opens her eyes and sat on bed..

She roamed her eyes around but didn't find Neil there.. she frowned thinking where could he go this early.. she puts her feet on floor and stood up making her hair in bun.. she walks to washroom and knocks thinking Neil would be inside the washroom..

Avni : Neil.. are you inside.. Neil..

She knocks one more time but didn't get any answer.. she sighed and went to back to bed and sat down picking her phone when her eyes fell on the note attached to her phone.. she took the note out and read it out..

Good morning avnu..I know you would be looking around for me but don't take tension about me.. I have come back to khanna house.. you fresh up and have breakfast and get ready to  leave.. Ashish papa will come and drop you to airport .. I and ananya will be waiting for you there.. see you soon there..

Avni sighed and kept the note back on table and stood up making her way to het closet.. avni opening her closet took her towel and clothes out..

Avni then went to washroom to freshen up.

An hour later avni walks down the stair carrying her suitcase.. she was holding her handbag in one hand and another one holding her suitcase...

Avni kept her suitcase side and hugged Ashish who was talking to dayavnti..

Avni : good morning papa!

Ashish : good morning princess.. ready..

Avni : yes papa..

She comes front of him and wished good morning to dayavnti too..

Ashish : we will leave in  hour after breakfast., acha Neil called me informing me that he will come straight to airport with ananya..

Avni nodded her head and excusing herself moves to kitchen...

After another hour later Ashish and avni was ready to leave to airport.. Ashish was keeping Avni's luggage in car while avni was bidding bye to her family.. avni hugging Neela, Aman and dayavnti sat in car and waved her hand to her family..

Ashish drove away. While at airport Neil with ananya and Prakash was waiting for avni and Ashish to come.. ananya saw avni coming with Ashish... she nudge Neil who was busy on his Phone.. he looks at her and glared her but then followed her gaze and saw avni..

Neil : hello Ashish papa.. hey avni!

Avni : hi!

Ashish : hey Neil.. how are you?

Neil : good papa!

Soon they was announce for their flights.. so AvNeil was leaving for their respective place while ananya was going back to USA.. trio hugged Ashish and Prakash and starts moving to checking her area..

Ananya : Bhabhi Bhai.. my checking is other side.. I have to go that side..

Neil hugs and caressed her head..

Neil : I will miss you.. try to come back soon..

Ananya : I will miss you too Bhai.. I'll try Bhai.. take care of yourself and Meher. I'll miss our days..

Neil : same.. that's why we need you... take care.. give me call once you reach there..

Ananya nodded her head and broke hug and saw avni smiling at them.. she moves to avni and hugs her too..

Ananya : take care Bhabhi.. I'll miss you too.

Avni : I'll miss you ananya.. take care..

Ananya broke hug and bidding bye to them moves to other side of checking with her luggage.. as ananya left Neil looks at avni who looks at him too.. both shared intense eye lock until announce broke their eye lock.. avni quickly turned other side controlling her tears..

As she turned her face other side Neil knew she was trying to control her tears.. Neil sighed before placing his hands around her shoulder and turning her to his face.. Neil left her shoulder and immediately cupped her face and wipes the tears before it could roll down her cheeks..

Neil : didn't you promise you won't cry... please avni don't cry .. how will we go if we are going to be sad thinking we are not going to stay together till few weeks.. don't fall weak.. please..

Avni nodding her head and drinking her tears off and crashed into his Arms.. he securely held her close to his heart.... after sometime later Neil broke hug and kissed her forehead..

Neil : take care..I love you. I'll miss you a lot..

Avni : I love you too.. I miss you too.. you take care.. keep taking your meals on time.. don't give me any chance to scold you once you come back.. hmm. Okay.. miss me a lot.. call me every night before sleeping..

Neil : I know avni.. I'll take myself.. even you don't overwork.. give yourself break.. okay..

Avni nodded her head and looks there there and find people around.. she held his hand and dragged him to left side and saw Neil stared at her with confuse face..

Avni : I want to kiss....

Neil smirks..

Neil : being bold.. avni.. I didn't knew that..

Avni didn't say anything and moves close to him and placed her lips on his for a kiss.. she kissed making him shock.. Neil was shocked as he didn't knew his avni was this bold.. but shrugging his thoughts he kissed her back.. they kissed pouring their loves in the kiss.. Neil broke the kiss once they were breathless.. both of them looks at each other before crashing in each other arms once again.

They felt content hugging each other tightly. They forgot about their little separation.. Neil broke hug and kissed her forehead..

Neil : we should starts checking in now.. come!

Avni nodded her head..Neil and avni moves to their respective side checking and starts checking in room..

Both it them turned back and saw each other before moving to flight side.. they waved their hands at each other and passed smile.. they turned back and walked to their flights..

3 hours later in Bangalore.. Neil checked himself in hotel and was resting in his room when something clicked in his head.. he immediately sat up and took out his phone from his jeans pocket and dialled a number..

Neil : hello avni.. have you reached?

Avni : hey Neil! Yes I have. I'm going in car right now... I'll call back once I reach hotel..

Neil : okay! Bye!

Avni : bye!

Neil ended the call and thought to inform his family and commissioner sir about his arrival..first he called swetha and informed her.. he spoke to swetha for 30 minutes.. after ending swetha call he called commissioner sir to inform about his arrival and asked some information about the case..

After ending commissioner sir call Neil thought to take little nap.. he kept his phone side and laid down on bed and closed his eyes..

While In Delhi..

Avni reaching hotel first freshened up and ordered light lunch for herself.. she then sat down and took her phone to call Neil but stopped thinking he would be taking rest..

She was fighting against her mind thinking to call or not but at last she dialled Neil's number.. she heard call ringing.. she tried another time when she heard his sleepy voice..

Neil: hello!

Avni : sorry Neil.. did I disturb your sleep? Sorry..

Neil : it's okay avni.. I was only taking nap.. are you in hotel now.. did you eat something? Did you order something? Why didn't you order sometime to eat before calling me? It's okay..I'm ending the call.. you eat something then we will talk.. okay..

Avni : Neil stop.. don't end the call.. I have already order my lunch.. it will be coming.. you don't worry.. did you eat anything?

Neil : yes I had sandwich to eat before I slept. I have informed home about arrival..

Avni : okay Neil.. I'll call neela maa later and inform her too.. what are you doing? I miss you..

Neil : I was sleeping.. even I miss you but duty is duty..

Avni : hmm.. wait up Neil.. I think lunch is here.

Avni keeping phone near her ears moves to door and saw the room service with her lunch.. she thanked him and took her lunch.. she closed the door and comes back..

Avni : now speak.. what were you saying?

Neil : have you lunch then we will talk..

Avni : it's okay.. I'll talk to you while having my lunch.. you continue.. please..

Neil : you will never listen to me right.. have your lunch peaceful then we will talk.. I'll call you later.. okay..

Avni : okay.. bye!

Neil : bye avni..

Avni ended the call and moves to washroom washing her hands up. After washing her hand avni ate her lunch ...

After few days later AvNeil got so engaged with each other case that they didn't get time to for themselves.. it was another day where both of them had very hectic day in station..

In Delhi.. avn came out of shower when her phone rang.. she knew it would be Neil.. she quickly moves to her bed side table and picks the call to see Neil calling her.. she smiles and sat down on bed picking his call.

Avni : hello Neil..

Neil : wow miss Metha so excited talk to me..

Avni : Neil..

Neil : okay sorry baba.. I'm sorry for not calling you thinking you would be sleeping.. my duty finished late.. sorry I couldn't manage to call you from past three days.. I hope my girlfriend is not upset with em..

Avni : Neil khanna your girlfriends is understandable.. I understand why you didn't call me.. I'm sorry too.. even I was busy with case.. how are you? Is everything okay there?

Neil : you don't have to be sorry avni.. I do understand your situation too.. yes all good here.. everything is under control.. what about you? Facing any problem there? Are you happy there?

Avni : no I'm not facing any problem.. in fact everyone is happy with my work and supports me a lot.. I got very supportive team and colleagues..

Neil: acha.. that's good to know... I really miss you avni..

Avni : even I miss you Neil..

Neil : what are you doing? Had dinner?

Avni : not yet.. I have just come out ur shower?

Neil : shower...

He said smirking over the phone..

Avni : don't use your stupid brain..

Neil : do I have stupid brain? I thought my brain is smarter than yours..

Avni : did you really said you have smarter brain then mine? Did I hear it right? Did I?

Neil : avni..

Avni laughed at his irritating voice..

Avni : haha Neil.. I can't imagine your face right now... wait let me video call you.

She immediately video called him.. soon as he picks the call she saw his eyes getting wide open.. she got confused and followed his gaze which was on her.. she looks down and bits her lips being embarrassed....

She immediately jumped on bed and covered herself with duvet and blushed feeling gaze on her.. in excitement seeing Neil on video call forget that she was sitting and talking to him in bathrobe only....

Neil: avni.. nice view it was.. If i knew this beforehand then I would have video called you..

He said with smirk on his face making her blush more..

Avni : Neil..

Neil : what? I was stating fact. Didn't I?

Avni : Neil.. please..

Neil : what please?

Avni didn't say anything but cut the video call and hid her face under duvet and starts cursing herself for this situation..

I'm back after Monday break.
