Next morning at Metha house!

Avni was getting ready when she heard Neela  voice.. avni turns around and saw Neela coming holding something in her hand..

Avni : good morning maa!

Neela : good morning avni.. do you have few minutes with you?

Avni : yes maa.. just give me few minutes..

Neela : take your time ! I'll be waiting for you in my room. Once you ready, please come there.

Avni nodded her head while Neela left.. avni turning back up to mirror continued getting ready.

10 minutes later avni taking her things moves to Neela room and knocks..

Neela said 'come in'.

Avni enters inside and saw Neela sitting on bed with her head resting on headboard..

Avni : maa..

Neela : come in.. have seat avni..

Avni sat opposite Neela and looks at Neela.

Neela held Avni's hand and looks at her..

Avni : maa.. you wanted to speak to me?

Neela : yes avni.. I do..

Avni : what's the matter maa?

Neela : Avni.. what do you think about marriage?

Avni's eyes went wide hearing the word 'marriage'.

Avni : maa.. marriage?

Neela : yes marriage avni.. see you are age of getting marriage. Many proposals you have rejected because you was not ready for marriage.. now you are ready. You work too.. what do you think should we look groom for you..

Avni was still shocked hearing marriage when another bomb dropped on her head about groom.

( author note: Metha family knows Neil loves avni but they don't know about Avni's feelings towards Neil. Though they can see it in Avni's eyes but avni hasn't shared anything about her  feelings to her family. Nor avni is aware of her family knowing Neil's feelings towards her)

Avni registered Neela words and composed herself..

Avni : maa.. isn't needed to get married.. can't I spend my entire being single.. why do I have to get marry?

Neela shook her head in disbelief..

Neela: avni.. are you in your sense.. really you want to be single all life of yours.. acha leave this.. tell don't you want partner who will love unconditionally and share every moments with you.. bacha try to understand marriage is important for boy and girl. Is there something I need to know? I mean.. do you love someone.. or you like someone. You can tell me.. I'll make sure he marries you..

Avni immediately looks down.. how can she say she still loves him and always will love him only..

Neela : avni.. is there someone in your life..

Thanks to Avni's phone which rang on correct time..

Avni : sorry maa.. I have to leave.. we can talk on this conversation later on..

Avni stood up and turned around to leave but stopped hearing Neela  voice...

Neela : don't think you can escape from this matter avni? I need your answer avni.. think about this marriage..

Avni didn't say word but left the room while Neela looks at her figure retiring..

Neela ( povs) let's see how long you will hide your feelings for Neil from us.. I'm mother avni.  I'll make you confess your love to us.. mark my  words avni..

Neela was determined making Avni confess this side..

While other side in khanna house.

Everything was different case happening... everyone was sitting in hall expect Neil and Meher who was still sleeping according to elders but didn't knew what siblings was up to..

Prakash as usually was reading newspaper and sipping his tea while the ladies were eye talking with each other which didn't go unnoticed by Prakash who looked confuse seeing them having eye conversation..

Prakash having enough kept his cup down and cleared his throat which caught ladies attention.. both of them looks at Prakash..

Bebe : sunny what happened?

Prakash : Bebe.. what's going on with this eye talk with you and swetha.. mind telling me too..

Swetha and Bebe looks at each other then at Prakash..

Swetha : Prakash ji.. we are..

Prakash : we what?

Bebe : uff sunny.. she means that Neil hasn't come down yet.. even with Meher.. I can understand Meher but Neil..

Suddenly that strikes to Prakash head too ...

Prakash : how did he sleep this late? First time in six month he slept this late..

Swetha : I know.. should we check on him..

Prakash: if he is sleeping then let him.. let him have peaceful sleep.. I will call police station and inform Neil will come late..

Bebe and swetha nodded their head..Prakash kept paper side and stood up to make call...

At police station Avni walks inside while smiling at constables and went to her and settled down.. as she sat she heard suhneria voice..

Avni : morning suhneria!

Suhneria: good morning ma'am..

Avni : any information..

Suhneria: yes ma'am commissioner sir is calling you in his cabin..

Avni : let's go..

Suhneria nodded and avni got up making her away to commissioner sir cabin.. she knocks then enters after getting permission..

As she enters she saw dd alone standing front of commissioner sir.. she got confuse not finding Neil there.. she chucked her thought and greeted to them..

Avni : good morning sir..

Com: good avni suhneria.. I have called you to discuss something..

He said looking at avni and dd..

Avni : yes sir..

Com : dd make sure you inform all this to Neil later on ..

Dd : yes sir..

Com: there is new complaint file in our station that small kids are missing either from school or parks.. I want you to look over this case and find who is behind this.. and yes officer Neil won't be working with you this time..

Avni shockingly stares at commissioner sir but nodded her head..

Com: don't you want to know why he is not going to work with you?

Avni : why sir?

Com: because officer Neil going to handle other case.. I want you both work on different cases.. he surely can help you..

Avni : okay sir.. can I leave if we are done..

Com : sir.. come back after three hours once officer Neil comes back..

Avni nodded her head and went followed by suhneria while Dd looks at commissioner...

Dd : sir does Neil sir know about this case?

Com : yes he does.. he was the one to suggest this idea to me.. I thought both will work together but Neil himself refused it.. he wants to handle other cases...

Dd : but sir why didn't you call me here then as Neil sir was aware of all this..

Com : dd you will be working with Neil so you should have know this..

Dd : okay sir.. what I do have to do?

Com : you will be guiding avni and Neil at the same time.. you will be working with both of them but mostly with Neil...

Dd : okay sir..

Dd left after talking to commissioner sir..

In Avni's cabin..

Avni : suhneria is Neil in his cabin?

Suhneria: no ma'am I heard Dd saying Neil sir is coming late today..

Avni ( povs) is he okay? Why is he coming late? Should I call Meher and ask about him?

She was thinking to call or not when her phone rang.. she saw pick her phone up and see Neela message.. she opens her WhatsApp and got shocked seeing so many boys picture..

Seeing her shock voice suhneria calls avni..

Suhneria: ma'am are you okay..

Avni  shuts her and phone and looks at suhneria nodding her head..

Avni : suhneria could you leave me alone for sometime please..

Suhneria: sure!

She left while avni  closed the file and leaned her head back to chair...

Avni ( povs) why does maa wants me marry? She never spoke to me about my marriage in this six months then now why? How can I tell them I don't want marry anyone... I can't marry them because my heart wants to him only.. how can I tell them? I know I and him are not in good terms but still I love him.. now what should I do... maa why you confusing me so much.  Bhagwan ji help me... I can't even tell  them about Neil to them... why this becoming complicated? Avni think what to do? Should I talk to Neil... no... he will not talk to me..

Avni got up and picks her phone and walked out of her cabin and left police station without informing others..

While other side..

Neil opens his eyes and saw Meher legs on his legs.. he chuckles at her and carefully moves her leg up and stood up.. His eyes fell on the clock and got shocked seeing the  time..

Neil : oh shit.. how could i sleep this later?

He rushed to washroom freshen up..

After 1 hour Neil was ready in his uniform and saw Meher still sleeping.. he moves to her and pecks her forehead and calls her name..

Neil : Meher.. Meher wake up..

Meher stirs in sleep and opens her eyes and smiled looking at Neil..

Neil : good morning.. get up..

Meher : morning Bhai.. let me sleep here more..

Neil : no.. stop being lazy.. don't you want to go college?

Meher : nope.. this is best... I will sleep today..

Neil : Meher.. get up.. I'm going to work now..

Meher : meeting Bhabhi there...

She didn't realise what she said but hearing Neil she bits her lips and nervously looks at Neil....

Neil : Bhabhi... don't you think you're dreaming too much.. now get up..

Meher : sorry Bhai.. I didn't mean that..

Neil : it's fine.. I know you didn't mean it.. go and fresh up in your room..

Meher : okay..

Meher ran to her room while Neil watched her going but his expression turned into sad recalling Meher word..

Neil : Bhabhi.. I was that could true Meher.. but unfortunately that  not true.. she thinks I don't love her... she has starts questioning my love for her.. maybe this is my punishment.. it's okay.. I'm happy like it.. she doesn't want to me in her life.. how could she say I don't love her ..

He recalled yesterday how he went to see avni to talk regarding case but stopped hearing Avni's voice.. he stood at the door and heard her doubting his love for her.. his eyes got teary.. he wipes his tears and walks back to his cabin..

Neil walked sat in his cabin and got lost in his thought.

Neil ( povs) she isn't the same avni who I knew... she is changed..Why she only see I have hurt her but what about her.. doesn't she see she is hurting me.. if she wants me to move than let it be.. even she didn't understand my love for her..

His thoughts were disturbed by a call.. he looks at his phone and saw caller Id.. he composed himself and picks his phone up..

Back to present. Neil stood up and took his stiff and walked downstairs.. while walking down Bebe and swetha in hall..

Neil moves to them and wished them good morning..

Neil : good morning!

Swetha/ Bebe : good morning Neil..

Neil : mom I'll be late today as I'm going out of Mumbai for hours.. so don't wait for me..

Swetha : will you stay there or come back?

Neil : I'm planing to come back but can't say I'll be back as that depends how quick I finish my work..

Swetha nods.. Neil left for police station.. this time before leaving Neil garbed sandwich from kitchen and left while eating which shocked both ladies but of them were happy for Neil..

At police station  Neil reached and walks inside  when he felt her presence next to him.. he turned his gaze and saw her entering inside the police while being busy on phone.. he quickly diverted his gaze and walks faster.. he stopped at moment when he heard his name being  called out.. he shut his eyes and opens the quickly and turned around and saw avni looking at him..

Avni : could you come to my cabin?

Neil : ah..

Neil fumbled but nodded his head.. he walked to Avni's cabin before she could..

Neil waited for avni to come when door flung open..he saw avni walking to her chair and sitting down..

As avni sat Neil spoke..

Neil : did you call me?

Avni : yes I did.. I want talk to you..

Neil : what talk?

Avni : could you please take seat?

Neil : no I'm fine like this.. you can continue..

Avni : Neil.. maa wants me to get married..

Neil : oh, okay.. so what's your answer?

Avni was shocked hearing him.. she didn't thought he would answer like that..

Avni : Neil.. are you saying I should marry someone?

Neil : yeah.. what do you want me to do? I mean why you telling all this? This is your life.. whoever you marry shouldn't bother me..

Avni : Neil.. what's wrong with you?

Neil : what's wrong with me avni? Seriously you asking me this.. did you forget something.. or should i remind you..

Avni : Neil.. Stop shouting..

Neil : why should I stop shouting avni?

Avni : Neil.. why you doing all this? I'm worried about maa words and you are not understanding anything..

Neil : yeah.. like i don't understand anything.. you right Avni.. I don't understand anything.. and why you telling me all this.. who am I to you? We don't have any relation between us then why you sharing your marriage thought to me.. huh.. avni listen it's your life and do whatever you wish to..

Avni : Neil.. how can you say that...

Neil : say what? Avni.. one mistake of mine you are punishing me this much.. I agree that time I was blind and selfish in your love.. I get it.. I didn't trust you or your capabilities but what's my mistake in that.. you tell me would you be happy seeing me dying front of yours eyes.. that mission was risky.. you could have lost your life.. but why would you care.. you didn't thought about your family or me.. you know what avni.. you think I have hurt you then what about you.. didn't you hurt me.. didn't you hurt me.. everyday in six month I was hoping you will forgive me but you no.. you always tried finding way to hurt me... why Avni? Did I do any crime by caring and loving you? Did i do crime loving you.. you're still punishing me.. we could have talked but know.. you want me to realise my mistake.. which I have.. I'm sorry for hurting you and doubting your abilities.. your love to your duty sincerely... please forgive me.. from now I won't repeat my mistake again.. forgive me.. if you want i can beg your forgiveness.. that's what you wanted for you... right.. and one thing you said before six months.. that I should move on from you.. today I'm telling you I'm ready to forget you and move on... I won't say the love which I have for you can be given to any other girl.. but for you I'll try to move on..

Neil looking once time left the cabin leaving avni in guilt..

A week later..

Avni was lying down on stomach and crying digging her face into pillow.. Neil's words kept ringing her head.. she regret whatever she did with Neil.. it's been week since she met Neil and his outburst on her.. she took week enough from work and would stay in her room.. everyone was aware of her condition as Neil himself told everyone that he will try to move on from avni.. this was shocking to both family especially elders who was trying to patch them together.. this broke their heart.. they understood both of point views but was helpless seeing them in pain..

Avni was sobbing when she heard knock.. she sat on bed and wipes her tears..

Avni : come in..

She looks at door and saw Meher..

Meher : can I come in?

Avni nodded her head..

Meher comes in and looks at avni..

Meher : sorry.. I shouldn't have come here but I couldn't hold myself from coming here..I came to give you this..

She handed the box which she was holding and gave to avni and left the room before avni could question Meher about the box... Avni stares the box..
