At police station Neil was in his cabin and engrossed himself in file when he heard knock.. he looks up and saw suhneria holding plastics bags in her hand..

Neil : yes suhneria!

Suhneria: sir.. dd sent breakfast for you.. shall I keep it here for you?

Neil : no need.. you can take it back.. I'm not hungry..

Suhneria: but sir..

Neil : suhneria do as I say.. I am not hungry and yes tell dd not hide outside of cabin.. he can enter side my cabin and to see if I am having my food or not.. leave me alone please..

Suhneria looks at him once before leaving his cabin.. while Neil again got busy with the file which he was reading before suhneria came to disturb him..

As suhneria comes out she saw avni curiously looking at her.. suhneria shook her head and handed bags go avni who immediately guessed what happened inside the cabin.. though she didn't hear their conversation but stood outside of cabin and waited for suhneria to come out..

Avni : he refused to eat...

Suhneria: yes ma'am .. he also said he is it not hungry... and..

Avni : and..

Suhneria: said to tell dd not to stand outside.. I think Neil sir got to know it's not dd who sent this but you ma'am..

Avni : hmm! He is too smart to guess but he doesn't use his smartest on correct time.. it's okay.. you go and do your work.. I'll see him how he doesn't eat his breakfast..

Suhneria nodded her head and leaves from there while avni sighing walks to Neil's cabin and stood front of him.. she saw him working with full focus... she clears her throat lightly but seeing no reaction from Neil made her angry..

Avni ( povs) calm down Avni.. calm down.. he is only testing your patient.. calm down. Avni come on you can't simply stand here.. do something..

Avni: ahemmmm..

She once again cleared her throat but this time bit louder which made Neil react lightly..

Neil: if you're having some problem in your throat then grab water and drink it.. don't need to clear your throat this much which will pain later now..have some water..

His gaze was still on file which angered avni more... avni took paperweight from his desk and aimed to hit his head...

Avni : Neil khanna look up or bear the consequences not looking at me and talking to me..

Neil hearing her angrily voice finally looks up and saw her angrily glaring at him.. then his eyes fell on her hand which was holding paperweight and aiming at him.... Neil diverted his gaze to her face..

Neil : avni.. keep that down..

Avni : why should I keep it down?

Neil : avni... listen don't throw towards me.. you will broke my face with that..

Avni : oh really.. I think should test myself if this paperweight will broke your face or not...

Neil stood up and moves back from his seat but kept looking at the paperweight which avni was holding in her fist..

Neil : avni.. don't..

Avni : if you don't you want your broken face then have your breakfast...

Neil : didn't you get it.. I'm not hungry.. I would rather get hit by paperweight then having my  breakfast..

Avni : you won't have your breakfast.. fine.. then don't blame me after this..

Neil didn't understanding anything but soon his face expression turned into horrifying seeing her raising her hand up and  looking at him angrily...

Neil: avni.... noooooo...

But it's was too late as avni has already threw paperweight towards his face which made Neil shook.. he immediately bend down trying to save himself... luckily he bend down on correct time nor his face would have be swollen... poor him... Neil stood up after minute and looks at avni.... he saw her smirking...

Neil : are you mad avni? Do you even realise what you just did?

Avni : obviously I know what I did... do you want me to show another demonstration? I could you show once again.. you don't have any rights to skip your breakfast.. what will you get skipping your breakfast? Tell me why don't you take meals on time? Why Neil? If you think skipping your meals will make me forgive you.. no never Neil.. I want you to realise your mistake what you did 6 months back.. even after many months you have not realised your mistake Neil..and you want me to forgive you.. why Neil.. my heart has already forgiven you but I want you to realise your mistake which is clearly you don't know what mistake you have done.. have your breakfast front of me...

Neil listened to her while staring her face..

Neil : Avni.... I know my mistake...

Avni : you don't Neil.. if you would have known your mistake then we wouldn't be like strangers..

Avni kept the plastic bag on his desk..

Avni : I'm watching you... eat..

Neil : what if i don't eat?

Avni : you still have gut to fight with me.. don't make me angry..

Neil : this last time I'm telling I'm not hungry.. you can leave from here..

Avni : you won't listen to me.. fine..

She moves to him and held his hand.. holding his hand she brought him to his chair and pushed him down making him shock ....

Avni ignoring his shock face stood beside him and took food out from bag and broke into bite and  forward to his mouth...

Avni : open your mouth and have this..

Neil immediately being scared of her opens his mouth while avni shoved the bite in his mouth..

Avni fed him while he ate it being sacred of her.. She gave him last bite and took tissue and wipes her fingers.. she then looks at him who was staring her..

Avni : now say you're not hungry..

Neil open his mouth to say something but didn't because nothing came out of his mouth..

After another two hour later..

Avni was working in her cabin when her phone rang.. she looks at her phone and caller id..

Avni : why the hell he is calling me?

She picks the call..

Avni : hello!

Caller : hey avni? Are you still working?

Avni : no I was sleeping... care to explain why you called me this time... don't tell me you got bored of your wife..

Caller : what avni? I miss you...

Avni : haha.. you miss me.. did she let you miss me?

Caller :  I called you but you..

Avni : Okay sorry.. how is you and your vacation going on?

Caller : it's good but I miss you..

Avni : vidyut I miss you too.. but you only went week back..

Vidyut : so what.  How is you and Neil?

Avni : well I'm perfectly fine and about him, why don't you ask himself? You should know how he is? You are his friend too..

Vidyut : avni forgive him..

Avni: what do you think vidyut? I don't want to forgive him.. he hasn't realised his mistake.. what if he repeats same mistake again in future.

Vidyut: maybe he has realised his mistake.. avni talk to him.. solve your problems with him.. you both love each other then why you letting this problem affect your relationship?

Avni: does he even love me? I'm don't think so he does.. anyway where is Juhi?

Vidyut : what should I do with you? he obviously loves you.. and stop changing the topic..

Avni : yes.. because I don't want to about us when there is no us. If you want talk about others things than my personal life then I'm hanging the call up..

Vidyut : okay.. chill.. how is your case going on?

Avni : it's good!

Avni spoke to vidyut more than half hour.. she hanged call saying she has work.. she kept her phone side and got busy checking new case file when she heard knock.. she looks up and saw Neil..

Avni : yes mr khanna!

Neil : my duty is over..

Avni : hmm! You can go home..

Neil : when are you wrapping your things up?

Avni : hour later, why?

Neil : woh... actually..

Avni : wanna say something?

Neil : no.. arrr.. I should leave.. bye..

He left before Avni could reply to him.. as he left avni chuckles at him...

Hour later avni packs her stuff and made her way to her car.. she kept her things on back and sat down on driver seat.. she puts her seatbelt on and starts driving to Metha house..

She looks from mirror side and saw a car following her.. she knew whose car was it but didn't confront the  person..

Avni continued driving while turning the music on..

While other side Neil reaches home and went straight to his room.. he got changed himself and laid down on bed and got lost recalling Avni's words...

Neil:I agree I misunderstood avni I past.. I shouldn't have said those words to her.. but that I cared about her safety.. am I wrong to being selfish for her..

Neil then took his Phone and saw his wallpaper.. He sat on bed and traced the picture..

Neil : avni am I really wrong not understanding you.. did you really think I don't love you.. is it because of me we are drifting apart before being in relationship..

He shut his phone and laid back on bed and stared the ceiling while going to flashback the day mr sihna was arrested..

Flashback!

Vidyut parked the car front of the hotel which avni and vidyut was staying in.. avni quickly gets done while banging the door making other looks at her..

Vidyut looks back and saw Neil shock face..

Vidyut:Neil you behind avni.. her room number is 304..

Neil nodded his head and comes out of his room and went to Avni's room while praying to god..

He knocks her door and waits for her to open the door. After few minutes later the door open and Neil saw avni....

Avni : what are you doing here?

Neil : can I come in?

Avni : no.. you can't come in my room.. and why are you here for? What do you want for me?

Neil :avni can I come in and talk?

Avni moves side and let's him in.. Neil close door behind him and came to Avni and tried hugging her when avni moved back making him confuse..

Neil : avni...

Avni : no Neil.. we are none to each other.. I agree you have confessed your feelings but I haven't said what I feel for you yet.. your love is one sided.. please forget this feeling and move on.. I don't think we meant to be for each other.. there is no trust between us Neil.. move on.

Neil : what are you're saying avni? Are you even in your sense.. how can you say me to move on? How can you avni?

Neil shouted at her angrily but avni didn't gave any expression to him.. Neil's anger rosed up seeing her not reacting..

Neil matched to her and tightly held her shoulder..

Neil : why do you think I don't trust you avni? When I did say I don't trust you? Avni i trust you a lot.. how can you say that? Say something Avni? Why are you quite now?

Avni with her hands pushed him off her and looks at him..

Avni : you can't hurt me Neil... I'm not weak person.. do you even realised what you said to me that day.. I agree your best friend was kidnapped .. I was doing my duty only. Why don't you think I avni  Metha is police officer not normal human being.. you always have underestimated my strength and power.. Neil even I'm office.. I know how to take risk.. you thought about me being danger but you didn't thought what will I feel.. you didn't think about my feelings Neil.. you didn't.. you should if I wasn't capable this case then I would have been working in my department than working with you.. you know I have made biggest  mistake joining your department.. i thought you will at least understand my abilities and determination towards my work but you failed me.. Neil I don't know what our future hold for us.. but now I'm sure this is where I'm going to be.. you are only police officer to me.. that's all.. my feelings and yours doesn't matter to me anyone.. i can't love person who doesn't understand  me and my dedication to my work.. I'm sorry.. and move on from me..

Avni wiping her tears moves to washroom while Neil was shocked hearing her Burst out.. he stood there registering Avni's words.. while recalling her words he stepped back and stumbled himself but managed to balance himself.. he didn't realise when fresh tears rolled his cheeks....

Flashback ends!

Neil came back to reality hearing Meher voice who was shaking her shoulder.. Neil looks at her then at the ceiling.. he sat up and saw Meher..

Meher : Bhai are you crying?

Neil : no.... how come you here?

Meher sat beside him and keeping her head on his shoulder..

Meher : Bhai I know you was crying for Di.. I know... but Bhai do you think she was wrong?

Neil looks at her..

Neil : Meher come on point..

Meher : i mean.. Bhai knew her but by her name but by work.. you knew who she was during work.. I don't think she is wrong.

Neil : Meher.. can you go and sleep.. and don't call avni to complain about my eating habits.. I know you the one who calls but now stop..

Meher : why should I stop you? You're not even listening to us.. only she can order you so..

Neil : go and sleep..

Meher : Bhai can I sleep with you..

Neil : go sleep in your room..

Meher : why you so mean? Fine I'm going.. good night..

Neil : bye..

Meher left while stood up and opens his cupboard and took box out and laid it on bed.. he opens it and smiled...

He was staring at the box when he heard  voice.. he look to door and saw Meher standing with smirk.. Neil glares her but Meher comes in and sat on bed and saw the box..

Meher : wow Bhai this is so beautiful.. who is this for?

Neil immediately close the box and hid under his pillow..

Neil :didn't you go?

Meher : no I want to slept with you but you are not letting me..

Neil sighs..

Neil : you can sleep here.. but don't irritate me..

Meher  hugs and smiled.. she laid on left side and covers herself with duvet while Neil watched her with small smile playing on his lips..

Another  long chapter and with that we have completed two years for two unknown..
