Kagami was sitting at the breakfast table, watching Aoumi sleep all curled up in the middle. It was so entrancing to watch her. Her flank gently rose and fell with her breathing. The only downside was that he couldn't see her lovely, blue eyes. He reached out and gently pet her fluffy, black fur.

This was already the fifth day she'd been with him. Ever since he brought her into his apartment, she hadn't left. The thought that she might actually like living with him put a smile on his face.

He stood up and went to the kitchen. Since Aoumi seemed to want to stay with him, he'd actually gotten cat food and cat toys. He poured some of the dry food into a bowl for her and made sure there was a bowl of water next to it. He didn't want to leave, but he had to go to work. At least she'd be able to eat while he was gone.

He picked up his bag and keys and walked out of the apartment. It was a regular sunny day, nothing unusual about it. The clear blue skies made his walk to work a more enjoyable one. He was smiling when he walked into the cafe.

"Morning, Kagami!" The warm voice greeted him.

Kagami looked up to see the familiar, closed-eye smile when he walked in. He smiled back and started to head behind the counter. "Aren't you here early, Tachibana?"

Tachibana shook his head, his light brown hair swishing across his face. "This is a normal time. I don't know why you've been getting in even earlier other days. What changed?"

Kagami looked at Tachibana as he pulled on his apron. His brow furrowed slightly. "What do you mean what changed?"

The brunette shrugged. "You're always here early, getting all the baking done, but this last week, you get in after I do." He grinned again. "Is there someone special maybe?"

Kagami laughed. "When you put it like that, I guess I have been different. There is someone special, but it's not what you're thinking."

Tachibana's brow raised. "Oh?"

"I adopted a cat." He laughed a little. "Or maybe she adopted me, I'm not sure."

"That sounds adorable." Tachibana laughed too.

"I was walking home one day and she followed me home and she kept doing it and now she just stays in my place." He pulled out his phone and got the pictures app open. He held it out to Tachibana to show him all the photos he'd gotten of Aoumi. "See how pretty she is? I hate leaving her in the mornings."

Tachibana looked over the photos Kagami showed him. He let out a small chuckle. "If I didn't know better, I'd say you were in love."

Kagami laughed too. "How could anyone not love a face like that? She's super sweet too, always wanting to cuddle with me."

"Kagami, you'll make me jealous and I already have three cats." He playfully nudged Kagami's side.

"I better not, you're already one cat away from becoming a crazy cat man."

"Crazy is a bit harsh," Tachibana said with a laugh.

"Don't worry, you have me and the cafe to keep you sane." He smirked.

"Only on quiet days like today." He smiled.
