CQ was astonished to hear what Geno had said.

Sure it had taken a lot of convincing and reassurance for the boy to even speak a single word and what he revealed went beyond CQ's expectations. Apparently, Geno can hear an old man's voice. It was telling him to... do some ugly stuff and had been having hellish nightmares at night. Blood, corpse, and fire? That's not what a child usually dreams about.

It was scary, even for her. And to think her son, a mere child, was seeing these... hallucinations and hearing... oh gosh, what else did the voice told him? CQ was beyond worried. Her son was in a constant state of being mentally tortured and she didn't even know.

She has no idea her son was going through this. She felt horrible. She felt as if she's a failure of a mother. Her son must've been so scared.

And the psychiatrist kept mumbling to her about her son's great potential of being a psychotic murderer in the future. Which made CQ seethe in anger because she knew very well that her son was never capable of hurting anyone. Much less kill.

The psychiatrist even suggested to let her son stay at the asylum for a while so they can monitor his behavior better but CQ aggressively reacts against it. "My son is not crazy," she said, her voice low but vehement as she protectively wrapped her arms around her child.

Without waiting for the psychiatrist's explanation, she stood up and briskly walked out the door with Geno secured in her arms. She didn't want to hear it anyway. Briefly thanking the psychiatrist, being as polite as she can despite being offended, before she went on her way.

Geno won't stop crying. Although silently, CQ knew Geno hates bothering anyone. And since they were in a public place, Geno hides his tearful face by burying it on his mother's shoulder. Clutching a fistful of her green sweater as he quietly sobs.

As they walk through the hallway, CQ suddenly felt Geno shook his head. As if responding to a question no one asked about, then mumbling something CQ couldn't comprehend despite the boy's close proximity.

CQ frowned and tightened her hold around Geno. "Is the voice talking to you?" she whispered to him and Geno timidly nodded without lifting his head from her shoulder.

CQ didn't like that. "What's it saying?" she asked and the answer she received was unsettling.

"Run."

CQ's heart nearly stopped. An overwhelming urge to turn around and look behind took over her. She stops dead on her tracks, gripping her son close to her body as she mechanically twists her neck to look behind her.

Her blood ran cold as her eyes widened in fright at what she saw.

There, in front of the door to psychiatrist' office where they were at, a familiar person was standing and staring back at her. Drenched in shadows that came from nowhere, their jacket's hood was up and casting darker shadows all over their face. With their broad shoulders, CQ guessed they're a guy.

The guy who broke into their house last night. He followed her here?

Swiftly turning her head back forward, as if pretending she didn't see him, she began walking at a fast pace while occasionally looking over her shoulder to see if the guy was following her. Thank goodness he's not.

The guy was just standing there but was clearly watching her leave. She can feel his gaze burning holes on the back of her head. She lost sight of him when she turned around the corner and into the lobby.

She quickly paid for the service while constantly looking at her surrounding. Keeping an eye out for the stranger and also keeping her hold tight around Geno.

After doing so, she quickly left the building and hopped into her car. She set Geno on the front passenger seat and quickly buckled his seat-belt. Geno wasn't oblivious to his mother's frantic actions after they stepped out of the office. He was concerned for her. She looks scared and panicky. And when she looked up after buckling his seatbelt, she froze. Her eyes wide with terror and Geno followed her line of sight to see a man looking through his side of the car window.

She let out a surprised yelp and quickly fumbled with her own seat-belt. But her hands were shaking so bad that she had to try again and again and it frustrates her. They need to leave, now!

After successfully buckling her seat-belt, she started the engine and hit the gas. They sped off and CQ didn't dare look back. Her heart racing as adrenaline pumps through her veins. Her hands and knees were visibly shaking. What the hell does he want?

"Momma, who was that?" Geno asked in an innocently cute tone that doesn't seem to fit in their current situation.

"Nobody, honey. Nobody" She said without looking away from the road as she grips the steering wheel so tight that her knuckles were turning white.

Comyet was lounging on the couch and watching some animated series with the kids when her phone suddenly rang on her pants' pocket. Catching everyone's attention as she stood up and fished the small device from her pocket.

She distanced herself from the kids to have a little privacy, standing by the window before answering the call.

There was a moment of silence as she listened to the other person talk. "They're fine." Comyet said after, looking out the window and unaware of the eavesdropper behind her. "No, nothing strange is happening here," she spoke again after a brief silence.

Error and Ink glance at each other before jumping off the couch and sneaking closer to the woman. Straining their ears to listen to their conversation. Only to flinch when...

"What?!" Comyet unintentionally yelled before slapping a hand over her mouth. She whipped her head around to find the kids staring at her. She silently cursed before briskly walking into the kitchen. Telling the children to stay there.

As if Error would listen to her. He and Ink followed her, then Fresh, by mere curiosity. They peeked through the doorway and watched as the woman paced back and forth. The phone pressed against her ear as she bit her nails on her free hand.

"How?!" Comyet asked and then she paused to listen.

"Are you okay?! Is Geno okay?! Where are you now?!" Comyet frantically asked again through the small device and upon hearing his brother's name, Error jumped out of his hiding spot and ran towards his aunt. Tugging a fistful of her shirt, demanding for attention and asking "What happened?!" as loud as he can.

Comyet held a finger over her lips, shushing Error as she continues to listen to her friend on the phone. Error didn't like being disregarded. It was about his brother and he has every right to know what's going on. He kept tugging and calling her aunt's name until Ink pulls him away. But Error struggled against Ink and Fresh was just standing there; watching them wrestle.

"Okay, okay. That's good." Comyet said after a while, then let out a breath of relief. "Alright, I'll keep an eye on the kids." she added. "oh and, Error wants to talk to you."

Comyet knelt down on one knee and held out the small communication device against the side of Error's head. "Momma?" Error called, uncertainty lacing his voice.

"Hello sweetie, what's wrong?" CQ's sweet voice came in from the phone. Instead of answering, Error went straight to the matter at hand. "Momma, what happened? Is Geno okay?" he asked, sounding really worried for his brother.

"He's okay, sweetie. You wanna talk to him?"

Error quickly agreed and there was a bit of shuffling on the other end before another voice came in.

"Hello?"

Upon hearing Geno's inquiring voice, Error's hands went to hold the phone on his own and Comyet let him. She retracted her hand before standing up and went to double check the house. After hearing the news from CQ, she wouldn't be comfortable until she knows the house was secured.

"Geno?" Error said, in the form of greeting and introducing himself.

"Error?" Geno recognized the voice.

"Yeah. What happened?" Error asked right away. There were a pause and Error knew his brother was hesitating to tell him. Error hates it when his brother won't tell him anything.

"Um... Momma said she saw the guy from last night." Geno said.

A sudden determination surges through Error as his eyes hardened and meet Ink's gaze, who tilted his head in confusion. Realizing that Ink can't hear anything, Error put it on speaker and simply held it in his hands rather than pressed against his ear. Allowing Ink and even Fresh to join in on their conversation.

"Then what happened? What did he do?" Error prompt the older.

More shuffling on the other end before Geno spoke again. "Momma is talking to the police right now, she said the guy was following us."

~~~~
Error impatiently waits by the window for his brother and mother to arrive. His baseball bat right by his side. Aunt Comyet had locked every door and windows after the call, making sure no one can sneak into their house.
Fresh has been quiet the whole time, Error noticed, which was very unusual for his brother. Maybe he finally understood the severity of their situation. Good.
Inks was growing uncomfortable. He was snuggled against his mother on the couch as they still continue to watch the series to distract themselves of the stress.
A honk was heard from outside and Error hurriedly unlocked the front door and ran out. Comyet and the two other kids followed to see CQ's car, a police car and a van parked in front of the house.
CQ stepped out of her car to be immediately met by Error who wrapped his little arms around her legs. "Momma, where's Geno?" he asked.
In response, CQ opened the back seat door, after freeing her legs from Error's clutches, and assisted Geno off the car. Once on the ground, Geno was engulfed in a warm hug by Error, then Ink and even Fresh. They're all bundled together in a tight ball of tangled limbs and bones.
While CQ and Comyet talk about some adult business with the police on the side of the road, more tall men on casual attire got off the white van and joined the conversation. After that, the men took a big box from the van and carried it inside their house.
The kids curiously followed suit, trailing behind the tall man wearing plain shirt and baggy jeans and crowded the box as soon as it was set down on the ground. It was full of rectangular devices with lenses and led lights on one end.
"We'll set up these security cameras around and inside the house to see if anyone will try to break in again." One of the men said and CQ nodded.
The men said that they'll monitor the whole house in hopes of catching whoever was bothering the family. They also said that once they see someone suspicious around the house, they'll immediately alert the police. In which CQ was thankful for.
She was growing anxious. It would've been fine if the guy was simply looking for something to take; steal. But no. The guy was stalking them for some unknown reason.
More specifically, her son. It was obvious. The guy was in Geno's room and earlier, standing outside the car on Geno's side. The guy was too close to her son for her comfort.
CQ's gaze landed on Geno who was with the kids, inspecting the security cameras with a big curious eye.
The pink haired mother bit her lower lip. Their situation was getting worse. She just hoped these guys will catch him before he gets too close.
