Geno won't talk. CQ has been trying to make him talk, tell her anything he knew but Geno just simply won't talk.
CQ had told him about last night's breaking-in incident, there was a stranger in his room but Geno said he doesn't know anything about anybody sneaking into his room.
CQ doesn't believe him. The sudden change in his son's behavior these past few days must be caused by something. But Geno wouldn't tell her.
It utterly frustrates her as she pulled at her pink hair and paced around her room. Geno was timidly sitting on the foot of her bed, fiddling with the hanging end of his red scarf as tears welled in his eye as he watches his mother in distress silently cursed under her breath.
Error and Fresh were peeking through the doorway, both concerned for their mother. The last time they saw their mother this frustrated was when Geno was dying in the hospital.
And Error was scared of the reason why she was in this mood now. Certainly, it has something to do with the trespasser last night.
And the fact that CQ found the stranger in Geno's room made Error angry.
"Geno, please! Tell me what's going on! I want to help you!" CQ practically begged to her eldest child, kneeling in front of the said child and cupping both of his cheeks.
Geno sniffed as tears fall from his eye and rolling down CQ's hand. "I don't know, momma." he whimpered, looking up at his mother with big pleading eye. "I really don't know." he added followed by a big hiccup.
Seeing her son broke down seems to knock some sense into her as she quickly pulled her son into a tight hug. Oh gosh, did she goes too far?
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," CQ whispered against her son's skull as she held him close to her chest. Tucking the child's head underneath her chin and began rubbing soothing circles on his small back. "I'm sorry, mommy didn't mean to make you cry." she said. She just wanted to keep her babies safe.

After their little talk, CQ left her children on the couch and played some animated movie for them while she went and to the kitchen (for privacy) to call a friend. Tapping her phone screen with shaky thumbs, she brought the communication device close to her ear. Hearing the other line rings a few times before someone picks up.
Meanwhile, the three brothers sat on the couch and Error was told to keep an eye on his brothers. Geno was still pretty shaken as he sniffed and wiped away some remnants of his tears from his eye with his jacket sleeve.
Fresh's eyes were fixed on the TV screen. Although one of his hand was holding Geno's. He may not be able to feel anything but he knew something was wrong when someone's crying and he hoped holding their hand was good enough for comfort. Fresh was never good at comforting people due to his lack of empathy towards others.
But this was his brother. Even when he can't feel it, he knew he has some sort of deep connection to his family.
Error, for once, wasn't angry at Fresh. He actually appreciated his younger brother's silence during this moment of mess. The youngest' usual smile was also gone. It wasn't like he was frowning or anything, his face expresses... nothing.
Casting his gaze downwards, Error caught sight of Fresh' hand holding Geno's. Something inside Error stirred at the sight of the younger trying to comfort the upset Geno. Something that chases away the lingering annoyance he held against Fresh.
Error will never admit it but he might be proud of his little brother. Just a little.
He sighed and leaned back against the backrest. Turning his gaze back to the TV screen and quietly slipped his hand in Geno's, too.
Around half an hour later, a knock on the front door was heard and CQ rushed to answer it. She opened it and ushered the visitors inside. The three brothers perked up from their seats, curious to see whoever arrived.
It was their aunt Comyet with Ink by her side.
The three brothers watched and listened to the two adults' serious but short talk.
Comyet knew what happened, the word spread like a wildfire and as a safety precautions, she allowed her son, Ink, to skip a day of school. She wouldn't be comfortable knowing there's a probable murderer on the loose in their neighborhood.
The gossip says the stranger who trespassed CQ's home didn't take any valuable items, which was true, but that only raises the question; what do they want? If not to steal, then the stranger was probably looking out for a kill.
It sent shivers up Comyet's spine at the thought that her friend nearly got murdered last night.
She ushered her son, Ink, to play with the others while she pulls the distressed CQ to the kitchen so they can talk privately.
When the two adults were out of sight, Ink walked over to the couch and greeted them.
Error scooted against Geno to give Ink some space to sit next to him. While Geno scooted closer to Fresh to allow more free space for the newcomer.
"So, I heard someone broke in here last night." Ink began as he made himself comfortable.
Error nodded. "Momma says she found the guy in Geno's room." he said and Ink shifted his gaze to the said skeleton beside Error who looked away. Not wanting to be the center of attention.
"What's he doing in there?" Ink curiously asked.
Error shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. Momma didn't know either but she said she saw him staring at Geno."
Once again Ink's eyes were drawn to Geno who curled up and hug his legs closer to his body. It scared Geno knowing that there was someone else sneaking into his room. It scared him, even more, to think that this may not be the first time it happened. What if the guy had been sneaking into his room for a long time and he didn't even know about it. What if he comes back?
Then, a sudden thought hit him. What if the voice belongs to that guy. What if he was the one telling him to do... all those sorts of gruel stuff. Is it possible?
"Are you okay?" Geno snapped out of his trance as he looked up to find Ink and Error gazing at him with worried eyes. Geno nodded and was surprised to see Error reach his hand out and grab the hanging end of his scarf. Then lifted the long piece of cloth to Geno's eye.
Only then, Geno realized that he was crying.
The two mothers emerged from the kitchen after their talk and when CQ caught sight of Geno's flushed face, she frowned. She walked over and lifted the said boy in her arms. "It's okay, sweetie. I won't let anyone hurt you." CQ whispered and planted a kiss on her son's forehead.
Then she turned to the remaining children on the couch. "Boys, Aunt Comyet will be looking out for you while I'm gone. So behave." she said and was about to turn and left when Error jumped off his seat and grabbed the bottom hem of his mother's green sweater.
"Where are you going?" the dark boned child asked within an instant.
CQ turned back to him, Geno still in her arms, while Comyet pried Error's little hands off his mother's sweater. But Error has a tight hold of her clothes. Refusing to let go until he received an answer.
CQ bit her lower lip as she briefly looked away. Thinking of some sort of excuse to tell her son. She knew Error would demand to be taken too to practically anywhere she would take Geno to. But this place, CQ would rather not take her son. Any of her sons actually, but it was deemed necessary because Geno wouldn't tell her.
"We're just going to see the doctor, honey." CQ said and Geno and Error flashed her an alarmed look. Their eyes going wide as Error's grip tightens on his mother's clothes. His mother promised they'll never go back there, Error remembered.
"I'm coming, too!" Error said and CQ bit back a groan. She knew this would happen.
"Honey, please. Just stay here, I can't watch over you while we're there." she said and tried to pry his fingers off.
"Then let's take aunt Comyet, too!" Error firmly suggested, looking up at the said aunt with pleading eyes. CQ and Comyet exchange glances and Error thought he got through them. Only for his mother to shake her head and Comyet slipped her hands under Error's arms and lifted him up away.
Error trashed against Comyet's hold. Kicking his legs and uselessly waving his arms. Wanting to be let down as he reached out both of his little hands to his mother with tears pricking his eyes. "Momma, don't leave me!"
CQ gently shushed him. Petting his head and planting a kiss on his forehead. "It's okay, honey. We won't take long." she said and adjusted her hold on Geno for emphasis.
With one last bid of 'be careful' from Comyet, CQ went out the door and straight into her car. She placed Geno on the front passenger seat so she can keep a better eye on him.
Comyet let Error down, who immediately ran to the window just in time to see his mother's car drove away.
~~~~~
CQ's car slowed to stop in front of an unfamiliar but old looking building made out of bricks.
Geno watches as his mother unbuckled her seat-belt before stepping out and followed her example. She led him inside which was full of people in a hospital gown he was well familiar with but they were acting really weird.
There was one woman with a nurse and she was smiling. Just simply smiling. Making huge gestures as if she was telling a story and speaking like a child even though she was as tall as his mother. Another person, a male this time, won't stop shaking. It was scary in Geno's opinion, making him question if the person was okay.
After talking to the receptionist, they kept walking through the sanitized hallway, coming across more patient and a lot of them, to Geno's opinion, act like zombies. They were walking aimlessly, sometimes against the wall, they were either groaning or laughing and others were just... staring at nothing.
Geno pressed himself against his mother's leg as they walk, grabbing a fistful of her pants cloth for comfort and in response, his mother's hand rests on his shoulder.
Soon, they reached a door with the words Geno can't either read or pronounce, much less know what it means. It was too difficult for him. But he did recognize the two letters before the name. It was 'M.D.' which gave Geno a clue that it was the doctor's office. But Geno has never been in this hospital before.
CQ knocked and came a late answer from the inside. When the door opened, Geno was led inside and he saw an old man with gray hair and beard sitting on his chair behind his desk.
They were ushered inside and his mother set him on one of the cushioned chairs by the old man's, which Geno assumed as the doctor, desk. He listened as his mother talks to the doctor. She told him about her son's current problems like trouble with sleeping and loss of appetite while the doctor took some notes down on a piece of paper.
Then, the doctor turned to Geno and began asking questions.
To be continued...
