Draco Malfoy: Amelia the mole
____________
20th of September 2015
____________
Since finding out that Amelia was the mole, Draco had been biding his time. But today was the day he was going to confront her at last. Draco had thought about telling someone about his discoveries, but, for some reason, he didn't.
He felt like it would just take longer if he told someone with more power. Someone like Harry or Hermione, Ronald... Harry wouldn't want to believe that she was the mole. He wouldn't want to believe that she had betrayed them.
Hermione would just tell him to get more information before making such a serious accusation. And Ron... Well, Ron would probably believe him, but he wouldn't know what to do about it. He would probably just end up telling Harry, and Harry wouldn't believe it. So Draco was left with one option: confront her himself.
In hindsight, Draco would look back on this decision as one of his "reckless Gryffindor moments."

Draco walked into Songbird Headquarters. Walking through that door almost felt like someone had put a Jelly-Legs curse on him. He had thought he was ready to confront her, but now he just felt so nervous. He sat down at the order table, deciding he would do it after the meeting. Harry and the others droned on about this and that, about this plan, that plan. Finally, came the obituaries.
"I regret to inform you that more of us have been taken:
Felix Weasley,
Gwendolyn Stone,
Andrew Bones,
Amethyst Brown,
Serena Finnigan,
Valentina Diggory. Please, take a moment of silence for these fallen Songbirds." As Harry finished speaking, no one made a sound. "Thank you, meeting adjourned," Harry said after a minute. Draco could feel his eyes watering. Felix had been one of the first to accept Draco had changed. Now he was gone, off to who knows where. Draco finally managed to rein in his emotions. He turned to the person responsible for this. "Amelia," he said. She turned. "Could I speak to you for a moment?" She looked nervous. "N-no, I need to go, y-you know, cook... dinner and... stuff." Draco didn't miss how she avoided his eyes. "Oh, Amelia, it'll only take a moment," he insisted. He could see the worry in her eyes as she agreed.
He walked with her to a small pantry-like room to the side of the entry hall. He kept his hand on his wand the entire time, just in case. Once in the room he cast a silencing spell. "Amelia... I-I HOW COULD YOU!" he exploded. She looked at the ground. "HOW COULD YOU BETRAY US LIKE THAT?" Tears were forming in his eyes now. "W-w-what ever do you mean Draco?" she asked, feigning confusion, her voice was slightly higher than normal. Draco laughed, almost manically. "WHAT DO I MEAN! WHAT-WHAT DO I MEAN??" he looked her dead in the eye. "What I mean is that you, you are the reason so many people have been captured, tortured because of you." His tone turned from rage and anger to the cold, grief-filled sting of betrayal. She looked frantically around the room for an escape route but found nothing. "I know you're the rat, Brocklehurst," he said with an air of finality, his voice cracking. She looked at the ground, cowering before him and started to sob. "Draco... Draco please th-they they had D-D-Damion a-and R-Robin, p-p-please I had no choice!" She cried to him about how they had her children, about how she had no choice, but then something strange happened. She collapsed to the ground, her eyes staring at the ceiling, unseeing. "Amelia? Amelia!? No... No please... please don't be dead..." He checked her pulse, nothing. He started to cry over her body. "NO AMELIA! NO HOW?!?!!" a horrible thought dawned on him. "Oh, oh Amelia, t-the Unbreakable Vow." He looked at her body and rolled up her sleeve. There on her arm sat the Grimshades mark. It glowed white for a moment, then started glowing and pulsing a deep blood-red. Her body became paler and paler, as if it were sucking the blood out of her. Then, with a final wisp of dark red smoke, it bulged, swelling until it finally burst, letting Amelia Brocklehurst's crimson blood soak the wooden floor.

Draco stayed there for two hours before someone found him. He had cried his heart out over the dead body of one who had caused so much pain. Eventually, the door opened, a figure came in through, letting light from the kitchen fill the small, blood soaked pantry. "Draco?! W-what happened?" Draco turned to look at the figure, who had turned as pale as her at the sight of Amelia's dead body. "Did-did you do this?" Draco's blood went cold as he realized how bad this looked. "No, no please, I can explain!" he begged the figure. "Please do!" the figure demanded. "W-well I've known for a few weeks now that-that Amelia w-was the m-mole and today I decided to confront her, but w-well when I did she started crying and confessing it all then she just c-c-collapsed..." He broke down into tears. When he regained strength, he continued, " I realized she must have made an Unbreakable Vow with Malfoy, she-she has the mark..." He finished, helplessly indicating to her arm where, even through the blood, her mark, now with ten dots, was visible. Hermione gasped. "Oh, Draco..." She let him cry on her shoulder, a small light in a sea of dark.
Sorry this one was kinda short! 925 words. I just felt like this was the right place to end it, also sorry for the late update and thank you for reading.
P.S. this is NOT a dramione fic, I have strictly kept the canon relationships except Remus and Sirius's, this is absolutely a romione fic, it does NOT have dramione. K bye
