On Hold

So this has been a while coming I think. In case you didn't guess from the title, I'm postponing this book until further notice. I'll go ahead and say why I did it below. Please note this only applies to this and not to "The Thirteenth Colony."

1 Schedule
When I started writing this book I had a lot less going on, but as of now, I have increased activity in and out of school. I barley have time to write now, so I can't really check what I read or do long chapters.

2 Enthusiasm
At first when I cancelled my first book so I could rewrite it, I was really excited to do this story. Then I began writing it and as time went on and I didn't have as much time to write, making me rush it, making it just feel like a chore. I still love this book, but writing for it has just felt so tedious as of late.

3 History

I feel like I've been enjoying doing my newest story because it's been pretty streamlined and based off historical events and is a bit easier to make.

In the end I will return one day to finish this story, but recently the chapters I put out have been low effort, poorly written, and short with terrible dialogue. I know this is similar to what happened with my last book, so here's my pledge. I will not abandon "The Thirteenth Colony," Unless something major happens, like losing my arm.

I know I've been teasing hints in this story for the end twist and since I'm continuing the story I won't reveal that twist but I am thinking about a new non-statehumans book, I won't say what it's about but I will give a hint here, and I'll announce it when I do my update in "The Thirteenth State," for chapter 5.

"We roamed for weeks, maybe months, leaving behind all the things we believed had once made us. It was hope that pushed us forward, slowly, step by step. We knew the cost of our journey and we paid the price, a hundred times."

That is a quote from what the story will be about, so stay tuned for more, and until next time I update this book, just know that one day I'm coming back, and if this story will still be in your archive, then one day, you'll see I've kept my promise.
