Christmas Special

So this story takes place before the civil war, and doesn't connect to the story, I just wanted to post something for Christmas.

Texas, Louisiana, and Virginia.

It had been almost an hour now, and the states assigned to find a tree had come up empty handed. Virginia pointed to one nearby, "Look, there's one that seems sturdy." Without turning around Texas replied, "Not big enough." This had been how looking for a tree had gone so far, and the usually cool headed Virginia was starting to get irritated. He felt his hand clench into a fist, "Then what ex-" Texas began running towards a decently sized Douglas Pines. "It's smaller than the last one!" Virginia yelled. "No it ain't, you just blind." Before Virginia could respond, a racoon jumped out of the tree the three were gathered around, and onto Virginia's foot.

"Shoot it, shoot it!" Virginia yelled as Texas raised his revolver, Louisiana pulled out a spork, "Don't you dare Tex, that's good eats." She yelled lunging at the (probably feral) rodent.

North and South Carolina

"Come on, they can't be that hard to put up," North said as he grabbed the box of Christmas lights from his twin. The two had been tasked with setting up decorations. "If your so sure, then go ahead!" South said as she crossed her arms. As North opened the box of lights he saw a massive tangle of wiring. "Shit. Welp, good luck South." North said as he got up and bolted away.

Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama

"You find any?" Georgia asked his brother. "Sure as hell did," Alabama said coming into the kitchen. The states had been assigned the job of making Christmas cookies. It turned out they were out of most of the ingredients they needed, so they sent Alabama out to find them.

"Finally, lets make these." Tennessee said as he grabbed a bag of baking powder from Alabama.

All states

Georgia took the cookies out of the oven. Something seemed a bit off about them but he couldn't quite tell what. "Hey, are you guys sure we made these right." He asked. "We made them like we usually do, I don't think anything's changed."

"Probably just the new ingredients we had to use, I wouldn't worry about it." Alabama said. Just then Virginia, Texas, and Louisiana walked in through the door. "I'm telling you its smaller." Virginia told Tex as he carried in the tree. Then Georgia noticed what Louisiana was holding, "Hey Louisiana, why do you have a racoon in your hand?" The questioned state smiled with pride, "I went ahead and found us Christmas dinner."

Just then the twins came in, "You know you didn't need to hit me that hard South," North said rubbing his arm. His sister shrugged, "If I didn't, you wouldn't have helped."

As the states sat around the new tree, everyone except Georgia and Alabama started to eat a cookie.

5 minutes later

"But like, what if the world is a triangle?" Asked North. Ever since having the cookies, the states seemed a bit...different. "Hey Alabama, what the hell did you put in the cookies."

"Nothing, just sugar, salt, and that baking powder I found in Florida's bed. Meanwhile, the named state was talking with the others, "I'm glad you guys are finally talking normal." Said the sunshine state.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays y'all, normal chapter next week. I might post something on new years Eve too.
