Chapter 6

The walk to the states house was relatively uneventful, aside from Romania asking Georgia lots of questions. As they got closer though, he wondered about something, 'how the hell do I sell this everyone, especially after...the war.' Even the thought of fighting his brothers and sisters made him feel a little sick.

As Georgia went up the old wooden stairs leading to the front door he stopped and turned towards his new guests, he wasn't sure how to explain everything that had happened, but he still needed to tell them, "We just finished some... stuff here." Russia raised an eyebrow, "What kind of stuff." He asked, putting emphasis on the last word.

"We had some, well some fighting, between us. But don't worry, that's all over now. It should be safe, I just wanted to tell you since a lot of us on the best terms right now is all."

Georgia heard Russia mumble something that sounded like, "Just like home then," to him, but he couldn't be sure. Regardless of what his comment was, he turned the golden knob of the large front door and opened it.

In the large parlor which welcomed the visitors, the states present had turned their heads to see who had was here. Upon seeing Georgia, the southern states, and even a few northern ones, gave nodded or waved towards him. Georgia took that as a good sign that a lot of his siblings held no grudges after the late war.

As the assembled states saw Russia, Poland and Romania, though, they started to show a bit of well natured interest towards the visitors. The murmurs and nods turned to fear as Ukraine entered. Georgia didn't say anything towards them, "Right this way," he said over his shoulder to the guests. A few states looked like they were going to confront Georgia as he walked, but at a glance at Ukraine, decided to give them a wide birth.

When Georgia finally arrived at the guest bedroom, he he opens the door for the others, "This is it." He announced to them. Romania imminently ran to one of the bed's the and began to jump on it. "Look at this place! It's huge and there's no snow on the floor." Georgia wasn't quite sure what a 'schno' was, but he figured it was best not to ask. He turned towards the others, "Sorry it's not more. "

Ukraine put a hand on his shoulder, "It's plenty. Thank you."
"She's right, this better than what we expected." Poland added, hitting Russia with her elbow a bit. He sighed a bit, as if he was building up to something, "Da, it's generous comrade. I'll pay you back someday, that's a promise." Georgia just held up his hand, "I'll hold you to that." That actually got an exhale from the nose of latter.

"Y'all get situated, I'll explain the situation to my siblings."

Ok, I know I said that the we were done with short chapters, but something came up, and I spent the morning doing a Christmas ceremony, and kinda passed out when I tried to edit what I had written for this chapter. I figured I'd upload this part of it toady and upload the rest tomorrow. Better to have it be late a day than be terrible I think.
